Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of households owed the main housing duty, supporting them into settled accommodation
• Develop and maintain Personalised Housing Plans to help prevent and relieve homelessness
• Provide housing advice across a range of options including private rented sector, social housing, and supported accommodation
• Work closely with landlords and partners to secure accommodation and remove barriers (e.g. rent arrears, affordability issues)
• Carry out assessments, interviews, and home visits where required
• Ensure decisions are made in line with Housing Act 1996 (Part VII) and the Homelessness Code of Guidance
• Maintain accurate records and meet performance targets
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies

Requirements:

• Recent, relevant experience working in a housing or homelessness-focused role
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation (Housing Act 1996 Part VII, Homelessness Code of Guidance, etc.) 
• Experience using a range of housing options (private/social, DHPs, landlord schemes, etc.) 
• High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities and caseloads
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
• Collaborative, proactive, and empathetic approach

About the Role

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will provide pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, providing individual safety planning, trauma-informed support, guidance, information, and advocacy and enabling victim/survivors to access the services they need in the aftermath of the abuse and trauma they have experienced.

You may work within a Hospital Trust's Safeguarding Team to support both patients and staff in an Acute Hospital setting, who have experienced Domestic Abuse. You will make initial contact with victims of domestic abuse, explaining our services and assessing the impact of crime, or receive referrals from colleagues, in order to provide on-going support and case management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess risks and needs using evidence-based checklists.
• Focus on high-risk cases with short to medium-term crisis intervention.
• Assist high-risk victims in accessing safety services.
• Deliver tailored support and information.
• Understand legal frameworks for protecting children and vulnerable adults.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The IT team supports the Hospice by delivering reliable, responsive technical services to staff, our retail shops, and the systems that help care for patients. In a small hospice environment, this role works closely with the on‑site Head of IT and Systems and is a key, visible part of day‑to‑day service delivery.

The IT support technician will play an important role in providing hands‑on technical support and helping to maintain the hospice’s IT infrastructure. This includes supporting clinical and administrative systems, resolving technical issues, and assisting with small projects and improvement activities.

You will be responsible for:

· Providing technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.

As a Caseworker you will be: -

• Effectively manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, delivering excellent services which support service goals to victims. Where relevant to undertake initial proactive contact with victims, explaining VS services and promoting the benefits of accessing support.
• Ensuring each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.

As an Adult Carers Support Worker, you will be part of a small, dedicated team and take a lead on providing emotional support to adult carers and a commitment to enhancing their health and wellbeing. Much of your work will involve actively listening to carers, often via the phone support line, providing information, advice and support. As part of the Adult Carers Support Team, you will also be involved in organising breaks for carers, outreach activities and leisure events, as well as group work to help enhance carers’ health and wellbeing. Role Purpose

To lead on day-to-day delivery of the advice centre provision at the Students’ Union and line manage front facing student staff at the information point. The role primarily involves the delivery of a high-quality impartial, independent, advice service to individual student members of the Students’ Union, through information, advice, guidance, signposting and referrals and working with the Head of Student-Led Change and Advice on expanding advice provision. The role-holder will also be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation as well as the university to identify and recommend solutions to issues and concerns affecting the wider student body to improve the student experience.

Main Responsibilities and Activities

• Develop the advice centre provision ensuring it delivers a service that is appropriate for the needs of University of Salford students.
• Work to maintain and develop the skills and knowledge levels within the student-staff team, through upskilling and training where necessary.
• Assist in the development of evidence-led approaches to understand student priorities and collaborate with the Student-Led Change Lead where trends indicate that collective student action is needed.
• Line management of Student Staff, including Student Advisor and Information Point staff.
• Provide leadership and direction to student staff, ensuring they are supported to provide excellent service delivery.
• Embed a coaching culture within the student staff team to empower staff to thrive.
• To lead on day-to-day delivery of the advice centre provision and work alongside the Head of Student-Led Change and Advice to expand the service where desired.

About the role

This role involves working with teams across Crisis to generate data and insights that build understanding, drive decision-making, and showcase our work. Drawing on various homelessness databases, you will provide vital insights for Policy & Social Change, Client Services, and Brand, Marketing and Fundraising.

As part of the Research & Evaluation team, you will contribute to bold research and analysis that highlights the causes of and solutions to homelessness, to inform our policy influencing and media work and drive forward Crisis’ strategy for ending homelessness. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caseworker to join our Domestic Abuse team based at our office in Southampton. This role is fully office based and regular travel throughout Hampshire will be required.

About the Role

As a Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to them explaining our services, and assessing the impact of crime. Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users.

As a Caseworker you will:

• Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
• Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information.
• Identify barriers to accessing services & work with partners to provide ongoing support.
• Keep accurate & confidential case records on a bespoke case management system
• Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse, delivering immediate support.
• Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by crime who accept ongoing support
• Liaise and actively engage with other local providers to share information on the VS service offer
• Work as part of a team with staff and the volunteer team to provide a seamless service to clients

About You

You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims & experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk & needs assessments would be beneficial.

You will need:

• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Strong IT skills, including the ability to navigate and utilise bespoke case management systems effectively and an ability to use Microsoft Office applications to a high standard
• Good organisational & time management skills, able to manage competing needs and priorities.
