An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant

- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.

- Observe pupils, sharing observational findings, contribute to the implementation of activities to support development.
- Actively contribute towards record-keeping particularly in respect of pupil learning, therapeutic interventions, behaviour management, child protection and any other specific programme set up for individual pupils by the teacher / Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant / Therapist.
STL 3 – Help to keep Children Safe
- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.
- Read relevant documentation / mandatory reads in relation to Keeping Children Safe In Education.
- Report any signs and indicators of possible abuse, being sensitive to the child/young person and circumstances, Identifying, report and record changes in behaviour and physical signs.
- Be aware of and follow plans, risk assessments and record keeping pertaining to individual pupils, including care plans, health care plans, feeding plans, moving and handling and behaviour management plans, actively engaging in relevant training and competencies offered to ensure that you are able to support in keeping all pupils in the class safe.

The Position
The Communications and Marketing team works to build the Fund’s brand presence and visibility with key audiences, delivers campaigns to grow its digital community and pipeline of individual donors, and leads on strategic communications projects to further the organization’s programmatic and developmental objectives. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, the Marketing Technology & Analytics Lead works to ensure that all communications and marketing activities are maximally robust, well-optimized and data driven. Essential Duties

- Work closely with the other members of the Communications and Marketing team, across the full range of web, paid and organic social, and email marketing, assessing analytics and technology needs and offering technical insights that can inform optimizations and future strategies
- Manage and build dashboards and reporting templates that maximize insight across all digital marketing, communications, and individual giving metrics
- Act as the overall technical owner of the organizational website, building new website pages as needed and ensuring the best possible user experience
- Manage the infrastructure of the Fund’s email marketing platform, MailChimp, providing support to others in the team on technical MailChimp projects, such as implementing automated journeys, managing audience segments, and producing templates that require HTML or CSS coding
- Manage the Fund’s donation platforms (currently Funraise) and build unique donate pages, pop-ups, and campaign page templates as needed, using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where necessary
- Ensure the flow of data between the Fund’s marketing platforms and Salesforce, working across teams to provide technical support on integrations and cross organizational systems, and scoping any platform improvements
- Lead on Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing, overseeing the Fund’s Google Ad grant account and utilize it to help increase website traffic
- Manage and update supporter and transactional data to ensure an elevated level of hygiene and manage the synchronization of all data between all marketing tools and Salesforce
- Work with the Communications and Marketing and Individual Giving teams to inform the conceptualization and planning of fundraising campaigns and manage their implementation from a technical perspective, and work alongside colleagues throughout their campaigns to ensure accurate data management and analysis
- Coordinate and lead on the management of the team’s video, photo, and audio libraries, ensuring all assets are appropriately downloaded, compressed, tagged, and stored
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the security, analytics, and implementation of all external communications technologies
- Take on other ad hoc internal and external communications-related projects and learning opportunities in line with organizational needs and the post-holders' abilities.
Minimum Qualifications

Job Profile
The post is a pivotal role in CAFOD’s Asia & Middle East (AME) team supporting the Head of Region in the management and co-ordination of regional programming and organisational processes ensuring smooth administration, programme cycle management and communications. The post holder will be responsible for building effective working relationships with peers in the International Programme Group, as well as with colleagues across CAFOD such as funding, finance, and communications. They will act as the AME focal point for communications, supporting programme teams to develop materials for internal and external audiences.
CAFOD’s Asia & Middle East region currently has core programmes in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Lebanon, Myanmar, occupied Palestinian territory and Israel, Sri Lanka and Syria.
Key Responsibilities
The scope of the post falls into the following broad functions:
- Support and co-ordination: supporting the Head of Region in the management and coordination of cross-regional work and relevant organisational processes.
- Communications: supporting the effective communication and flow of information across the regional team and with the rest of the organisation, including supporting programme teams to prepare communications materials.
- Programme & financial support: supporting the Head of Region in the management of cross-regional partnership projects/programmes, providing similar support to Programme Officers in the region when their workload requires.

- Assist the Head of Region in the management of any cross-regional partnership projects/programmes, including correspondence with partners, approval and payment of grants, monitoring and reviewing reports, and maintaining paper and electronic project files.
- Support Programme Officers across the region in their work with partners, managing grants to partners and other aspects of programme support when programme workloads require.
Communications:
- Support the effective flow of information and communication within the regional team and across CAFOD.
- Act as a key point of contact for information on the region’s work and work collaboratively with programme staff and other teams to ensure that CAFOD’s work in the region is fully reflected in the organisational agenda (e.g. in campaigning, fundraising, communications or media work).
- Be an active source of internal communication, providing easy access to information by developing and maintaining a regional team SharePoint site, as well as other specific sites on the intranet, and engaging with the media team as appropriate.
Administration:
- Provide administrative support to the Head of Region, including correspondence, information systems, management of the team diary, preparation and follow-up of monthly team meetings, design and monitoring of filing systems, and maintenance of database and other systems to provide effective planning, communication and information flow,
- Accompany staff to ensure efficient and effective use of the Programme Cycle Management system, working in conjunction with other teams in CAFOD, to provide support when necessary (e.g. when access is disrupted),
- Be the first point of contact and/or provide essential administrative support to the regional teams.
- Organise and co-ordinate induction for new staff directly managed by the Head of Region
- Provide administrative support to other members of the team where required, including helping to organise programmes for overseas staff/partner visits, travel and accommodation needs, routine correspondence, and occasional cover for colleagues when absent,
- Coordinate the work of the region’s London-based volunteers and liaise with relevant staff on all volunteer-based issues.
Representation:
- Attend and represent the region in CAFOD networks, working groups and similar fora on behalf of the Head of Region, or other members of the team as required,
- In agreement with the Head of Region attend external meetings or events occasionally and identify and follow up on actions from these.

The Regional Support Officer is the AME regional focal point on Safe, Accountable, Dignified and Inclusive programming (SADI). This role is currently held by the other job-share, but this post-holder will deputise from time to time.

Working Hours and Location

Salary Details

Finance Business Partner (Corporate Services)
Job Purpose
- To be the lead accountant within the finance function supporting our corporate activities, including HR, Comms, Finance and Property & Operations
- To lead our annual budget setting process and annual refresh of our Five Year Plan
Remit
Finance Business Partnering support for HR, Comms & Finance
- Be the primary point of contact between finance and heads of department
- Support budget holders in managing their budgets, advising and upskilling them where necessary
- Challenge budget holders in the event of variances to budget
- Respond to queries from the business, acting as the ‘face of finance’, and escalating where necessary
- Working with budget holders and finance staff to ensure that management accounts are accurate and accompanied by a strategically useful narrative
- Support continuous improvement of productivity and efficiency
Finance Business Partnering support for Property & Operations
- Lead finance relationship with outsourced service providers (utilities, facilities management, service charge management)
- Lead finance relationship with tenants
- Manage all BAU estates related budgets
- Manage VAT treatment of estates costs
- Advise on strategic estates options to maximise the financial and social returns on our investments
Cash and investments
- Monitor and report on the performance of our investment portfolio
- Working with colleagues to maximise returns on our cash balances while ensuring that we have sufficient liquidity to meet our expenditure needs
Annual and five-year budget setting process
- Own the annual charity budget setting process in collaboration with the FD/Head of Finance
- In parallel, refresh the charity’s five year financial plan
Management
- Matrix management relationship with accounts payable officer and assistant financial accountant
- Approval of journals and invoices for posting
- Work as team member of the Finance department
- Take part in cross-directorate corporate projects and working groups
- Deputise for the Head of Finance and FD for own areas of responsibility

Person Specification
Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience as a Finance Business Partner or similar role (essential)
- CCAB qualified (desirable)
- Excellent IT skills, including a thorough knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and databases (essential)
- The ability to manage and juggle a large workload whilst maintaining an excellent service level to internal & external stakeholders (essential)
Communication:
- To have excellent communication skills both verbally and written

The NHS Retirement Fellowship is a registered charity No. 287936 which exists for people who have worked in or for health and social care services.
We offer social, leisure and educational activities and welfare support to our members. We facilitate continued and new friendships, focused on local branches across the UK and postal members. We offer national support and events, including a hugely popular national conference.
