We exist to change the odds stacked against Black people by embedding race equity into systemic change so that thriving is not the exception but the norm.

Global Black Thrive evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016 to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people in Lambeth. Black people’s cumulative exposure to negative experiences and poor outcomes are not unique to Lambeth and Black Thrive Global was founded in 2020 to address the detrimental outcomes for Black people of African and Caribbean descent wherever they may be located.

Our work covers all life stages – children and young people, working age adults and older adults. Our guiding principle is to centre the lived experiences of Black communities in all that we do, and our strategic priorities are to embed race equity in systems change and to decolonise the evidence landscape.

Role Description

Black Thrive are looking for a motivated Project Coordinator to join the Thriving Futures team. This role will be dedicated to support the organisational workstreams to deliver engaging programmes to Black communities both regionally and nationally.

Project and relationship management skills and experience are key in this role and requires knowledge or experience working in a projects/programme coordination environment. We’re looking for someone who has excellent administrative and stakeholder management skills, as much of this role will be leading on overseeing the delivery of the programme with external stakeholders (up to senior level), who are driving delivery both locally and strategically.

You will be supporting the Thriving Futures Partnerships and Programme Manager, to monitor and deliver the objectives of the project. This will be a combination of design, delivery, analysis, evaluation and report writing; to help us tell the story of our progress along the way.

Black Thrive uses a work systems application and Microsoft Excel to efficiently track and achieve the strategic objectives of the Thriving Futures - Scaling Systems Change programme.

• Relationship management with project leads and teams across London, Birmingham, Scotland, and Wales, encouraging strong collaboration, best practice and communication.
• Provide tailored one-to-one support in facilitating monthly face to face team and hybrid meetings to resolve challenges and co-develop practical solutions. 
• Monitor project delivery across workstreams to ensure deliverables are achieved on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Track and manage changes, risks, and issues, maintaining up-to-date logs and dashboards to support effective decision-making.
• Budget monitoring, escalating discrepancies and coordinate financial processes, including requesting invoices.
• Collect, analyse, and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to produce accurate reports that demonstrate programme impact to funders.
• Maintain and update Black Thrive’s project management system to ensure efficient and transparent delivery of the Thriving Futures workstream.
• Organising, cofacilitating cross-functional meetings and events, including Thriving Futures Collective meetings, bringing stakeholders together to drive progress.
• Manage associated administration such as diary coordination, agenda preparation, presentation design, minute-taking, and action tracking.
• Oversee the communications calendar, filter content requests, and draft compelling internal and external communications drafts to promote Thriving Futures activities.
• Provide on the ground backbone support to localities through one-to-one guidance and in-person visits, strengthening programme delivery.
• Represent the programme at key engagement events; including community assemblies and workshops that may occur outside core working hours.
• Contribute flexibly to cross-functional delivery activities across localities as required.
• Collaborate with the Black Thrive Global HR & Admin Manager and the Operations team on broader team initiatives as needed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies, including equality, safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, and financial governance.

Personal Specification

Essential

• 1-2 years’ experience in project coordination and administration within an organisation managing multiple and/or complex programmes and partnerships.
• Experience in project management and/or project coordination with track records of monitoring, tracking risks, compliance and self driving small projects.
• Experience in diary management, facilitating project meetings, and creating action plans.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in stakeholder management across varying levels of seniority.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint (or equivalent systems).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt complex information for diverse audiences.
• Requirement to occasionally travel to visit localities and attending events locally across London and nationally. 
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders from different professional backgrounds.
• Commitment to equality and inclusion, with a solid understanding of the experiences of Black people of African and Caribbean descent and a strong drive to address systemic barriers impacting health and wellbeing.

What will you be doing?

• Collaborate with colleagues on a coordinated programme of CPD for key cohorts, maximising the use of resources with different groups and minimising any duplication of effort across the team.

Job description

Stella Maris is the official maritime charity of the Catholic Church.  We are looking for a Regional Port Chaplain for the East Englia Ports to support seafarers, fishers and their families.

In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.

About the role

No two days are the same.  You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.

You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities.  You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Visit ships regularly to meet seafarers and fishers, responding to their pastoral, practical and spiritual needs.
• Provide practical help such as transport, communication access, and emergency or crisis support.
• Offer spiritual care to Catholic seafarers and facilitate the religious needs of those from other faiths.
• Recruit, train and support Stella Maris volunteers.
• Work collaboratively with other maritime charities.
• Maintain strong relationships with local parishes, the Diocese of East Anglia, and port stakeholders such as the Harbour Master, shipping agents and welfare committees.
• Support local fundraising and awareness initiatives alongside the charity's national team.

About you

You'll be someone who takes joy in helping others.  You don't need maritime experiences, what matters most is your empathy and ability to offer pastoral support in practical ways.

You may come from a background in chaplaincy, parish ministry, community work or social care.  You'll share our commitment to upholding the dignity of every seafarer and fisher.

Chief Officer

Citizens Advice Woking (CAW) provides free, independent, and confidential advice and information to the residents of Woking, and anyone who works in the Borough, particularly the most vulnerable, to help with the problems they face.  We are the only organisation locally that can and does address client issues holistically, across areas such as debt, housing and welfare benefits, not just single issues, and this is increasingly important as client problems become more complex.

We are looking for a Senior Manager who will bring both innovation and experience to lead a valued local charity.

Reporting to the Chair of the Trustee Board, the Chief Officer

• Is responsible to the Trustee Board for the management and leadership of Citizens Advice Woking,
• Represents Citizens Advice Woking to funders, partners and stakeholders,
• Ensures the delivery of a high quality, impartial and confidential service, utilising both paid staff and volunteers,
• Is responsible for the continuing funding, planning and financial management of the service,
• Represents the organisation in Woking and contributes to the overall provision of strategic advice services in the borough.

In particular, the priorities for the Chief Officer in 2026/27 will be to:

• Manage CAW’s external relationships with our funders and the Woking community generally, to ensure satisfaction with the delivery of current projects, and their continuation,
• Collaborate closely with the other Surrey LCA Chief Officers to respond to the changing funding landscape. In parallel, continue to identify and deliver local projects for local funders,
• Ensure that suitable alternative premises are secured, and the transition is managed as smoothly as possible,
• Ensure the staff and volunteers are enabled to work effectively, particularly during this period of disruption,

The Chief Officer has an important leadership role, working closely with the Operations Manager, who has line responsibility for the staff and, generally, the internal CAW operation.  The volunteers are managed on a day-to-day basis by the Advice Session Supervisors, who are critical to ensuring the quality of advice to clients, and the smooth running of the office.

We’re looking for someone to fulfil a wide range of duties working alongside the other Administrative Assistant and volunteers in support of the Office Manager to provide coordinated administration across the Cathedral team. In addition, the post holder will support the Chief Operating Officer in tasks related to the management of the residential let properties located in Old Portsmouth. This includes coordinating property checks, arranging basic repairs and maintenance, supporting lettings activity, and carrying out viewings when properties are vacant. The property portfolio includes flats accessed by stairs only and will require the post holder to visit the flats in accordance with our lone working policy..

The Role

The Careers Adviser will travel across Kent, Medway, West Kent and Mid Kent Regions to a broad range of school and college settings, delivering creative and inclusive Personal Careers Guidance, as well as assemblies and drop-in sessions as required. 

Each student and each learning environment will be unique, so the opportunity lends itself well to candidates who enjoy traveling and working in varied locations, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and educating people of all abilities.

You will routinely liaise with Careers Leaders and senior school/ college staff to arrange and deliver activities for students during the school day. Whilst most delivery will take place between 8:30am and 4pm, travel before and after these times will be required and occasional attendance at parents’ and options evenings will also be required, but you will be given time off in lieu where this is applicable.

We would require you to work five days-a-week, term time only, with a pro rata holiday entitlement. If you would prefer part-time only employment (minimum of three days a week), this can be negotiated.
