About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Development, you will lead our public fundraising and supporter engagement activity, driving income growth across individual giving, community fundraising, events, challenges and supporter stewardship.

You will manage and motivate a talented team, ensuring delivery against ambitious income targets while continuing to build strong relationships with supporters, volunteers and stakeholders.

About the role

This is a hands-on role for an experienced organiser who will lead key aspects of our community organising practice. Development Manager (Fundraising & Partnerships)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer, working closely with the Programmes Lead and Finance & Governance Lead.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser ready to take the next step in their career and take ownership of fundraising within a growing charity.

As Worldwide Radiology's dedicated fundraising professional, you will lead our day-to-day fundraising activity across community fundraising, individual giving and trusts and foundations. The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

The Operations Assistant is a key support role within the Finance & People (F&P) team at Become. Working under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the postholder will provide practical, day-to-day administrative and operational support across HR, operations and – to a limited degree – finance administration.

This is an entry-level role suited to someone who is organised, reliable and keen to learn. The Operations Assistant will serve as a first point of contact for F&P enquiries from across the organisation, handling routine queries, supporting processes and escalating to senior team members where needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Fundraising and Resource mobilization  

• Develop a comprehensive multi-year development strategy, including developing related guidelines and policies and ensure IFIP secures annual revenue goals.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders and other donors, including foundations and other funders. 

• Responsible for the development, writing, and submission of compelling grant proposals. Manages full lifecycle of grants, from proposals to reports, ensuring fundraising goals are met annually. 

• Able to skillfully navigate donor relationships and the philanthropic landscape with nuance, big picture, and keen understanding of the shifting trends and perspectives.

• In coordination with senior leadership, organize, prepare and attend donor meetings and convenings in support of strategic initiatives.

Job purpose:

The Communications Co-ordinator will be responsible for the delivery of NACCOM’s communications strategy. About the role
We are recruiting for a Volunteering Partnerships and Implementation Manager to join on a part-time basis, working 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE) on a permanent contract. This is a home-based role with occasional travel required for in-person meetings.

Volunteers and volunteering are core to delivering the Alzheimer’s Society’s strategy and volunteers currently make up most of our workforce providing Help and Hope to those affected by dementia. As Volunteering Partnerships and Implementation Manager, you will lead a team of subject matter experts to build and maintain relationships and implement change across the Society.

You will lead the Partnerships and Implementation team, enabling them to be excellent collaborators that listen and supporting specific directorates to involve volunteers. Your team will work to understand and develop solutions, assisting in implementing improvements or change, and developing volunteer managers.

In this role you will also be a member of the wider Volunteering Management Team, contributing to future strategy and plans and leading workstreams and ongoing improvement of volunteering across the Society. About the role

We're looking for a Programme Development Officer with experience of supporting projects, programmes, events or organisational initiatives to join our Innovation, Policy & Systems Change Directorate.

This is an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of programmes and strategic initiatives that aim to improve outcomes for children and young people with cancer and their families. You'll help turn ideas into action by supporting the development, coordination and delivery of work across the directorate, working closely with colleagues, partners and stakeholders.

You'll play a key role in developing proposals, presentations and briefing materials, organising workshops and collaborative sessions, supporting new initiatives and funding opportunities, and ensuring projects stay organised and progress effectively. You'll be someone who enjoys bringing people together, building positive relationships and helping conversations translate into meaningful next steps.

We're looking for a proactive, organised and adaptable individual who is eager to learn and develop their career in areas such as research, learning, policy, systems change or innovation. You don't need experience across all these areas, but you'll be curious about how evidence, collaboration and practical action can create lasting change for young cancer patients and their families.

What will I be doing?

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider organisation, supporting a broad range of accounting and financial control activities. In this role, you will gain exposure to cashflow and treasury, balance sheet control, fixed assets, audit, VAT and tax, insurance, credit control and regulatory reporting.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Producing daily cash position reporting and supporting effective treasury and cashflow management.
• Completing bank reconciliations, investigating variances and ensuring transactions are accurately recorded.
• Supporting the preparation and maintenance of cashflow forecasts, including deposits and short-term investment balances.
• Supporting balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring balances are accurate, complete and appropriately evidenced.
• Assisting with fixed asset and lease accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, provisions and reconciliations.
• Maintaining accurate intercompany balances and resolving differences promptly.
• Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end audit, including working papers, audit requests and statutory disclosures.
• Preparing and supporting the submission of quarterly VAT returns and assisting with wider tax compliance requirements.
• Providing support across credit control and income processes, including monitoring aged debt and helping resolve queries.
• Contributing to continuous improvements across finance processes, systems and controls.

About you:

We are looking for someone with previous experience working within a finance or accounting environment, ideally with exposure to reconciliations, cashflow, month-end, audit or other operational finance processes.

You may be AAT qualified, approaching the final stages of ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or have equivalent experience. A good understanding of VAT and tax compliance is essential, while knowledge of financial controls, accounting standards and balance sheet accounting would be advantageous.

You will need:

• Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate, well-controlled work.
• Is confident reconciling and analysing financial information and investigating discrepancies.
• Can manage multiple priorities and work effectively to month-end and audit deadlines.

The Role

You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Payroll, Accounts Receivable and operational teams, providing both technical accounting expertise and practical support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of income accounting, accruals and adjustments, ensuring they are accurate, complete and compliant with relevant accounting standards.
• Driving the period close process for income and payroll-related areas, reviewing actuals, trends and exceptions and resolving issues promptly.
• Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, including deferred income and income provisions.
• Working closely with Payroll to ensure salary-related accruals and adjustments are accurately reflected within the accounts.
• Supporting budget holders and Finance colleagues with income and payroll queries, helping to identify root causes and reduce recurring issues.
• Providing cover and support around billing, income processing and cash collection, helping maintain resilient processes across the team.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, with a focus on getting things right first time and reducing manual entries at month and year-end.
• Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end audit, producing high-quality working papers and responding to auditor queries.

About you:

You will have a good understanding of income recognition, accruals, deferred income, provisions and payroll-related costs, alongside practical experience of balance sheet reconciliations and period close activities. Previous involvement in audit processes and preparing audit evidence or working papers will also be important.

Beyond your technical expertise, you will be proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to financial accuracy.

You will need:

• Studying towards or already hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA
• Experience across financial accounting, income accounting and/or month-end processes.
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of income recognition, accruals, deferred income, provisions and payroll-related costs
• Practical experience of balance sheet reconciliations and period close activities.

· Previous involvement in audit processes and preparing audit evidence or working papers will also be important.

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Confident using finance systems and excel.
