We are looking for a communications officer on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover an internal secondment within our team. You will be an enthusiastic, creative individual who wants to pursue a career in communications. You will be excited by the prospect of improving and maximising our communications impact. 

You may be in the earlier stages of developing your career in communications and will be keen to learn, develop and hone a wide range of skills in digital communications, media, events management and publication production. Interest in and understanding of environmental policy and politics would be an asset. 

You will need excellent interpersonal skills as you will regularly liaise with our staff and support them in communicating their work.

About the role:

Too many women are lost in the gap between being offered accommodation and feeling safe enough to accept it, trust it and stay. As our new Assertive Outreach and Transitions Worker, you’ll stand alongside women at this critical point, making sure a move away from rough sleeping feels possible, supported and led by their choices.

Working across the streets, community settings and our Women’s Recovery Service, you’ll begin building relationships with women before they move in. You’ll carry out flexible, trauma-informed assessments, help remove barriers to accommodation and provide steady, practical support throughout the transition into the service.

You’ll also hold a small caseload of women who need a more flexible or assertive approach to remain connected, use their bedspace and sustain their accommodation. Whether you’re advocating for access to health or domestic abuse support, responding to safeguarding concerns or bringing partners together around a woman, you’ll balance safety with dignity, choice and voice.

This is a brand new role with real scope to shape how we support women across the Camden Homeless Pathway. Your persistence, creativity and belief in women’s capacity for change will help prevent avoidable evictions, reduce repeat rough sleeping and give women a stronger foundation from which to recover and move forward. At Single Homeless Project (SHP), you’ll be supported through regular supervision, reflective practice and ongoing learning, with opportunities to deepen your knowledge of trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches and develop your career within our services.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML) to join our AI Platform team.

Oak's AI Platform team builds and maintains our core AI infrastructure, including shared services, prompt libraries and reusable pipelines. This is essential in enabling our product squads to deliver safe, effective and scalable AI features that support teachers and pupils across the UK.

You'll take a leading role in shaping Oak's AI Platform, contributing towards the technical direction for reliable, safe and scalable AI capabilities. You'll work with product squads to turn ambiguous problems into robust solutions, provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, and help establish the patterns, tooling and standards that enable responsible AI delivery across Oak.

You'll work across the boundary between machine learning and software engineering: taking the same ownership of production reliability, testing and developer experience as other senior engineers on the team, while keeping safety and responsible AI at the centre of what you build.

In this role, you may work on:

• Enhancing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including context chunking, prompt construction and implementing strategies to improve relevance and accuracy.

Role Summary

Role Description

The Senior Fundraising Manager will play a key strategic role in supporting the mission and ministry of St Edmundsbury Cathedral by developing and delivering a diverse range of fundraising activities, with a particular focus on Trusts and Foundations, major funding opportunities, donor stewardship and the growth of sustainable income.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, the role will identify and develop new funding opportunities, build strong relationships with Trusts and Foundations, and lead the preparation and submission of high-quality funding applications and reports. The postholder will also oversee the Cathedral’s Patron and donor relationships, legacy and regular giving activity, and provide strategic oversight of major fundraising events and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Legacy and Appeals

Young black people disproportionately report inequality, racism and discrimination on a routine basis. Many ACH children, young people and families are succeeding in Hackney, however young people from ethnic minority communities are over-represented in terms of child protection plans, looked after children and school exclusions and inequalities in health. Our Growing Minds Service provides practical, emotional and mental health wellbeing support to children and young people aged 11-25 from African and Caribbean Heritage (ACH) communities; focusing on two key transition points in their lives (primary to secondary school and childhood to adulthood). The service is designed to increase the capacity of ACH communities to harness potential, identify and support children and young people’s mental health needs, and to establish a clear pathway into direct support.

We are seeking candidates from African and Caribbean Heritage in order to reach out to children, young people and young adults in these communities. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies. 

Main responsibilities

As a therapist you will be responsible for undertaking assessments, delivering 1-1, time limited, outcome focussed sessions with young people for up to 24 weeks (depending on their assessment evaluation) and evaluating therapeutic interventions for young people. You will also undertake associated case management and administrative work.  You will be required to offer evening sessions until 8pm at least one evening a week (on Monday or Thursday) as part of your working hours and there is also the potential to develop and facilitate group work.

As a Psychotherapist/ Creative Art Psychotherapist/Counsellor with relevant post qualification practice you will work collaboratively community organisations/CAMHS and other partners to reduce barriers to mental health support to children, young people and young adults from the ACH community. Real change rarely happens in a straight line. At our Ashley Road project, you’ll work alongside people who have experienced homelessness, trauma and multiple disadvantage, offering the consistency, practical support and belief that can help them begin moving forward.

You’ll be there when situations become challenging, responding calmly to risk, safeguarding concerns and periods of crisis while continuing to recognise each person’s strengths and potential. This is a hands-on and varied role where no two days will look the same. This role supports the Activities Team to proactively support and empower student-led activities, as well as championing a diverse range of student-led interests that enable development, participation and belonging.

You’ll be one of the key staff contacts supporting over 300 student-led societies. Providing support in volunteer management such as recruitment, induction, training, reward and recognition. Ensuring student group activity runs safely, as well as supporting the strategic development of the groups, ensuring as many students as possible have access to diverse, engaging and positive extra-curricular experiences.

About Kidney Care UK

There are 7.2 million people with some form of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in the UK, equivalent to 1 in 10 people. There are one million people in the UK who have CKD but are not aware of it.

Since 1975, Kidney Care UK has been at the forefront of supporting people with kidney disease. From our early days when we campaigned to introduce donor cards in the UK, we have worked hard to support and represent the interests of everyone affected by kidney disease.

About the role

The Community Fundraising Assistant will provide administrative, fundraising and event support to the Events and Community team, helping to deliver excellent stewardship to community supporters and ensure the smooth running of fundraising activities and events. The postholder will support communications, data management, supporter engagement, fulfilment of fundraising materials, event delivery and lead a specific research project to help inform future fundraising activity.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter communications and engagement

• Assist with incoming and outgoing communications via telephone, email, post and social media as required.
• Respond to enquiries from community fundraisers and supporters, providing excellent customer service and timely information.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community supporters, fundraisers and volunteers.
• Support stewardship activity, including thank-you communications, recognition initiatives, supporter updates and follow-up.
• Support the creation and distribution of supporter communications and fundraising materials.
• Act as a positive ambassador for the organisation when engaging with supporters.

Fundraising materials and administration

• Prepare, pack and post fundraising materials, resources and supporter packs.
• Monitor stock levels of fundraising materials and assist with reordering when required.
• Provide general administrative support to the fundraising team.
• Assist in the coordination and distribution of campaign and event materials.

Data management

• Accurately record and update supporter information on the organisation's CRM or database.
• Assist with maintaining data quality and ensuring records are accurate and compliant with relevant data protection requirements.
• Support reporting and information gathering as required by the team.

Research project

• Take the lead on a designated research project to identify potential fundraising opportunities, trends, partnerships, or community engagement initiatives.
• Gather, analyse and present findings to the fundraising team.
• Produce recommendations to support future fundraising strategies and activities.
• Manage the project timeline and provide regular updates on progress.

Events support

• Provide administrative and practical support for fundraising and community events as required.
• Support attendee communications and volunteer coordination where necessary.
• Undertake other event-related duties to support the wider Fundraising team during busy periods.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confidence in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with supporters and colleagues.
• Experience of data entry and maintaining accurate records.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience is a similiar role is highly desirable, as is experience with CRM systems, fundraising platforms, or the charity sector.
