Overall Purpose
The role’s focus is on helping steward relationships, deliver first class engagement opportunities and support the development and delivery of partnerships with high-value supporters, including Corporate, Philanthropists and Charitable Trusts.
You will play an essential part in our plans to grow our mission through delivering the income enable our work, and through increasing funding to our NHS Charity members.
Overall objectives
The role will work flexibly in support of the work of the Development team, in particular working in support of the Partnership & Philanthropy Manager and Fundraising Executives.
The postholder will play a key role in:
- Delivery of income for NHS Charities Together and our members, working closely with colleagues across our development team and wider organisation to devise and deliver fundraising strategies at a local level.
- Creating surprise and delight engagement opportunities that will help to maintain and grow relationships and income across the partnership and philanthropy portfolio.
- Supporting development team colleagues to maintain effective relationships with our portfolio of partnerships.
- Supporting wider fundraising activities across the team
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The main duties and responsibilities of the role holder are as outlined below:
Strategic Partnerships and Philanthropy:
- Support the creation and delivery of effective fundraising within our key strategic partnerships, working with and through our network of over 200 members. This includes some established national multi-year corporate relationships.
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of strategic communications between partners and members, working closely with the colleagues within NHS Charities Together.
- Support and facilitate the creation and delivery of volunteering opportunities for partners on both a national and local level, working closely with NHS charity members and wider NHS Charities Together staff.
- Support in the coordination of national and local partnership activities during peak moments in our calendar and employee engagement campaigns.
Cultivation & Stewardship:
- Work with the Development Team to devise and deliver programmes of engagement for major corporate donors.
- Support in the creation of partnership reports, newsletters and regular updates.
- Provide support to the wider Development team at moments of peak activity, including supporting events and other campaigns
Relationship Management:
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with partners, donors and members in our database & CRM systems (Raiser’s Edge, Beacon), working in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations)
- Support the development of stewardship plans to recognise and retain partners and donors.
- Maintain close working relationships with members of the team across the organisation to support the delivery of our fundraising plans
- Maintain important relationships with external stakeholders including corporate partners, stakeholders and NHS charity members.
Other Duties
- Maintain and develop knowledge of fundraising trends and innovations especially within the corporate and philanthropy fundraising market.
- Work closely with internal teams to understand the work of the charity and how we can bring this to life in creative ways for our supporters.

About the Role

About the Role
The Agreements Unit Section Assistant will be responsible for processing of ITF Agreement applications, monitoring consultations, assembling and verifying evidence in support of beneficial ownership; representing the ITF to ship-owners, affiliates and inspectors in connection with agreement processes and related matters; responsible for identifying source of cash receipts relating to Welfare Fund, including unallocated cash receipts and membership fees and preparing special agreements and related documentation.
The Assistant will work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve ITF Agreements and other issues; secure the active interests of ITF’s aims and objectives and provide narrative reports for relevant decision-making bodies including constitutional and non-constitutional entities within ITF structures.
About the You
A professional, with Maritime background and trade union experience are desirable. Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel at intermediate level; broad experience in general administration and data inputting as well as knowledge of and experience working on database such as Microsoft CRM. High level communication skills, both verbally and in writing are key requirements, plus a proven ability to develop positive relationships with organisations and individuals across diverse cultures. Due to the nature of the organisation and the role, speaking a second language would be an advantage.

What you will be doing
In this mobile role, you will travel between supported housing sites across Crawley and Horsham throughout the night, ensuring each service remains safe, secure and welcoming. You will carry out routine checks of unstaffed properties—including communal areas, gardens and external spaces—to ensure they are quiet, well‑maintained and compliant with health and safety standards.
You will provide responsive assistance to residents who may need help, and act quickly when concerns arise. You will respond to calls from the on‑call manager and attend sites where an incident, accident or potential risk has been reported, completing thorough checks and taking appropriate action.
When required, you will work alongside the on‑site Night Workers at Crawley Foyer and Horsham Y Centre, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment. This will include monitoring CCTV, completing building checks and keeping accurate records of night‑time activity. You will also take a proactive approach to preventing anti‑social behaviour, work closely with support staff, and carry out one‑to‑one interventions with young people who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or require medical assistance.
This role involves lone working, so you will need to be confident in decision‑making and in following procedures. However, before joining the rota, you will have the opportunity to get to know the team and services, take part in a full induction, complete the required training, and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident, supported, and well prepared.

Key Responsibilities
Intensive Casework Support
- Provide structured 1:1 support to women with complex needs.
- Develop collaborative support plans with clear goals and review points.
