St James’s Church seeks an energetic and dedicated individual to launch a new Changemaker Programme, for which seed funding has been secured. The idea behind the programme is that creative leadership is urgently needed in society today; and a matter for the soul too. The Director role has responsibility for the promotion, implementation, sustainability of, and reporting for the Changemakers programme. The essential requirements are leadership of an organisation with an education, charitable or community setting; ideally to have extensive operational programme and line management experience within the education or charitable sector; evidence of strategic thinking and business planning; evidence of delivering and or managing the delivery of events.

This is a full-time role in a well-established charity based in Twickenham. This role would suit someone who wants to have the opportunity to work flexibly and build their career in the Charity sector with experience of working in social care.

Richmond Carers Centre has the mission to help unpaid adult carers to live a full, active and meaningful life by providing them with advice, information, activities, breaks and emotional support either face to face, by phone or by email to enable them to live well.

As an Adult Carers Support Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and take a lead on providing emotional support to adult carers and a commitment to enhancing their health and wellbeing. Much of your work will involve actively listening to carers, often via the phone support line, providing information, advice and support. As part of the Adult Carers Support Team, you will also be involved in organising breaks for carers, outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. Part of the role will also aim to improve the identification, recognition and understanding of the needs of adult carers, raise the profile of adult carers and ensure adult carers needs are met. You’ll also be expected to work with our volunteers and to use appropriate monitoring and evaluation reports to show our funders what we’ve achieved.

Main Duties include:

• To encourage and assist carers and those they care for to access Care Needs Assessments and Carers Assessments and to take up services that will enhance their lives
• To complete individual grant applications with carers for respite or if they are experiencing financial hardship due to the cost-of-living crisis
• To work where appropriate with other service providers/agencies to promote the carer agenda or jointly deliver carer support issues
• To be proactive in the registration of carers living or caring for someone within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
• To keep accurate records of group and individual carer engagement for monitoring and evaluation purposes
• To participate in key events organised by Richmond Carers Centre and other relevant partners to promote services to a wider public

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Head of Governance will lead the charity’s small Governance and Risk, and Facilities teams. They are responsible for governance, company secretarial, risk management, health and safety, safeguarding, information governance, procurement and contracts management, business continuity planning, and management of facilities and the charity's office and small portfolio of other properties.

The role would suit someone who enjoys a broad remit and working with colleagues across the charity, who can think around issues and implement pragmatic solutions. As the role has a wide remit, the ability to learn quickly will be key. Candidates will need senior level experience of charity governance, risk management and safeguarding, ideally working with adults at risk. Applicants will need to be good communicators, verbally and in writing.

This role is 0.5FTE (17.5 hours per week). There is some flexibility around how the hours can be worked, but hours would normally be worked across 2.5 days a week, with attendance required at specific times for management and trustee meetings. Office attendance will be required on average 2 days a week for meetings and due to responsibility for office management.

Job Title: Executive Administrator

About the role:

The HR Assistant plays a vital part in supporting Back Up’s People Strategy by helping create a smooth, inclusive, and well-organised experience for all staff and volunteers. This part-time role provides essential administrative and coordination support across the HR function, from keeping records up to date to helping with onboarding, meetings, and employee engagement. It’s a great opportunity for someone who’s organised, keen to learn, and passionate about making a difference in a values-led charity. By supporting strong systems and processes, this role helps ensure our people feel valued and supported to do their best work.

Childhood First enables children and young people to recover from early life abuse and relational trauma, to enjoy life and to achieve their potential. We do this through the provision of specialist therapeutic residential care and treatment in communities in the South East of England. Purpose

The Office and IT manager will play a key role in delivering and maintaining the London office and facilities, and the IT services for the whole organisation alongside our retained IT consultants.
