As our Digital Operations Manager you will be an experienced professional who is passionate about digital strategy and transformation. You will have knowledge of the charity, education or religion and worldviews sector. You will join a small, friendly staff team. Our values lie at the heart of everything we do and are summed up in the principles of empowering others and collaborating purposefully. We are a remote working organisation, meeting regularly online for team meetings, and in-person at least once a month. Occasional travel to other in-person meetings on Trust business may be required as part of this role.

The role of the Young Carers Programme Manager is to lead on the delivery of our employability and aspirations programming for young adult carers, to support positive transitions from education into employment. The role works in partnership with our network of local carer organisation, employers and wider sector stakeholders, to deliver an engaging and diverse programme of opportunities for young adult careers to meet with employers, experience work environments, and broaden opportunities to access careers of choice.

Our ideal candidate:

• We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, regardless of the industry you've worked in.
• Skills such as project coordination, gained through professional roles, volunteering, or other responsibilities, will be highly valued.
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to speak engagingly in public to a range of audiences will be key.
• Knowledge and understanding of young carers issues would be beneficial, whether gained in a personal or professional capacity, such as policy and legislation affecting young carers, children, and young people generally.
• Familiarity of monitoring and evaluation processes.
• Competency in digital tools and social media which can be used to engage, promote activities and events for young people.
• Experience of delivering employability and/or skills development programmes would be beneficial.
• Demonstrated experience working with volunteers and coordinating volunteering programmes.

About Us: 

Kiran Support Services is a specialist South Asian organisation that provides refuge accommodation and outreach support to Asian women fleeing all forms of VAWG and harmful practises. Our services include refuge accommodation, resettlement and outreach support, advice and advocacy services, counselling and immigration advice, and casework support.

We are a small team dedicated to providing intersectional, culturally specific support to vulnerable women and their children through high-quality services delivered in Asian languages tailored to individual needs.

We are recruiting for a South Asian female Immigration Adviser (OISC level 3) / qualified solicitor, to support women in our refuges that have an insecure immigration status.

About You: 

You will be required to manage a complex caseload and will support securing the immigration status of service users in our refuges in the London Borough of Waltham Forest and the London Borough of Brent.

You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the legal field and in areas such as immigration law, family law, domestic violence and abuse, welfare benefits and housing, and providing legal advice and advocacy to South Asian/ BME women who have experienced domestic abuse.

You will have up-to-date working knowledge of Home Office policies relating to domestic abuse, including the Migration Victims of Domestic Abuse Concession (MVDAC).

Fluency in at least one South Asian language is essential (Urdu/ Punjabi preferred)
