This role requires using your initiative and proactive attitude than reactive.

You will also be working with women who are in trauma and can be in crisis requiring you to be empathetic but aspirational. You will provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a refuge setting, across the three sites.  You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and carry out key work with women survivors. You will be expected to work in one of the three Refuges as part of your role

• Support – Induction, Risk Assessments, Domestic Abuse, Mental Health, Benefits, Debt Advice, Move On, maintain accurate recording on Solace case management system and ensure regular reviews are carried out.

• You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, and the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.
• You should have an understanding of the homelessness process, either professionally or personally. 
• You will have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.

Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

Your main focus will be acquiring new supporters through digital channels — planning and delivering high-performing campaigns across paid social, PPC, email and more. You’ll also lead on developing and testing new digital fundraising products that inspire one-off and regular giving.

You might be working in digital fundraising, marketing, or performance-based acquisition. You’ll have experience running digital campaigns, analysing results, and using insight to drive improvements. You’ll also be a creative thinker who’s excited to try new approaches and help us grow.

This is a hands-on role that will also help influence strategy. You’ll work within the Individual Giving and Legacies team, but work closely with colleagues across Brand, Content, Digital and Data, and with external partners and agencies. Purpose of the job

Primarily, you’ll own responsibility for our small to medium grant pipeline, so we're looking for someone with a track record of successfully securing five figure funding from Trusts, Foundations, or Corporates. As well as writing high quality, comprehensive and persuasive funding applications, you’ll need to manage reporting and relationship management with the funders you successfully engage with and oversee wider fundraising areas, including playing a key role in our social media and communications, supporting sponsored event and London marathon runners, and playing a key part in planning our annual fundraising events. We see significant potential for growth within the role with the capacity for the right candidate to progress to Senior Fundraising Officer level within the first 12-18 months.

• To support the Fundraising Manager and CEO with the preparation of larger and more complex funding bids, showing capacity to progress to leading a proportion of these in time.
• To support the Fundraising Manager with research into future funding opportunities.
• To create detailed, timely and impactful reports for funders, including evidence and evaluation of the projects supported by their donations.
• To lead on our sponsored runs, including 12 London marathon places, ensuring runners are supported with event sign-up, fundraising pages and targets, and social media content. (circa 20 runners total per year).
• To support the Fundraising Manager in the delivery of our May Fundraising gala event evening, June match funded online campaign, Christmas campaign, Corporate volunteering days, and such other future events as may be required.
• To play a key role in fundraising related social media content creation and posting, supporters’ newsletters, supporters’ survey and wider social media and communications functions.

Person specification to include:

• Some previous experience in a fundraising role.
• Demonstrable skills in building powerful relationships with Trusts, Foundations, Corporates and individual donors.
• Good experience in creating impactful monitoring reports for funders.

Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post. Specialist Support Workers provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Support is also provided to develop a model of re-enablement towards self-advocacy, self-management and empowerment, incorporating the principles and practice of recovery, co-production and peer support.

The 5-week rolling rota pattern includes both evening and weekend shifts. The shifts are from 07:00 to 15:00 or from 14:00 to 22:00, with a mix of both types. You will have approximately one full weekend off every five weeks, plus one additional Saturday off and one additional Sunday off, resulting in a total of two full working weekends in every five weeks.

The Head of Social Policy leads the development of our thinking across public service reform, social security and housing.  This role develops - and is responsible for the effective delivery of a NEF-wide social policy strategy and of projects that are delivering on this strategy.  The Head of Social Policy acts as a key spokesperson for NEF and promotes our work at a local, regional and national level.

As NEF has a particular strategic focus on transforming the way policy is made so that it better reflects the lived experience of the people, communities and movements that most need change, we look to heads across our different themes to help develop and test new approaches to policy and advocacy.

The Head of Social Policy generates project ideas, oversees the development of quantitative and qualitative research, leads funding bids and manages day-to-day funder relationships.  This role leads a team which both develops our thinking on social policy and provides expertise to other teams at NEF.
