Role Responsibilities
Delivery of the Spear Programme – Group and 1:1 coaching
- Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
- Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture and attitudes in the training room.
- Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.
Delivery of Spear Career
- Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.
Training the Assistant Coach
- Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.
Trainee Recruitment
- Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.
Person Specification
- An active Christian, dedicated to representing the values and ethos of Spear and HTB St Francis Community Church.
- You have demonstrable experience as a coach, or a background in youth work or teaching, and are keen to develop these skills further.
- You have a heart for young people and releasing their potential, no matter what challenging circumstances they are facing.
- Effective interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence with a sense of humour and fun.

- Lead all digital communications, including website, social media and online campaigns
- Manage and create content for the website, overseeing written, visual and video

- Develop and maintain a compelling library of supporter stories (written, film and imagery), ensuring appropriate permissions and coverage across key research areas

- Work closely with the fundraising team to optimise digital communications

About the Senior Communications Lead
The Senior Communications Lead is a senior, hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Executive Lead, and responsible for shaping and delivering BBA’s cross-channel communications strategy. Working closely with the Executive Lead and team, you will drive increased awareness and understanding of baby banks, ensuring communications actively enable BBA’s wider goals around funding, partnerships and sector influence.
Average UK awareness of baby banks currently sits at around 33%. Building on successful national partnerships (including IKEA and ITV’s Lorraine), this role will take BBA’s profile to the next level, embedding baby bank experiences and voices at the heart of everything we do.
As a co-incubated organisation, developed with and for baby banks, strong experience of effective collaboration and understanding of the issues that baby banks are addressing, and facing themselves, is fundamental.
You will oversee all communications activity across BBA, line manage the Communications Manager and task manage the Communications and Projects Officer, and build a small but high-impact communications function from the ground up within a resource-constrained, fast-moving organisation. - Develop and deliver a clear, ambitious communications strategy aligned to BBA’s organisational OKRs, and with the experiences of baby banks at its heart

What the job involves
Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a wide range of activities, events and challenge events. As Senior Community Fundraising Executive, you’ll be a key member of our sector-leading team, raising over £5 million each year from individuals organising their own fundraising events and local-level corporate partnerships.
You’ll work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager to identify, test and develop new opportunities across our community fundraising programme, supporting our ambitious five-year strategy and growth plans. You’ll project manage mass-market fundraising campaigns to recruit, convert and inspire community fundraisers, working in partnership with colleagues and external agencies to brief, plan, deliver and evaluate paid marketing activity.

The Communications Officer plays a significant role in the support of the delivery of AmplifyChange’s communications strategy. They are key to ensuring that AmplifyChange’s key messages and brand are effectively implemented across all of our communications channels. The Communications Officer will report to and work closely with the Communications Manager and in partnership with other teams to support content development for multiple platforms (AmplifyChange’s main website and AmplifyChange Learn, in particular), social media management, and linking and learning opportunities.

Job Description
The Listening Place (TLP) is an award-winning charity providing face-to-face, compassionate and non-judgemental support for people who feel that life is no longer worth living. Since opening our first site in Pimlico in 2016, we have grown to four sites and our service is delivered by over 850 active volunteers.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, dedicated team and play a vital role in helping TLP to grow and support more people struggling with suicidal feelings. You will manage two key growth areas in fundraising: community and corporate. By crafting exciting partnership proposals and delivering high-quality events, you will help TLP build on its fundraising success in these areas. Scope and purpose
The Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager will be the second most senior position in the fundraising team and will lead on the development of TLP’s community and corporate fundraising streams. Duties and responsibilities
- Deliver the continued growth of corporate and community fundraising at TLP (combined £475k target in 2026/27) in line with investment in this area to help ease the pressure on major donor and trust fundraising.
- Generate new corporate and community fundraising leads by mapping TLP’s volunteer and supporter networks as well as exploring cold leads which align with TLP’s mission and vision.
- Develop engaging, inspiring materials to help secure new corporate leads including presentations, brochures and video.

- Work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to forecast income in community and corporate fundraising as well as setting budgets that enable us to deliver on ambitious targets whilst still delivering a competitive return on investment.
- Establish effective relationships across the staff and volunteer network which creates a culture that supports fundraising within TLP whilst also enabling volunteers to focus on TLP’s core mission and vision.
- Build a dependable, detail-oriented team to support the administrative management of corporate, community and individual giving at The Listening Place whilst encouraging their development as TLP fundraisers in their own right.
- Undertake any other duties as requested by line management and in line with business needs

Essential requirements
- Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills able to translate TLP’s model into compelling materials and pitches.
- Strong interpersonal skills - a relationship builder with a flexible, entrepreneurial approach, the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with donors, volunteers and internal stakeholders.
- Highly organised - excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritise own workload and multi task to meet targets and deliver events.
- Good understanding of event management including problem solving skills and an ability to adapt quickly when encountering obstacles.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to identify trends, plan ahead and build clear plans based on data.
- Computer literate - familiar with common Office programmes and fundraising databases.
- Clear understanding of and ability to apply the legislation affecting corporate and community fundraising.
Desirable
- Successful track record of delivering community fundraising programmes and activities.
- Fundraising / marketing qualification.
- Experience of managing volunteers.
- Knowledge and appreciation of mental health issues/suicide prevention in the UK.
