An exciting opportunity for a Head of Health Information and Support has arisen at World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF).
World Cancer Research Fund champions the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can empower people to make informed lifestyle choices to reduce their cancer risk.
We are seeking an inspiring, strategic and collaborative leader to shape and deliver WCRF’s Health Information and Support strategy across three core audiences: the general public, health professionals and cancer survivors. The team turns WCRF’s scientific evidence on cancer prevention and survival into practical, accessible information, training and support based on our Cancer Prevention Recommendations. The postholder will lead and develop the team, ensuring its work is innovative, evidence-based, high quality and demonstrably effective.
Working across Science, Policy, Fundraising, Communications and Engagement, you will create new ways to share our health information, improve existing resources and services, and build impactful partnerships. You will ensure that public and patient insight shapes our work from cancer prevention to survivorship, strengthen programmes for health professionals and make effective use of digital channels. Responsibilities include contributing to our Medical Education programme, participating in working and steering groups and speaking at national conferences, networking at events, engaging corporate audiences and acting as a spokesperson in broadcast and print media. Ultimately, you will help establish WCRF as the go-to source of information and support on the links between cancer, nutrition and lifestyle.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of implementing strategy, developing business and operational plans, and leading high-performing teams.
You will bring substantial experience in areas such as health information or education, working with healthcare professionals, UK health policy, health science or research, or marketing health information and services. You will be confident in measuring impact, managing budgets and using data to improve performance, with strong knowledge of non-communicable diseases and issues including nutrition, obesity, diet and physical activity. An excellent communicator and relationship-builder, you will be proactive, creative and results-focused, able to operate at senior management level and open to using digital, AI and other emerging tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

Role overview
Shine supports a community of over 15,000 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, including 10,000 adults (25+).
You will be delivering high-quality support and creating opportunities for adults living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their carers, supporting Shine members to lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives by improving condition management and fostering connections within the Shine community.
This role will focus on adults (25+), you will be primarily working within the Adult Services Team. However, there will be occasions when you will work across age groups to ensure the best outcomes for our members.
The role is home-based and ideally you will live within an hour commute of London, within Essex, Kent or Sussex as you will be attending clinics in London and the Southeast as required. There would be occasional travel required across wider areas and nationally including attendance at events, conferences and meetings at our head office in Peterborough.
The role is full time 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday with working core hours 9am-5pm with some flexibility to cover events evenings/weekends.

Join our charity at a pivotal moment. We are looking for a talented communications professional who can work with our small remote team to keep migrant homelessness and destitution high on the public agenda and tell powerful, compelling stories of the work of our members and the experiences of the people in the asylum and immigration system.
You will lead our comms work, managing our digital presence, driving engagement through our social media channels, being the first point of contact for journalists and, alongside the External Affairs Lead, developing and driving our organisational communications strategy. You will have plenty of creative ideas of how to get our campaigns noticed and ensure NACCOM’s voice is heard in the public debate.
You will understand how to work with people in vulnerable or precarious situations, empowering them to tell their own stories and giving them a voice.
A strong knowledge of the media landscape and using social media to achieve change is essential. Experience of managing websites and an understanding of brand is also key.

Job purpose:
The Communications Co-ordinator will be responsible for the delivery of NACCOM’s communications strategy. The postholder will co-ordinate all media relations, both proactive and reactive, maintaining excellent relationships with journalists and ensuring high level visibility of key projects and the issue of migrant homelessness and destitution more broadly. This post leads and manages NACCOM’s social media presence, ensuring strong engagement and building NACCOM visibility across its social media platforms, and will play a pivotal role int the development and delivery of a new website. Empowering people with lived experience of the asylum system and destitution to be able to tell their stories in a variety of contexts is integral to the role, as well as a good understanding of delivering a communications function for a network organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work with the External Affairs Lead to develop and implement a communications strategy.
· Manage NACCOM’s digital presence including the delivery of a new website.
· Ensure the delivery of a monthly email newsletter to supporters.
· Manage the design and publication process for NACCOM reports including our annual impact report, working with a freelance designer.
· Develop a social media strategy that drives engagement with NACCOM’s work with our key audiences and ensure regular, compelling social media posts and updates.
· Work with the Community Research Co-ordinator to build the capacity of our Community Researchers and Community Ambassadors to engage with communications projects and act as spokespeople in the media.
· Manage NACCOM’s media relations, providing a press office function and leading media strategy for discrete projects.
· Ensure brand and tone of voice consistency across all NACCOM communications outputs.
· Provide comms support with NACCOM events to the wider team.

Context and purpose of role
By 2034 Ramblers ambition is that everyone in England and Wales will be able to join a Wellbeing Walk close to where they live – for communities to come together and experience the health and wellbeing benefits of walking. This work is part of the strategic plan and business objectives of Ramblers GB.
The role will deliver the Walking Together Project across communities in north London, Slough and Reading. The role will engage directly with the most disadvantaged communities, where loneliness, social isolation and inactivity could be prevalent, through a ‘Getting Started’ Wellbeing Walks programme. This is a community delivery role to work with local communities to establish walks and find potential walk leaders within the community to sustain walking.

About the role:
A safe, well maintained room can be the foundation someone needs to begin rebuilding their life. As a Maintenance Operative, you’ll make sure our supported accommodation across London provides the safe, dignified and welcoming environment every client deserves.
This is a hands on, multi skilled maintenance role focused on minor repairs and property improvements rather than specialist or technically qualified trade work. Travelling between different services across London, you’ll complete jobs such as painting and decorating, repairing walls and fixtures, basic carpentry, minor plumbing, tiling and preparing empty rooms so they can be offered safely and quickly to someone who needs a home.
You’ll plan and manage a varied workload, respond to urgent health and safety concerns and identify problems before they become more serious. You’ll also inspect rooms and communal areas, record completed work clearly, arrange materials and flag any repairs that need to be passed to a qualified contractor. At times, you may check completed contractor work and provide feedback where standards have not been met.
Our accommodation is home to people who have experienced homelessness, mental ill health and other forms of multiple disadvantage. Some services are larger, hostel-style buildings, while others are smaller residential properties. You’ll often be working in occupied environments and may meet clients while completing repairs, so you’ll need to be comfortable working respectfully around people who may be distressed or experiencing a difficult time. You won’t be expected to provide support or manage challenging situations alone, and service colleagues will be available to help.
You’ll join a growing Maintenance Team that shares knowledge, works collaboratively and takes pride in getting the details right. With plenty of variety and autonomy, this is an opportunity to develop your practical skills while seeing the direct difference your work makes to the buildings we manage and the people who call them home.

We are looking for an experienced Chef to help run our busy onsite catering service. You will prepare and serve safe, nutritious meals, maintain high professional and food-safety standards, and help organise the day-to-day work of the kitchen.
A central part of the role is supporting others. You will provide practical instruction and constructive feedback to catering trainees, coordinate volunteers and corporate groups, and create a calm, welcoming environment in which people can learn and contribute.

About the role
We're looking for an ambitious marketer who's ready to take the next step in their career and help recruit and inspire supporters across a diverse portfolio of fundraising products and events.
As Senior Marketing Officer, you'll work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to plan and deliver campaigns across our Third-Party Events and relationship fundraising portfolio. As a Support Worker at Ace of Clubs drop-in day centre supporting people who are homeless and facing adversity, you will play a key role in supporting individuals who may be navigating chaotic lifestyles, trauma, and multiple disadvantages. You will provide practical and emotional support, help people access essential services, and work to empower them to move towards independence.
Your role will involve working directly with service users, managing case records, liaising with partner agencies, and contributing to the smooth running of our busy centre. In addition, Ace of Clubs works with a wide range of volunteers and partners on a daily basis including food partners, health partners, corporate, individual and client volunteers. You will also support with the operations and building’s co-ordination, including carrying out weekly health and safety checks as required, i.e. fire alarm checks, legionella checks etc., meeting onsite contractors, counting and logging cash takings, responding and filtering the central email account and making food and supplies orders. OVERALL PURPOSE
To support the Products Manager in the development, delivery and administration of innovative fundraising products and initiatives that generate income for NHS Charities Together whilst helping NHS charities increase their own fundraising income.
The Development Product Executive will play a key role in coordinating fundraising products including the lottery programme, the National Legacy Campaign, , fundraising toolkits and collective fundraising initiatives. About the Role
The Policy and Communications Coordinator plays a key role in helping NCB drive positive change for children and young people across the UK, by supporting the delivery key elements of policy, public affairs, and communications work. - Draft, design, and schedule engaging, accessible content across a range of digital channels, including social media, website, sector-facing briefings, newsletters and e-marketing content.
- Monitor news coverage, maintain a media contact database, and draft media statements and press releases to secure national and regional coverage.
- Work closely with our networks and advisory groups to ethically gather, produce, and share powerful case studies and testimonials that highlight lived experiences of our areas of work.
- Maintain digital assets, ensuring all case studies and images are ethically sourced with informed consent and stored securely.
- Monitor, analyse and report on monthly digital analytics to optimise website traffic, social media performance and sector newsletter open rates.
- Develop and maintain membership processes for external networks and groups.
- Coordinate logistics for cross-sector membership groups, campaign launches, sector webinars, and network-wide stakeholder events.
Policy and public affairs:
- Monitor UK policy and parliamentary activity, announcements and sector trends to flag advocacy opportunities or policy risks for our networks.
- Summarise complex policy documents, legislation, and research reports into clear and concise briefings for internal teams, sector partners and member, and to support engagement of lived experience groups.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality consultation responses, position statements, and briefings for civil servants, MPs, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate policy activities across NCB projects and networks, including our work involving members, children and young people.
- Support the organisation of parliamentary events, roundtables and stakeholder meetings.
- Support the development of positive relationships including Parliamentarians, politicians and officials in central and local government, and other key stakeholders.
- Support secretariat work and parliamentary engagement for All-Party Parliamentary Groups.
- Maintain up-to-date records of key stakeholders including policymakers, parliamentarians, officials, and sector contacts.
We are looking for someone who brings:

- Knowledge of UK government, policymaking and parliamentary structures and processes.

- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people from a range of backgrounds and build collaborative working relationships.
- Strong organisational, administrative and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written communication skills, with experience of producing high-quality content for different audiences and purposes, including briefings, reports, digital content or stakeholder communications.
- Experience of creating content for digital channels, including websites, newsletters and social media in a professional context.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify, interpret and synthesise information from a range of sources accurately and clearly.
- Commitment to involving children, young people and adults with lived experience, in effective, ethical and evidence-based ways.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and experience using databases, websites and digital systems.
