This is an opportunity to join our Individual Giving team as a Welcome Officer, supporting the first 12 months of a supporter’s journey with us. This is a single role within the Welcome function, which plays a critical part in how we shape early engagement and set the tone for long term relationships. You’ll help deliver structured, well planned communications that introduce supporters to RBL in a way that feels relevant, timely and consistent across all touchpoints, working within a wider journey-led approach across fundraising.

Working closely with managers, planning teams, data colleagues and agency partners, you’ll help turn strategy and insight into clear, well executed welcome journeys. You’ll support the planning, briefing and delivery of campaigns, making sure activity is coordinated, properly signed off, and aligned with wider acquisition and growth activity.

This role will suit someone who is organised, comfortable working at pace, and confident managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders. You’ll need to communicate clearly, keep delivery on track, and work within structured processes while still contributing to continuous improvement in how we engage new supporters. Most importantly, you’ll bring a practical, detail-focused approach, someone who can take planned welcome activity and deliver it effectively, helping to build strong foundations for long term supporter relationship

The Community Table Coordinator plays a key role in delivering Shoreditch Trust’s community food and wellbeing activities, including Community Table lunch programme, Recipes of Life courses, Flavours of Home, and other food-based programmes.

The role will combine practical cooking and food preparation skills with the ability to facilitate engaging, inclusive and enjoyable group sessions. They will help create welcoming community spaces where people can connect, learn new skills, improve their wellbeing and build relationships.

Working alongside the We Connect team, volunteers and community partners, the role will support participants from diverse backgrounds to take part in cooking, food-related activities and shared meals, while promoting healthy eating, independence and community participation.

Main Responsibilities

 

Programme Delivery

• Support the planning and delivery of Community Table lunches, cooking sessions, workshops and other food-related activities.
• Lead or co-facilitate engaging and inclusive group sessions that encourage participation, learning and social connection.
• Create a warm, welcoming and supportive environment for participants, volunteers and visitors.
• Adapt activities to meet the needs, interests and abilities of different groups, including older people, disabled people and other community members.
• Promote healthy eating, nutrition and practical cooking skills in accessible and engaging ways.
• Encourage participants to build confidence, share experiences and contribute their own ideas, recipes and skills.

 

Food Preparation and Kitchen Management

• Prepare and cook healthy, high-quality meals and refreshments for groups and community events.
• Work with clients, colleagues and volunteers to plan menus and recipes that are nutritious, culturally inclusive and cost-effective.
• Set up kitchens and workspaces for activities, ensuring they are clean, organised and safe.
• Ensure food is prepared, stored and served in accordance with food hygiene regulations and best practice.
• Manage ingredients, equipment and supplies, reporting shortages or maintenance issues as required.
• Assist with transporting food, equipment and supplies between venues where necessary.

 

Volunteer Support

• Welcome, support and encourage volunteers from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrate safe food preparation techniques and support volunteers to develop their confidence and skills.
• Provide guidance on the safe use of kitchen equipment and adherence to food hygiene standards.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure volunteers have a positive and rewarding experience.

 

Partnership and Community Engagement

• Build positive relationships with participants, community groups, voluntary organisations and statutory partners.
• Represent Shoreditch Trust positively within the community and help promote food programme activities.

Head of Communications & Public Affairs

The Head of Communications & Public Affairs is a pivotal role at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) promoting our world-leading work in science, conservation, horticulture, and education.

Working as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will lead the organisation’s approach to strategic communications, seeking opportunities to engage external audiences, disseminate key messages, and raise RBGE’s profile on a national and international stage through press and media engagement.

The role is pivotal in building organisational capability, enhancing individual and team performance, and supporting a culture of continuous learning and development. Learning & Development Strategy

• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual Training and Development Plan aligned to organisational priorities, including mandatory training, apprenticeships, work experience and student placements

The role

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Income & Engagement to join our senior leadership team. This pivotal role is responsible for developing and implementing robust income generation strategies to diversify and grow our voluntary and traded income streams. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and/or fundraising, building strategic partnerships and driving innovation in income generation. As a key leader in our organisation, you will be responsible for a team of c.10 people, and work collaboratively across the charity to enable us to grow sustainably and ensure that we have the support to reach and impact more young people

Key responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy:

• Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing income generation team of 10 people, including two direct reports (Head of Partnerships and Head of Philanthropy)
• Develop and execute a comprehensive income generation strategy and plans that align with the charity’s mission and goals
• Oversee all income generation and stakeholder engagement activities, maximising the growth potential and visibility of Future Frontiers to deliver impact
• As a member of the Senior Leadership Team and wider leadership team, contribute to discussions and decisions around Future Frontiers’ performance and plans for the future

Main purposes of job

To provide a supportive role to service users and ensure the security and health and safety of our accommodation services. Staff must stay awake stay awake for the duration of the shift.

Main duties

• Ensure the security and safety of the building, following all Health & Safety procedures.
• Reporting of repairs of domestic equipment and appliances, to the service manager.

Context and Background

The NSPCC’s mission is to end cruelty to children by fighting for every childhood. The Associate Head of Mass Participation Fundraising is a member of the Supporter Led Fundraising Leadership Team and the Philanthropy & Partnerships Department. The role contributes to the overall leadership and management of the team and department as well as implementing the fundraising plans and strategies for the Engagement & Fundraising Directorate.

Mass Participation Fundraising is an important component in the NSPCC’s Engagement and Fundraising strategy. The post holder will lead and develop a first-class team to develop our portfolio, engaging and deepening the relationship with participants into long-term supporters and optimising the fundraising income they generate.

A key element of the role is to provide leadership across a diverse team, which includes Third Party Events, DIY fundraising and Schools Fundraising. Job purpose

To deliver effective fundraising activities from a mass participation portfolio of diverse products, events and opportunities. About the opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Birmingham.

• The Birmingham Programme Coordinator (maternity cover) oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. Duties and responsibilities
