We are seeking a proactive and confident Governance Support Officer to join our busy Governance Team. Sitting at the heart of RBL’s corporate governance “engine room”, this role provides essential administrative, coordination and logistical support that enables our Boards, Committees and senior leaders to operate effectively.

Working closely with the team, you will manage the corporate calendar, coordinate meetings and events, and provide diary, travel and PA support to the Chief of Staff. The role is fast‑paced and highly collaborative, involving close working with Trustees, senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation, so strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are key.

Key Responsibilities

· Coordinate high-level meetings and events, including hybrid governance meetings, Board dinners, conferences, and away days, ensuring venues, technology, catering, and accessibility requirements are fully met.

· Provide comprehensive governance support, maintaining confidential records, managing trustee data, and supporting onboarding, induction, and ongoing development of Board members.

· Manage key communications channels, including the governance inbox, ensuring enquiries are triaged efficiently and governance information (biographies, intranet content, records) remains accurate and up to date.

· Oversee travel and logistics for senior stakeholders and Trustees, including diary coordination, travel bookings, and expense processing for meetings and wider organisational commitments.

The Active Recovery Project gives adult survivors of abuse the opportunity to take part in community-based activities. It provides a safe and supportive space for clients to participate in a variety of group activities with others who share or understand their experience and develop peer relationships, resulting in increasing confidence and reduced isolation.

The activities are based on ideas from our members and include water-based activities (such as rowing, canoeing, sailing and kayaking), surfing, trips to community spaces and creative sessions (such as arts and crafts). Activities take place every week. Each activity will last approximately 2.5 hours each. Members can attend the group sessions for up to 18 months.

Job Purpose:

The Practitioner role requires working as part of a small team and they will help prepare and deliver two Active Recovery sessions per week, in Bristol and Somerset. The Somerset group runs on a Tuesday and the Bristol group runs on a Wednesday. During the sessions, the Practitioner will be responsible for using a trauma-informed approach to support clients who become dysregulated or need emotional support.

Principal Tasks:

1. Together with the rest of the Active Recovery team, to provide initial trauma-informed assessment phone calls and/or meetings with potential members as part of the registration process for Active Recovery. This includes assessing need, risk and suitability for the service using a trauma-informed approach.
2. To support the Active Recovery Lead in creating safety plans and tailoring activity sessions where appropriate. These will be informed through relationships with members and the initial assessment phone calls.
3. Support the Active Recovery Lead in planning trauma-informed sessions for members.
4. Support the setting up, delivering and debriefing about activity sessions with members and volunteers. Ensuring members are clear on each session's ground rules and safeguarding processes, using the Member’s Agreement.
5. Provide trauma-informed face-to-face support to members at sessions who may become overwhelmed or require help dealing with flashbacks and dissociation.
6. To support volunteers with safeguarding queries and ensure safeguarding procedures are followed, including being the Safeguarding Lead at activity sessions if the Active Recovery Lead is not there and escalating any onward safeguarding referrals and queries to the Southmead Project Designated Safeguarding Lead.
7. Support the Active Recovery Lead with management of volunteers for the project.
8. Develop and maintain an Active Recovery community through email, phone calls, texts and in person.
9. Be the key person in ensuring that members have all the information and resources needed to get to the sessions - building a relationship of trust with members, using Spond, email, texts and calls, creating Canvas, figuring out transport logistics.
10. Support the project’s aim to have the members’ voices at the heart of the project.
11. Contribute to the development of outcome processes in line with the Southmead Project and its funders’ requirements.
12. Maintain positive relationships with partnership organisations for the project.
13. The Practitioner will not have budget responsibility but will ensure that their own personal expenses (mileage/parking) is within the budget for the project, keeping accurate records.
14. Record data accurately and in a timely manner on Oasis.
15. Attend monthly one-to-one line management meetings with the Head of Active Recovery.
16. To attend monthly one-to-one clinical supervision with a Supervisor who is approved by the Southmead Project. Supervision is a requirement of this charity as an organisational member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Overall job purpose

The post-holder will play a key role within the Initiatives and Partnerships team, working with regional teams to develop and implement proposals to expand use of historic churches in our existing estate and, on occasion, working with other heritage and community groups to deliver their own projects via consultancy or partnership work.

Reporting to the Digital Product Manager, you will play a central role in maintaining the Royal Hospital's digital presence - working closely with colleagues across the organisation to manage platforms in a way that reflects its standards and distinctive character.

What you’ll be doing

You will manage the Royal Hospital Chelsea website and its associated digital platforms, ensuring they remain accurate, accessible, and well maintained.

You will:

• Manage and maintain website content, structure and assets in Drupal
• Act as the first point of contact for website updates and internal requests
• Support digital platforms including ecommerce and ticketing systems
• Support the implementation and ongoing administration of a Digital Asset Management System, ensuring assets are well organised, tagged and used consistently across the organisation
• Monitor website performance using Google Analytics and Tag Manager, supporting campaign tracking, reporting and SEO performance. Experience with Google Ads would be an advantage.
• Coordinate with external suppliers to deliver updates and improvements
• Ensure digital platforms remain compliant with accessibility standards, GDPR and organisational governance requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Has hands-on experience managing websites in Drupal or a comparable CMS
• Is technically confident, proactively identifies issues and opportunities, and knows when to resolve them independently and when to escalate
• Is organised and methodical, able to manage multiple priorities
• Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Takes ownership of day-to-day platform operation, maintaining high standards consistently over time
• Is comfortable working within a structured, heritage-led organisation

It would be desirable if you also have:

• HTML and CSS knowledge
• Experience with ecommerce, ticketing or other transactional platforms
• Prior experience working with a Digital Asset Management System
• Familiarity with Google Ads Manager
• Familiarity with Linux-based or self-hosted web environments, or experience working alongside developers in open-source or managed hosting contexts
• Experience in a charity, public sector or heritage environment

In this role you'll play a key part in supporting the Finance team to make sure all of our financial information and processes runs smoothly and are up to date. 

You'll be responsible for liaising with our service delivery staff, performing tasks such as processing invoices and other financial expenditure documents, inputting and updating financial transactions within Quickbooks, and processing all of our fundraising and other income. 

A key part of your role will be ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately in liaison with our services, so you will build good relationships with all the services we provide. 

You will ideally have an accounting qualification at level 3 (e.g. AAT/ACCA) or equivalent education or be qualified by experience. You will have a key eye for detail, and be able to independently manage multiple streams of work.

Essential Qualifications

AAT level 3 OR 3 years’ experience in similar function OR degree in numerate or business-related subject OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Numerate and able to work with numbers with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Experience of working in a finance/ accounting environment requiring accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience as a competent, frequent user of MS Excel for finance purposes
• Experience of ability to manage your own workload, working closely with colleagues
• Demonstrates problem-solving skills

Practical Skills 

• Experience in using software packages to an intermediate level: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Quickbooks (or similar accounting software or finance system)
• Able/willing to learn to use a range of video conferencing platforms
• Demonstrates ability to juggle a busy workload with competing priorities

The Role

The Research Policy and Partnerships Officer monitors UK research policy and governance developments, synthesises evidence and supports preparation of clear internal briefings, policy statements and consultation responses.

Reporting to the Research Policy and Partnerships Manager, the role helps ensure the Association’s research portfolio and the Research Academy remain well aligned to national frameworks and governance standards, and that lived experience is appropriately reflected in system facing outputs.

The role also supports the Research Policy and Partnerships Manager in building and maintain partnerships with research funders, medical research charities, academic institutions and health system leaders.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Conduct structured horizon scanning across NIHR, UKRI, REF, AMRC guidance and other charity funders to identify opportunities.
• Maintain a stakeholder and policy activity map; coordinate inputs for meetings with key partners, funders/sector bodies.
• Collate and integrate lived experience evidence in policy work (with Involvement colleagues).
• Support partnerships with research funders, medical research charities, academic institutions and health system leaders, coordinating meetings, shared resources and monitoring commitments and agreements

About You

You will:

• Be educated to degree level in a science, health, social science or related discipline
• Have experience of collaborative working with senior internal and external stakeholders, supporting partnership building in research, clinical and/or voluntary sectors
