This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Deputy Service Manager to support survivors who have been impacted by domestic abuse. We are recruiting for a Deputy Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse. In this role you will provide line management and support to community-based staff who support survivors of domestic abuse across Derby City. This will include providing supervision on complex casework, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of casework.
The Deputy service manager willjoin our management team toassist the service manager in the delivery and development of high-quality support to survivors accessing our community-based services in Derby City. In this role you will ensure the smoothrunning of high-quality service to support survivors of domestic abuse. This will include managing staff teams to ensure effective advocacy is provided to survivors who are at medium/standard risk and their children.
A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive outreach service
Suitable candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support, and of managing case work. In addition, you must have experience of managing and motivating staff, knowledge of domestic abuse issues, experience of providing support to survivors, and experience of working in community-based services
As a member of the management team, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call service, on a rota basis, responding to out of hours emergencies.

About the Role

The Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner provides trauma-informed, low-intensity psychological support to male survivors of sexual harms. Working within a flexible and person-centred model, the PWP helps clients understand the impact of their experiences and access practical, evidence-based interventions that support their wellbeing and recovery. The role maintains high standards of clinical governance, records interventions accurately and ensures each client receives safe, responsive and effective therapeutic support.
About You
You’ll be comfortable supporting people affected by trauma and able to provide structured, evidence-based psychological interventions within a flexible and person-centred approach. You may already have experience of working with men, sexual harms, mental health or complex needs, although we also welcome candidates whose transferable experience has prepared them for this work. You’ll be able to build trusting therapeutic relationships, work safely within professional boundaries and adapt your approach to the individual in front of you.

The Head of Support and Advocacy provides operational leadership across We Are Survivors’ support and advocacy services. Working closely with the Service Director, Operations Director and Executive Team, the role ensures services are effective, well governed and meet the needs of survivors and their loved ones. This includes overseeing our trauma-informed, survivor-centred approach; monitoring service performance; safeguarding and record-keeping; and ensuring contractual commitments and quality standards are met. The role also represents the organisation in external partnerships and helps shape services in response to changes in policy, evidence and the needs of people with lived experience.

Head of Support and Advocacy
You’ll be an experienced operational or clinical leader who is comfortable overseeing services that work with trauma, mental health and complex needs. You’ll understand how to balance compassionate, survivor-centred practice with effective governance, safeguarding, quality assurance and contractual performance. Experience of working with men, sexual harms or people with lived experience would be valuable, alongside the ability to build strong relationships with staff, partners and stakeholders. About the Role
The Nightingale Navigator supports the loved ones of male survivors through the Nightingale Project. Recognising that sexual harm can affect partners, family members and others close to a survivor, the role provides therapeutic group and community-based support, alongside psychoeducation about trauma and its wider impact. This includes helping loved ones understand the criminal justice process and working with health, social care and other partner agencies to ensure they receive coordinated support. The Navigator also brings the experiences, needs and wishes of loved ones into the continued development of the Nightingale Project.
About You
You’ll be someone who understands that sexual harm can affect not only survivors, but also their partners, family members and other people close to them. You’ll be comfortable talking about trauma and able to provide compassionate, practical and non-judgmental support through group work, community activities and partnership working. Experience of supporting loved ones, delivering workshops or working within mental health, social care, advocacy or community services would be particularly helpful. The Royal British Legion is looking for an experienced and analytical Senior Acquisition Manager to lead its mass fundraising acquisition activity and drive sustainable growth across multiple channels.
This is a senior role at the heart of RBL’s acquisition strategy, responsible for bringing new supporters into the organisation and creating the foundations for long-term engagement and income. You will lead acquisition across digital, TV, face-to-face and wider campaign activity, ensuring channels work together to deliver a consistent supporter experience. Crucially, you will ensure acquisition is designed as the first stage of an ongoing supporter journey, with clear connections into Welcome, Retention and Growth and a shared focus on building lasting relationships with supporters.
Reporting to the Head of Acquisition and Development, you will define acquisition plans, set priorities and make informed decisions about investment, performance and future growth. Working closely with colleagues across Planning, Product, Digital, Brand and Fundraising, you will use data, insight and audience understanding to identify opportunities, optimise activity and continually improve performance. You will also work closely with colleagues across the wider supporter journey to ensure acquisition activity is coordinated with what follows, creating a cohesive experience from a supporter’s first interaction with RBL onwards.
You will also lead and develop a team of Acquisition Managers and Officers, creating clarity, supporting high performance and embedding new ways of working across the team. Strong stakeholder management will be essential, as you build effective relationships across RBL and with external agencies, while constructively challenging activity to ensure it delivers against wider fundraising objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring significant experience of developing mass fundraising or marketing strategies at scale, strong analytical and commercial skills, and a proven track record of managing teams in complex organisations. You will also lead and develop a Growth Manager and two Growth Officers, creating clarity, supporting high performance and ensuring the team has the insight and focus needed to deliver. Strong stakeholder management will be important, as you build effective relationships across RBL and with external agencies, bringing together different teams and priorities to deliver joined-up supporter journeys.
The ideal candidate will bring significant experience of developing and delivering mass fundraising or customer communication strategies, with a strong understanding of individual giving, supporter experience and how data can be used to improve engagement and income.
You will have proven experience managing teams, working with complex programmes and budgets, and using insight to make informed decisions about audiences, communications and performance. You will be comfortable translating strategy into clear plans and measurable outcomes, while influencing stakeholders across a large and complex organisation.
