Location: Hybrid – TLG’s National Support Centre, West Yorkshire (minimum 40% office-based including Tuesdays)
Salary: £37,066 - £40,090 (FTE)
Hours: Flexible, 30 – 37.5 hours per week (0.8 – 1.0 FTE)

About the Role
As we journey towards our vision to bring fullness of life for every child, no matter what struggles they face, we’re looking for a passionate, motivated and mission-driven individual to join our team as Finance Manager.
The Finance Manager will play a central role in shaping the financial strength and future growth of the charity. As the operational lead for day-to-day finance, you’ll ensure robust financial controls, deliver accurate and timely reporting, and provide clear, strategic insight that empowers leaders across the organisation. Working closely with the Director of Finance, you will be a key voice in safeguarding financial health and driving forward our mission.
As someone who has completed or nearly completed their Accountancy qualification, you will be given responsibility in an environment centred on growth. The Finance Manager will lead a high-performing finance function, bringing expertise across budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis. You will oversee and continually improve financial systems and processes, ensuring they are efficient, compliant, and fit for a growing organisation with ambitious goals. As you take on this impactful role, we will support and develop you as a leader with sector-leading internal and external training.

About You
You will be a fully or nearly Qualified Accountant who wants to grow in a finance career with an organisation committed to seeing you flourish. You can work well within a high‑performing finance function, bringing strong charity finance experience, excellent technical skills, and the ability to communicate clearly across the organisation, including with department heads throughout the team. You’ll balance strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery of management accounts, budgeting and reporting. Alongside this, you’ll bring an active Christian faith, playing a full part in the spiritual life of the organisation and working sensitively with people of all backgrounds.

We are seeking a talented Management Accountant to join our small, collaborative finance team on a permanent, part-time basis. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this new hands-on role will play a key part in delivering high-quality financial insight and supporting decision-making across an expanding organisation.
About the role
You will produce accurate monthly management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide clear financial analysis. Working closely with budget holders and colleagues across the organisation, you will help explain performance, investigate variances, and support informed decision-making. You will take ownership of key elements of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and will support cash flow forecasting and day-to-day financial operations. Your ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders will be key to your success.
You will also play an important part in maintaining strong financial controls and supporting statutory reporting and audit processes. From assisting with VAT returns to improving financial systems and processes, you will help ensure the finance function runs smoothly and effectively.
This is a varied role where continuous improvement is actively encouraged, giving you the opportunity to shape how financial information is produced and used across the organisation.
Role Specifics
We are looking for a part-qualified accountant with strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis. You will have excellent Excel skills, experience of finance systems, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience of supporting non-finance colleagues and, ideally, working in the charity or not-for-profit sector would be an advantage.

Supporting the Technical Manager, you will lead and motivate a committed technical team to ensure the flawless execution of large-scale transfers, touring musical theatre, dance, opera, comedy and live music shows; supporting produced work and public-facing activity from our Creative Futures programme.
This is a balanced, hands-on and production-focused role. It requires combining administrative and logistical preparation - such as advancing technical riders, developing costings and estimates and preparing staff rotas - with leadership and delivery of high-level stagecraft management during intensive fit-ups, show operations and rapid get-outs.
