ABOUT THE ROLE

The Kids Network are seeking a Community Fundraising Officer to join our small, successful team to help take our community fundraising to the next level, as we grow to deliver life-changing mentoring for more Little Londoners. This role will oversee our growing Community Fundraising programme, building on the processes, engagement and successes we’ve nurtured over two years, keeping our wonderful supporters motivated, committed and happy, while increasing the income they raise.

As our Community Fundraising Officer, you will be the first point of contact for supporters taking on challenge events and raising money for TKN in the community. You will ensure our different supporters have a fantastic experience at every step, and feel committed to supporting the charity’s work and furthering our impact for Little Londoners. Working closely with our two other fundraisers, you will learn about all aspects of fundraising, and support the team with maintaining meticulous records, delivering strong supporter stewardship, and writing lower-level funding applications and reports.

This role supports The Kids Network by securing the income and public support required to deliver and scale our transformative mentoring programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

COMMUNITY AND INDIVIDUAL GIVING FUNDRAISING

· Oversee onboarding and stewardship journeys for event fundraisers

· Recruit and support people fundraising in their community (schools, businesses, faith groups, etc)

· Maintain our Community Fundraising platforms and keep event listings up-to-date

· Maintain meticulous donation and supporter records on Salesforce and liaise with Finance team

· Oversee administration and stewardship for Friends of TKN supporters club, and developing offer for committed supporters

TRUST FUNDRAISING

· Collate information for, proofread and write lower level funding applications and reports

· Maintain supporter records on Salesforce (reporting schedules, receipting and recognition)

· Support team with researching and identifying Trust prospects

GENERAL

· Work closely with our Marketing Team to deliver consistent, persuasive fundraising messages in our social media posts and newsletters, as well as maintain up-to-date website content

· Maintain our Case For Support, ensuring it’s up-to-date and compelling to attract partners and donors

· Support general stewardship with supporters, funders and corporate partners

Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and Head of Philanthropy, you will support a range of fundraising activities, most predominantly researching new avenues for funding within trusts, foundations and corporate partners, completing grant applications, carrying out communications and reporting to existing funders and raising the profile of the charity through representing Action Tutoring at funder or networking events. • Research new opportunities for Action Tutoring to explore for fundraising and carry out initial enquiries to determine suitability to apply to trusts and foundations.

We are seeking a Peer Mentoring Coordinator to develop and manage our new LGBTQ+ Peer Mentoring Programme, training and supporting Project Indigo members to become mentors in the local community.

Project Indigo is the LGBTQ+ youth service based at Off Centre at Family Action. It is open to anyone aged 16-25 who identifies as LGBTQ+ or is exploring their sexuality or gender identity. Our weekly youth group is a safe, supportive space for LGBTQ+ young people to meet each other and participate in workshops and activities. In addition to the youth group, Project Indigo offers 1-to-1 support and advice sessions with the Project Lead. The group aims to support young people to build links with the local LGBTQ+ community, build meaningful relationships and get support around issues that are impacting them. Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to support them in accessing training and support to do community-focused work. The Peer Mentoring Coordinator’s role will be to develop a new Peer Mentoring Programme, supporting older Project Indigo members to train as mentors and deliver mentoring sessions with younger LGBTQ+ people in the local community.

Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who reside/are registered with a City and Hackney GP. These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings; targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH); and an Information and Advice provision.

The role

As the Peer Mentoring Coordinator, you will develop and lead Project Indigo’s Peer Mentoring Programme. Central to the role will be understanding young mentors’ needs and goals, and providing high quality supervisory support throughout the training and mentoring process. Our client is an independent, Lambeth-based, grant-making foundation and charity with roots from the early 17th century. Their work aims to break cycles of financial deprivation for people living in Lambeth by awarding grants to individuals, organisations and community groups. The role:
This role will work across all aspects of the foundation’s grant-making activities including assessing and administering grant applications from individuals, working with organisations to develop effective and appropriate reporting and supporting the development of new streams of work. • Able to communicate complex topics in simple, compelling language for non‑technical leaders.
• Strong in integrity, stewardship, and accountability, recognizing the responsibility of managing donor‑funded resources.
• Experienced in negotiating and influencing at a senior level, combined with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Proven IT skills and experience in the areas of:
o Technology and architecture.
o Delivery and methods: proficiency in business analysis, requirements elicitation, and solution evaluation.
o Data, AI, and process improvement, including process mapping, optimization, and automation.
