This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within Supporter Services at a crucial point of transformation. As Senior Supporter Services Manager, you’ll act as deputy to the Head of Supporter Services, providing steady operational leadership across a busy, multi faceted function while a major CRM programme is delivered across Fundraising. It’s a role for someone who’s comfortable operating at pace, holding complexity, and making sure the day to day never loses momentum while change is happening around it.

You’ll take responsibility for the smooth running of supporter care, income processing, fulfilment, Gift Aid and associated operational activity, ensuring high standards are maintained across every touchpoint. You’ll also play a key role in strengthening processes, refining ways of working, and helping embed recent structural changes so the function is set up for long term effectiveness.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Fundraising, Finance, Data & Insight and external partners, you’ll bring clarity, structure and practical decision making to a fast-moving environment. The role needs someone who can balance operational detail with wider priorities, spot risks early, and keep service delivery on track without losing sight of the bigger picture. Above all, you’ll bring strong leadership, sound judgement and a calm, solutions-focused approach to a function that sits at the heart of supporter experience.

You will be contracted to our Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as Senior Advice Session Supervisor. You will lead a team of staff and volunteers in providing high quality information and advice services across our two main offices in Peckham and Walworth by face to face, telephone and digital access channels.

• The Handyperson Job booker is a pivotal and busy role in the team receiving incoming referrals from a range of sources and scheduling these daily tasks to team members according to the needs of the service. We receive referrals from our four Hospital to Home services across East London (Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest), as well as self-referrals for smaller jobs for from Tower Hamlets residents.

• We also deliver projects in Havering in partnership with Age UK Redbridge, Barking and Havering, currently these are:

Background Information and Purpose of Post

The Institutional Relations team is responsible for donor engagement and influencing, institutional funding, and partnerships in the UK. It comprises the Head of Institutional Relations, three Programme Funding Officers and an Institutional Funding Volunteer.

You will work as part of a dynamic team to support delivery and implementation of an ambitious institutional relations strategy. With a particular focus on the FCDO and START Network alongside growing Australian and Irish portfolios, the Institutional Relations team builds partnerships and maximises income and influence to achieve HI’s strategic aims. Given the changing external funding environment and evolving context in the UK, we are looking for an individual who is willing to be flexible and adapt to the context in order to meet the organisation’s needs and have the biggest impact for people with disabilities.

The main purpose of this post is to:

· Improve our track record for UK and other funding by increasing internal understanding of donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, supporting high quality submissions, grant management and donor compliance

· Strengthen relationships with, and generate and manage funding from, UK and other institutional donors and partners, particularly Irish and Australian donors

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Promoting our work and building relationships with institutional donors

Supporting the work of the Head of Institutional Relations, you will have sound knowledge of the donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio and contribute proactively to influencing their funding strategies and priorities. Duties include:

· Maintain a good understanding of HI’s programmes, strategy and approach and communicate this externally.

· Identify and build relationships with a portfolio of large public and private institutional donors and their key suppliers (e.g. INGOs and for-profit development companies), mobilising colleagues from UK and across the global organisation as required.

· Work with country programmes to develop country-level action plans to engage with local representatives of UK donors and partners, in order to strengthen in-country relationships, influence donors’ country-level plans and access in-country funding opportunities. This will also involve supporting the development of multi-year operational plans and advise on the funding possibilities offered by UK institutional donors.

· Anticipate future trends and the expectations of the donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, influence their policies and strategies, and negotiate and consult with them on institutional funding matters, in liaison with the appropriate colleagues from the UK team and federal network.

· In coordination with the Head of Institutional Relations and the Chief Executive, monitor and where needed, contribute to collective work and advocacy initiatives in collaboration with partners and INGO networks (such as the Start Network and targeted Bond groups) with the aim of raising HI’s profile and influencing UK donors in line with our influencing priorities.

 

Generate and manage institutional funding from UK donors

You will follow and champion HI’s internal institutional funding procedures to identify and analyse funding opportunities from UK sources, contribute to project submissions, and carry out grant management duties. You will:

· Monitor, identify, analyse and communicate all relevant funding opportunities from donors in your portfolio (including development and humanitarian grant opportunities and commercial contracts). This will involve facilitating internal go/no go decision-making for new opportunities and advising and supporting programme colleagues on positioning and consortium-building when relevant.

· Lead the review and analysis of the requirements in new funding agreements and contracts, advise internal stakeholders on compliance and ensure appropriate contract negotiation and due diligence processes are followed.

· Implement internal procedures for contract/grant management, including information management, and support the submission of reporting and payment requests according to donor requirements.

Improve our track record for UK institutional funding

You will be responsible for increasing internal understanding of donors and funding mechanisms in your portfolio, particularly FCDO, Start Network, Australian DFAT and Irish Aid, supporting high quality strategic submissions and donor compliance. You will:

· Create internal communications, train and brief finance, programme and technical staff (including country programmes) on the donors in your portfolio, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to comply with donor rules, understand donor priorities and focus areas, and maximise the potential for funding.

· Support proposal development, advising on donor requirements, expectations and preferences.

· Build strong relationships and internal links with technical and programme teams and contribute to internal working groups on issues related to institutional funding.

 

Other duties

 

· Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues and the Federal Institutional Funding, and Operations teams.

· Actively contribute to the HI UK operational plan and team work plans, and internal staff meetings.

· Ensure high quality, accurate internal reporting and information management for your portfolio.

· Keep abreast of developments within the sector by liaising with counterparts in other NGOs, and relevant networks.

· Represent HI UK at external forums and meetings when relevant.

The Manager, Physics Workforce is a key role in the team with a core purpose of supporting and shaping activities that develop a strong and robust evidence base through research to:

• Identify the skills needs of physics powered sectors and champion new ways to meet them. 
• Highlight the often-hidden contribution of physics skills to our economy.

Projects you may work on include:

• A multi‑year, Physics Workforce programme that delivers evidence and insight on physics skills across the UK and Ireland.
• Development of sector deep dive projects to identify impactful policy, industry and IOP/partner-led solutions to identified shortages and challenges(with associated reports and stakeholder engagement).
• Supporting the workforce and skills elements of policy submissions and other initiatives across IOP’s strategic pillars of Skills, Science and Society.

A Support Worker will help to enable vulnerable people with complex support needs to manage their licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
This role will be based at for Pound Lane, which is a high complex needs 24-hour service with same shift pattern.

The working pattern for this role is: - 5 days a week, working over a seven day pattern, weekends included. Shift pattern 8am-4am and late shift 1.30pm-9.30pm

The Data, Evaluation and Learning team enables Impact on Urban Health to embed learning at the heart of its work, ensuring evidence is used to drive impact in Lambeth and Southwark and to advance understanding of urban health.
The Head of Data & Evaluation leads Impact on Urban Health’s approach to data, research, and evaluation, ensuring high-quality, equitable evidence informs what we fund, how we work, and how we understand impact. The role leads a specialist team, sets standards, and oversees the organisation’s core evidence base, helping ensure Impact on Urban Health is a credible and trusted source of insight on urban health.
The postholder will also provide expert input to other parts of the Foundation where relevant.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead on ensuring data and evaluation are embedded across our work, developing and overseeing the cycle from data and evidence inputs through to analysis and evaluation insights that inform decisions.
• Set the strategic direction for a programme of mixed-methods research, data analysis, and evaluation – that builds on existing evidence, helps us understand needs and impact, and that is equitable and proportionate.
• Design and oversee data and evaluation plans that generate insight for internal decision-making and external influencing, working with senior leaders across Impact on Urban Health.

The Head of Learning oversees cross-programme and innovation learning for Impact on Urban Health, in partnership with the Director of Innovation and the Head of Data & Evaluation, supported by the Evaluation & Learning Managers.

Key Responsibilites 

Impact on Urban Health:

• Oversee IoUH’s approach to learning, establishing clear processes for how we synthesise learning from our funded projects and from work done by others relating to urban health.
• Utilise reports produced and evaluations generated under the leadership of the Head of Data & Evaluation to produce synthesised evidence on the impact of and lessons from projects funded by Impact on Urban Health.
• Oversee production of urban health learning reporting and synthesis, including the development of a repository of evidence on what works to improve urban health and the development of accessible summaries of available evidence.
• Collaborate with the Head of Data & Evaluation, the Director of Programmes and Heads of Programmes to synthesise urban health learning from the four themed programmes.

Role Purpose

As part of the Clinical Services leadership team, the Adult Team Manager provides operational oversight, line management, and clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team delivering bereavement support to adults after the death of a child. The post holder ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and evidence-informed therapeutic support that is in line with organisational standards and clinical governance frameworks. They maintain a small caseload to ensure continued practice relevance and lead by example through high quality therapeutic work. Link Adoption & Family Support Service provides therapeutic support services for children, young people, and families across the UK. Much of our work is focused within adoption services, supporting adoptive families, children, and young people who have been adopted. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Social Worker to play a key role in coordinating therapeutic interventions that make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and families.

Working within a trauma-informed and attachment-focused service, you will manage referrals from initial enquiry through to case closure, ensuring children and families receive timely, appropriate support.
