APB exists to support Religious Order Bursars (and others) involved in the management of their charities. A vacancy in the post of General Secretary will arise later this year due to the retirement of the current post holder.

The General Secretary is responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the Association which has over 200 members. The General Secretary ensures the APB website is kept up to date and useful resources are available to support members in their work. Each year an annual conference is held over either 3 or 4 days, and the General Secretary is responsible for the organisation of this. 

This is a home-based position that will require attendance at in person meetings from time to time and at the 3 or 4-day annual conference each October.

The post holder will need to be flexible and have a good knowledge of Microsoft office including excel, good administrative skills and an approachable manner as the key link for members. General knowledge of finance and accounts would be an advantage.

Reporting in to the Communications and Content Lead, the Copywriter will inspire audiences to give, act and pray with Christian Aid, so everyone can live a full life, free from poverty and injustice.

The post-holder will generate compelling creative copy and make impactful decisions around writing, editing, proofing and reviewing copy to the highest quality standard and supporting freelancers and agencies to do the same. The role has key responsibility for all income generation activities at Swindon Food Collective. This includes high-profile networking with local businesses, corporations and the public sector, processing grant applications, growing and managing key corporate partnerships and significantly increasing fundraising activities. This is a senior role and the role-holder will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The work involves undertaking frequent travel to local corporations, businesses, and wider public sector stakeholders. 

Role Purpose
To design, deliver and secure a multi-stream recurring income generation strategy, manage charity-wide philanthropy, and strengthen long-term financial resilience.

Key responsibilities

Strategy and planning
• Develop and deliver a 12–24-month income generation plan aligned to SFC priorities and the Trustee Strategy & Fundraising Committee.
• Build a balanced income mix (corporate, philanthropy, trusts, community and digital where appropriate), with clear targets and resource assumptions.
• Produce compelling cases for support and pitch materials tailored to different audiences.

Corporate partnerships and sponsorship
• Identify, cultivate and secure corporate partnerships and sponsorships (including 'charity of the year' and payroll giving where feasible).

This role will support the work of the World Obesity Federation in its role leading dissemination activities under a specific research consortium project; alongside support for intersecting areas of work across the WOF portfolio. Key activities will include: Developing content for website and social media from scientific outputs; using a media monitoring tool to gather relevant data and insights to support dissemination; and co-ordinating planning for webinar and event hosting and project participation at wider events. New dads can face real mental health challenges — often quietly. In this role, you’ll help dads feel listened to, supported and confident, strengthening attachment and helping them access the right support.

What you’ll be doing

• Offering coaching and advice to new dads and dads-to-be

• Having honest conversations about mental health, bonding and wellbeing

• Getting out into the community, approaching dads and building trust

• Developing and running group sessions and workshops

• Working closely with health professionals and local services so dads are included and supported

• Helping grow and support our Dad Matters volunteers

This is a hands-on, community-based role, so you’ll need to be regularly out and about in Brent, building visibility and relationships.

About you

You don’t need formal qualifications in healthcare or mental health. What matters is that you:

• Understand the mental health challenges new dads can face

• Are confident talking to people and putting them at ease

• Have experience in a community, support or people-facing role

• Can lead groups, deliver sessions or training

• Are proactive, approachable and genuinely care about supporting families

Parenting experience and lived experience of key issues are both really valued.

The Talent Set are partnering with a leading health charity to recruit a Prospect Research Manager to play a pivotal role in driving income growth across high-value fundraising. Sitting within a dynamic relationship development team, this role will be central to building robust pipelines and unlocking new opportunities across philanthropy and partnerships.
The successful candidate will lead on delivering high-quality, insight-led research to support fundraising strategy and decision-making. Working closely with senior stakeholders and philanthropy colleagues, they will help identify and prioritise prospects, inform cultivation strategies, and strengthen pipeline management.
This is a highly collaborative role, combining research expertise, stakeholder engagement and strategic influence.

Key duties include:

• Identify, research and profile high-value prospects across multiple income streams
• Deliver detailed briefings and insight to support senior leadership, trustees and fundraising teams
• Support and help lead portfolio and pipeline review processes
• Contribute to the development and delivery of prospect management strategy
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, influencing decision-making through insight
• Lead on research projects aligned to strategic priorities and high-value opportunities
• Ensure best practice in due diligence, GDPR and ethical fundraising
• Champion effective use of CRM systems to strengthen prospect tracking and reporting
• Monitor sector trends and identify new tools, approaches and opportunities to enhance research capability

About you:

• Proven experience in prospect research within a fundraising environment
• Strong track record of supporting high-value fundraising, including six-figure+ prospects
• Experience working in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent research, analytical and writing skills with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator, able to influence and engage senior stakeholders
• Strong understanding of CRM systems and prospect management processes
• Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing competing priorities
• Passionate about using insight to drive strategic fundraising growth
