About the role

We’re looking for experienced social media and communications professionals to join our freelance moderation team.

Our moderators support a range of charity partners, working across always-on activity as well as high-profile campaigns and appeals. You’ll act as the voice of each organisation — engaging with supporters, answering queries, and ensuring conversations are managed safely and effectively.

This role is well suited as a flexible, additional source of income. Most of our moderators are freelancers or consultants working alongside other roles.

Working pattern

Moderation takes place between 9am and 9pm, Monday to Sunday.

Rather than working in one continuous block, you’ll complete your hours in short check-ins across the day to maintain coverage and meet response time targets.

Each account is allocated a set number of ‘active moderation hours’ per day (e.g. 2-3 hours), which are spread across multiple sessions.

For example, 3 hours may be split into 5-6 check-ins throughout the day.

You must be able to:

• Start moderation from 9am (or earlier)

• Monitor activity throughout the day

• Complete a final check before 9pm

• Adhere to our sub-3-hour response time

Please note: In your first month, you will typically start on fewer accounts and hours (approx. 3 per day) while you get up to speed. Hours usually increase from month two onwards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the voice of our charity partners, consistently applying their tone of voice and brand guidelines

• Respond to comments, messages and queries in a timely, accurate and empathetic way

• Identify, manage and de-escalate negative or inappropriate content

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Minimum 3 years’ professional communications experience, working in-house for a charity or non-profit

• Proven experience moderating social media channels

• Excellent written communication skills, with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple check-ins

• Confidence in making judgement calls using guidance rather than scripts

• Understanding of fundraising and how charities engage supporters

• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-volume or sensitive situations

• Availability to work 3-6 days per week, including at least one weekend day

• Flexibility to adapt quickly if issues arise

Responsible for managing the Association's approach to high-quality, evidence-based patient information and meaningful patient involvement.  A core aspect of the role is overseeing and maintaing compliance with the PIF TICK quality mark, ensuring that all patient information meets the PIF TICK principles and demonstrates best practice in co-production, accesibiility and governance.  You will work closely with the BAUS Trustee for Patient and Public Involvement, the Chair of the BAUS Patient Information Reader Panel, independent medical education providers and the BAUS Clinical Sections to ensure that a robust framework is in place for the creation and review of BAUS patient information.

About the role:

This is a rare opportunity to take a clinical role out of a traditional setting and into the heart of Camden’s rough sleeping response. As Clinical Psychologist within our Rough Sleeping Outreach and Hub Service, you will work alongside people who are often navigating mental health challenges alongside homelessness, substance use and other experiences that can make engaging with support feel difficult or unsafe. Your role will be to help bridge that gap, bringing thoughtful, psychologically informed support directly to where it’s needed most.

You’ll combine direct clinical work with a strong focus on influence and impact. This means completing assessments and formulations, supporting access to appropriate mental health pathways, and holding a small caseload for more structured therapeutic work at the hub. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in strengthening how the wider service understands and responds to trauma and mental health, creating space for reflection, shared thinking and more effective ways of supporting clients to move away from the streets and towards safety and longer term stability.

Working closely with outreach teams, hub staff and external partners, you’ll help shape a more joined up and human approach to support. You’ll also line manage and develop an Assistant Psychologist, contributing to both their growth and the wider offer to clients. This is a role where your expertise won’t sit in isolation - it will influence practice, shape culture and ultimately help more people access the support they deserve.

About you:

• You’re a qualified Clinical Psychologist (HCPC registered) with experience supporting adults facing multiple disadvantage, including homelessness, mental health and substance use

Job Summary
You will have a strong understanding of the UK political system and how to influence it, and will be confident in drafting reports, consultation responses and working with and disseminating data. Key accountabilities

• Lead on determining how policy analysis, research and data are translated into campaign strategy, focussing on identified themes from Whizz Kidz beneficiary groups, particularly our Youth Board.

Key Responsibilities 

Communications & PR 

• Develop, contribute to and implement impact-driven and strategic communications campaigns that build Kineara’s presence across its wide audiences and expand its fundraising potential

• Manage digital content strategy for Kineara, including producing short from video content, promotional videos, infographics, interviews, thought leadership, impact storytelling, case studies etc. to grow Kineara’s digital and social media footprint 

• Work collaboratively with practitioners and the housing projects manager to regularly develop and publish information sheets, resources and content on Kineara’s website

• Plan and manage campaigns and petitions that influence policy and shape key decisions affecting our client group 

• Ensure consistent implementation of Kineara’s brand messaging across all organisational engagements, campaigns, and materials, in alignment with Kineara’s identity, mission, vision, and core values. 

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets to proactively promote Kineara’s work, including identifying relevant media opportunities, pitching compelling stories, responding to media inquiries

Fundraising 

• Develop positive relationships with a range of stakeholders providing funding to charities, including in the third sector, public sector, and the business sector, to raise awareness and promote our work 

• Contribute to grant and tender applications, and manage and coordinate work of external consultants supporting grant writing process where applicable 

• Manage and administer online fundraising platforms, and develop accessible, persuasive campaigns for public donations. 

Impact 

• Work closely with Operations Manager and practitioners to embed outcomes, utilise and optimise frameworks for monitoring and evaluate Kineara’s projects; and produce yearly evaluations and Impact Report of Kineara’s services 

• Utilise CRM software such as Advice Pro to generate data-driven impact analysis and develop evidence-based communications materials for donors, funders and stakeholders

• Use learning from impact analysis to share with team and deliver impact-driven communications and to share our social value to funders and other stakeholders.

Job Title: Legal Project Officer

Reports to: Legal Officer and Director of Strategic Litigation and Advice

Annual leave: 25 days per annum, plus bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year off. 

Salary: £31,000 to £33,000 per annum starting salary, depending on skills and experience, NB. pension is 5% of salary

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, plus 1 hour lunch break (NB. evening working is required to attend any scheduled evening meetings, which ordinarily finish no later than 7pm).

About the Role

The Legal Project Officer coordinates two projects which sit at the heart of ILPA’s legal policy and strategic legal coordination work.

The Legal Project Officer will work closely with the Legal Team (Legal Director and Legal Officer) to run ILPA’s Working Groups and with the Director of Strategic Litigation and Advice in a key role to coordinate strategic legal advice and litigation. The Legal Project Officer also works closely with the rest of the ILPA Secretariat, including the Chief Executive, Content and Digital Channels Manager, Training Manager, and with Trustees, ILPA and SLAC members, the SLAC Steering Committee and convenors of ILPA’s Working Groups.

You will support the organisation and running of ILPA’s thematic Working Groups, which provide a valuable forum for ILPA members to share best practice and discuss issues of current importance, assisting with agenda-setting, presenting updates, following-up on action points, answering queries, and preparing meeting summaries. The overall aim of these activities is to improve immigration, asylum and nationality law, policy and practice. 

You will work with the Director of Strategic Litigation and Advice to develop partnerships with NGOs and legal professionals around the UK and to coordinate all Strategic Legal Advice Committee (SLAC) meetings. These meetings will be held online, across the UK. Each SLAC group will hold four meetings per year as well as emergency meetings where necessary. You will be responsible for the minute taking of all SLAC meetings. You will work with the Director of Strategic Litigation and Advice to set member-led meeting agendas, identify member training needs, facilitate training, update the SLAC website, and feed in to monitoring and evaluation of the project. You will be responsible for coordinating SLAC Steering Committee meetings.

About you

The position would suit a self-motivated individual who is passionate about the sector and is looking to further their career in the immigration world, through coordinating and organising these two projects at ILPA.

You may be keen to be working at the heart of the systemic changes following Brexit, recent significant legislation, including the Nationality and Borders Act 2022, Illegal Migration Act 2023, Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Act 2024, Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Act 2025, and government initiatives to “reduce net migration” such as the increased Minimum Income Requirement for family visas, the suspension of the refugee family reunion route, and earned settlement and family returns proposals. 

You will have an interest in strategic litigation and how it can be used to protect and promote the rights of those discriminated against on the basis of their migration status. You will be passionate about being involved in the coordination of a unique and exciting project that brings the third and legal sectors together in developing strategic litigation. 

Given the complexity of immigration, asylum and nationality law, we do not expect applicants to have expertise in every area, but an understanding of the law and excellent critical analysis skills are key. Any successful applicant will be able to attend ILPA training to further their knowledge.

Main responsibilities

1. To liaise, work with, and gather evidence from ILPA and SLAC members to support advocacy and knowledge-sharing in the sector;

2. To coordinate and contribute to internal and external meetings;

3. To coordinate ILPA’s thematic working groups and SLAC meetings, including by attending evening meetings, agenda-setting, participating, drafting minutes/meeting summaries, and working with the Secretariat, ILPA’s thematic Working Group co-convenors, and SLAC’s Steering Committees to take forward agreed actions;

4. To handle queries relevant to ILPA’s thematic Working Groups and SLAC sent by members and others where appropriate, such as by forwarding these on to relevant individuals and drafting responses;

5. To manage SLAC’s Steering Committees;

6. To monitor, organise, and disseminate information, communications, and updates, which will often relate to law, policy, and litigation relevant to SLAC and ILPA’s thematic Working Groups

7. To assist with facilitating SLAC training events, and feed into the monitoring and evaluation.

Person Specification

Essential knowledge, experience, skills, and qualities:

1. A law degree, postgraduate qualification in law, or other relevant qualification in law; 

2. Experience of working in or with immigration, asylum and nationality law in the UK, such as in a caseworker or paralegal role;

3. Experience of building and managing effective professional relationships with a range of people, with demonstrable ability to communicate effectively in challenging situations;

4. Relevant legal knowledge, skills and judgment, including:

   1. an ability to navigate and understand the Immigration Rules and Government guidance,

   2. a general understanding of UKVI processes, and

   3. an ability to clearly communicate legal and technical information orally and in writing;

5. Excellent attention to detail;

6. Excellent planning, coordination, organisational, time management, strategic problem-solving and independent working skills, including:

About the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association

The Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) is a charity and a professional association the majority of whose members are barristers, solicitors, advocates and IAA (previously OISC) regulated advisers practising in all aspects of immigration, asylum and nationality law. Academics, non-governmental organisations and individuals with a substantial interest in the law are also members.

Founded in 1984 by leading practitioners in the field, ILPA exists to promote and improve advice and representation in immigration, asylum and nationality law, through an extensive programme of training and disseminating information and by providing research and opinion that draw on the experiences of members. ILPA is represented on numerous government, official and non-governmental advisory groups and regularly provides evidence to parliamentary and official inquiries.

About the ILPA Team 

You would be joining a small team, of around 10 team members. Under our current hybrid work policy, we have one anchor day (currently a Tuesday), in which you will be expected to work from an office setting in London, together with team members living in England and Scotland. On average, once a month, there will be a Working Group meeting in the evening that you will need to run in London. The rest of the time you will ordinarily work remotely or wherever conferences, training events, or meetings might take place. 

As a local grant maker, Young Camden Foundation's grants processes and operations are key to our success. This role will suit an adaptable and organised team player, who is up for a challenge and keen to learn. 

You will lead and develop YCF’s significant grant-giving programmes, organising and improving the grants process, keeping donors in the loop, and communicating the impact of the small grants programmes, and coordinating support from the team to ensure this work is well supported. In this role you will oversee both YCF’s small grants programmes to members, and also YCF’s delivery of the Holiday Activities & Food Programme, which together amount to around £900,000 per year in grants out to Camden’s youth sector.

You will lead on YCF’s operations, including clerking to the Board of Trustees, ensuring timely applications and reporting to funders, and overseeing all aspects of YCF’s operations. You will be supported by our Operations & Administrations Apprentice. You will support the CEO across YCF’s partnerships, cultivating our pipeline of funders, including Trusts & Foundations and corporate donors, and spotting and supporting opportunities wherever you can.  

As a natural team player working in a small team, you will spot opportunities to support  YCF’s membership (especially regarding grants) and the other functions of YCF’s work. As a place based organisation, you will ensure you are known in the local community, and amongst our key stakeholders, including grassroots VCS partners, Camden Council, and our key funders.

Along with the CEO and the Head of Membership & Impact, you will support YCF’s partnerships, including with business neighbours, spotting opportunities to amplify YCF’s work. In this important and dynamic role you will lead on both, working closely with the CEO to also support fundraising and partnerships.

Main Purpose of the Role

Grants management:

· Grants management: You will direct and lead the YCF small grants programmes (including Small & Mighty Fund, Holiday Opportunities Fund and Heads Up Mental Health Fund, of around £150,000 p.a.), including leading on design and guidelines, engagement with YCF’s grants committee structures, and reporting back to Trustees and funders. You will lead on grants decisions processes and communications, as part of YCF’s membership offer. You will oversee all due diligence processes as part of YCF’s grant giving offer, and ensure smooth reporting cycles with grantees

· Strategic oversight of HAF: Strategic leadership of the Camden HAF programme, overseeing the HAF Programme Manager in the stewardship of this DfE programme, and retaining oversight of key deliverables, together with the Heads of Children’s Commissioning at Camden Council

Fundraising and reporting:

· Fundraising: You will maintain our pipeline of supporters, including of our grants rounds, and lead reporting for YCF’s grants and core funding to funders, supported by the team. You will ensure timely funding applications submissions Together with the Head of Membership & Impact, you will support the CEO in all fundraising for YCF and our programmes, including identifying funding and partnership opportunities, drafting bids and pitches, and so on.

· Reporting: You will oversee and deliver timely reporting across YCF’s funders. You will manage and be supported by the Operations Apprentice to ensure smooth and timely processes. You will ensure YCF’s monitoring and evaluation frameworks are fit for purpose. You will work with the rest of the team to ensure this function is properly and efficiently supported, and will proactively identify ways to more efficiently record and report on information to funders, including effective use of our CRM.

Operations and governance:

· Operational leadership: You will be responsible for YCF’s operational running as an organisation, ensuring our processes are smooth and fit for purpose. In practice, this may include supporting the CEO in operational and strategic planning, supporting budget oversight (and leading in the areas of grants). Supported by the Operations Apprentice, you will oversee YCF’s HR processes for onboarding, recruitment and so on.

· Governance: You will support YCF’s governance processes, due diligence and compliance, ensuring YCF is compliant with our charitable obligations, and ensure our policies are up to date and we are compliant with them.

· Board minute taking: You will take minutes of YCF’s Board meetings, and ensure actions are followed up with, and oversee the Operations Apprentice in the setting up of meetings and logistics. You will support the CEO and Chair with the preparation of papers, as needed.

Management and leadership

· Management: You will manage two important roles for YCF, modelling leadership at YCF, alongside the CEO and the Head of Membership & Impact

· Representing YCF: You will represent the organisation at a senior level at external events, including via speaking opportunities

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, driven and creative Marketing and Events Manager who brings a genuine passion for fundraising and events — and the skills to match. This is not primarily a desk-based marketing role: you will be the engine behind our events programme and a key driver of our fundraising income.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the planning and delivery of CWC’s events calendar, manage our fundraising activities, and oversee the work of the Marketing and Events Officer. You will be equally comfortable developing the strategy and getting stuck into the detail of execution.

Events will be at the heart of what you do. You will take ownership of our flagship event, coordinate a varied programme of fundraising events, sector conferences and networking activities, and ensure every event is professionally delivered and leaves supporters feeling connected to our mission. You will manage relationships with venues, suppliers and sponsors, and keep a close eye on budgets and income targets.

Fundraising will be a core focus. You will be responsible for achieving financial targets from individual and corporate fundraising, developing creative campaigns across platforms such as Enthuse and JustGiving, and building the kind of relationships with supporters and partners that turn one-off donations into long-term engagement.

Alongside this, you will lead and support the Marketing and Events Officer, ensuring our marketing output — social media, newsletters, website content and campaigns — is consistent, engaging and aligned with our strategic goals.

About You

You will have a proven track record in events management and fundraising, ideally within the charity sector. You know what it takes to plan and deliver events from first concept through to post-event evaluation, and you understand how events can drive income as well as awareness.

You will be a confident, organised and proactive person who can manage competing priorities without losing sight of quality or deadlines. You will be comfortable working independently, managing your own workload and supporting others to manage theirs.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A proven track record in events management, with demonstrable experience of delivering fundraising income from events
• At least two years’ experience in a charity fundraising or events role
• Experience of line managing or supervising others
• Excellent relationship-building skills with sponsors, corporate partners and individual supporters
• Confidence using fundraising platforms (e.g. Enthuse, JustGiving) and CRM/database systems (Hubspot experience an advantage)
• Strong working knowledge of social media platforms, email marketing tools and website content management
• Experience managing budgets, monitoring income and expenditure, and reporting on financial performance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong project management skills
• Genuine enthusiasm for the charity’s mission and the people we support

Knowledge of the health and social care sector would be a distinct advantage, though not essential.

Prostate Progress is Prostate Cancer Research’s flagship digital data programme, supporting prostate cancer research, service improvement, and clinical trial recruitment using patient-reported outcomes and NHS clinical data.

This role will provide senior-level project management and delivery coordination across the Prostate Progress programme. The postholder will be responsible for organising, tracking, and supporting delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring strong governance, clear documentation, and effective coordination between internal teams and external partners.

Working closely with the Director of Patient Projects & Influencing, the role will help ensure day-to-day delivery runs smoothly and predictably, enabling senior leadership to focus on strategy and long-term programme development.

Responsibilities

Programme & project management

• Provide day-to-day delivery leadership across the Prostate Progress programme, prioritising activity, resolving delivery issues, and escalating strategically where required.
• Maintain project plans, timelines, action logs, and risk registers.
• Track progress against milestones, flagging risks, dependencies, and delays.
• Support delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring activity is coordinated and documented.
