HR Business Partner
Permanent

Start Date: January 2022
34.5 hours per week (flexible working options available)
London Salary: £55,000 – £60,000
National Salary: £51,500 – £56,500

Are you an established, experienced and strategic HR Business Partner? Have you provided senior and executive business leaders with critical support in shaping and delivering their organisational design and people agenda? If so, we’d love to hear from you. Your first-rate HR expertise will have a vital impact on people affected by cancer across the UK.

Macmillan has recently been through a large-scale change programme, where ways of working, structures, design and strategy across most areas have changed. The HR department has an ambitious plan to ensure that we now support the organisation to delivery its strategic objectives, putting our people and customers at the heart of everything we do.

What is the role?
Partnering with Executive Directors and Senior Leaders within our Direct Services and Strategy directorates, you will be key in co-developing and implementing Directorate people plans that align with Macmillan’s wider organisational strategy. You will effectively support and challenge senior leaders and provide proactive and innovative solutions across the full spectrum of people priorities.

It is imperative that you and your colleagues in the HR Business Partnering team are included in all leadership decisions and directive; challenging and coaching your client groups to do better for our people. 2022 will see some big milestone launches for the HR department and HR BP team; including a new Diversity & Inclusion strategy, core training and development launch and a new talent and resourcing approach.

Who are we looking for?
You are an experienced, dynamic, and forward-thinking strategic business partner who has a strong understanding across a broad spectrum of HR specialisms and functions (learning and development, recruitment, reward, talent management and diversity and inclusion). You have a proven ability to build effective working relationships with senior leaders; offering strategic insight, coaching and challenge, as appropriate.

You will have a broad knowledge of organisational design principles and aligning design within a business to an operating model; demonstrating several examples of successfully working with leadership on the future design of a team or unit.

Finally, your significant experience of HR legislation, consultation and change combined with proven experience of using data and insight to influence decision-making, will make you a strong candidate to help shape and be a part of our strategic business partner offering.

Experience of working in a Charity or Third Sector organisation is not needed, we welcome applications from all industries and backgrounds.

Recruitment Process

Location and Travel
This role will be based as a dual location – both home and in our London Office, spending approximately 1 to 2 days in the office each week.
