Role purpose 

We are looking for a proactive and organised Marketing & Communications Assistant to support the delivery of digital content and campaigns across Southampton Hospitals Charity’s channels. 

This role will play a key part in ensuring our communications are delivered consistently and effectively, supporting social media, email marketing and website activity. Working closely with the Campaigns & Marketing Manager and Editorial and Communications Officer, you will help bring our stories to life across digital channels and ensure content is published, scheduled and monitored to a high standard.

Key tasks and responsibilities  

Digital content delivery and channel management 

• Support the delivery of content across digital channels, including social media, website and email marketing. 

• Schedule and publish content across social media platforms, ensuring consistency and alignment with campaign plans. 

• Monitor social media channels, responding to comments and messages where appropriate and escalating where needed. 

• Assist with maintaining and updating website content, including uploading stories, blogs, and campaign pages. 

• Support the build and scheduling of email campaigns using Mailchimp. 

Content creation and design 

• Create engaging social media assets and simple marketing materials using Canva (or similar tools).

• Source and format images for use across digital channels.

• Support the creation of short-form copy for social media, email and web content.

• Ensure all content follows brand guidelines and is accessible and inclusive. 

Campaign and team support 

• Support the delivery of fundraising and awareness campaigns across digital channels. 

• Create fundraising and campaign materials using Canva (or similar tools).

• Work closely with the Editorial and Communications Officer to bring stories and case studies to life online. 

• Assist with coordinating content and ensuring deadlines are met. 

• Provide general administrative and operational support to the communications and marketing team.

• Support the tracking and reporting of digital performance, including social media and email metrics.

Charity People is delighted to be partnering with The Justice Together Initiative to recruit an Influencing and Grants Manager.

The Justice Together Initiative was launched in 2020 with a decade-long vision that people who use the UK immigration system can access justice fairly and equally, enabling them to get on with their lives. It is a unique and ambitious collaboration of several funder partners who have pooled more than £15 million of new funding to strategically invest in legal advice, strengthen immigration sector organisations over the long term, and local and national influencing to support the lawful and fair functioning of immigration, nationality, and asylum processes. It is hosted by Justice Collaborations which is an independent charity and wholly owned subsidiary of LEF.

As Influencing and Grants Manager you will work with colleagues, funder partners, sector experts and directly affected communities to lead the implementation of Justice Together's influencing strategy.

Primarily an influencing role, the postholder will also be responsible for managing a small number of influencing grants and will work closely with the Grants Manager and Grant Partner Community Manager to ensure that the process for grant renewals runs smoothly.

Contract: Permanent position, offered on either a full-time (35 hours) or part-time (28 hours) per week basis
Salary: £45,000 per annum full-time salary (£36,000 pro rata for four days per week)
Location: Hybrid role between home and London office, with one day per week in the London office

Justice Together has entered a new phase and is investing in influencing work to harness the organisation's partnerships, expertise, information and connections, both as a funder collaboration but also alongside grant partners and directly affected communities. Core responsibilities within the role will be as follows:

• Work with colleagues, funder partners, sector experts and directly affected communities to lead the implementation of Justice Together's influencing strategy
• Lead the day-to-day delivery of Justice Together's influencing work, identifying opportunities to shape policy, public debate and practice
• Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including parliamentarians, policymakers, sector bodies, campaigners and funders
• Monitor political, policy and sector developments relevant to migration, racial justice, access to justice and the advice sector, and advise colleagues on emerging opportunities and risks
• Coordinate responses to consultations, policy developments, parliamentary opportunities and external calls for evidence
• Manage consultants or external specialists engaged to support influencing activity
• Convene and facilitate meetings, briefings and events with grant partners, funders and other stakeholders to support shared influencing priorities
• Work with colleagues and partners to capture learning from influencing activity and use this to strengthen future work
• Manage a small caseload of grants, building positive and constructive relationships with grant partners
• Work closely with the Grants Manager and colleagues on grant renewals, recommendations and decision-making processes including preparation of papers and summaries for the Grants Committee and other internal decision-making meetings

About the role:

At North London Multi-Disciplinary Rough Sleeping Hub, you’ll play a key role in keeping the service safe, steady and well run overnight. You’ll be supporting people who have come directly off the streets and are navigating multiple disadvantage, helping to create an environment where they can rest, feel secure and continue moving forward.

As a Night Concierge, you’ll take ownership of the building overnight. That means managing access, carrying out regular checks, monitoring safety and responding to anything that arises. You’ll be the main point of contact for clients during your shift, offering a calm, respectful presence and stepping in when support is needed.

Alongside this, you’ll keep things running behind the scenes. You’ll record incidents and key information accurately, complete handovers for the day team and make sure nothing gets missed. You’ll use internal systems to log activity, report repairs or concerns and communicate clearly with the wider team so there’s continuity between day and night.

Some nights will be quiet and routine, others less predictable. You might be carrying out welfare checks, managing the building, responding to queries or supporting someone who needs reassurance. It’s a role that combines responsibility, independence and people-focused work, where your consistency and judgement help keep both clients and the service on track.

Positions Available: We have two positions available at 44 hours per week, these will include weekend working with shift patterns to be discussed and confirmed at interview stage.

About the Role

The Partnerships Manager will play a key role in driving income growth through philanthropy and strategic partnerships. Reporting to the CEO, this role will contribute to the delivery of an ambitious growth strategy. The post-holder will build and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organisations to ensure alignment with organisational objectives, and will lead the development of high-quality fundraising and outreach that deepen engagement, grow income and strengthen relationships.

This is a senior, hands-on role involving the management of a portfolio, proposal development/writing and leading conversations with donors.

This role will line manage WasteAid’s Communications Officer (0.6 FTE).

Fundraising & Income Growth

The initial focus of this role will be to grow income from trusts and foundations and selected corporate partnerships, with priorities agreed annually.

• Implement and deliver WasteAid’s Trusts and Foundations income stream with support and collaboration from CEO and Director of Programmes.

• In collaboration with the SMT develop and implement a strategic plan to grow income from major donors, and corporate partnerships.

• Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to shape funding priorities and develop compelling cases for support.

YMCA WiSE (What is Sexual Exploitation) is our specialist project supporting children and young people across Sussex and Surrey who are affected by, or at risk of, exploitation. Through education, awareness‑raising and empowerment, we help young people understand healthy relationships, recognise harmful behaviours, and build safety and resilience.

Unlike statutory services, WiSE has a youth focussed offer that is voluntary to engage in. Our team understand young people, lived experience and trauma, and how this shapes their understanding of the world.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the WiSE team as an Early Intervention CSE Worker. In this role, you will deliver preventative and early intervention work across Surrey, supporting young people, schools, and professional networks to recognise and respond to the risks of sexual exploitation and harmful sexual behaviours.

Key responsibilities are:

• Deliver a programme of targeted group sessions aimed at preventing sexual exploitation and addressing emerging harmful sexual behaviours (complementing the universal and enhanced RSE offer delivered by the Sex Ed Forum).
• Build professional relationships with Surrey education providers, arranging and delivering group sessions across a range of settings.
• Maintain accurate case notes and monitoring data, contributing to timely reporting for the service and funders.
• Work collaboratively with key partners including Children’s Services, Public Health, Police, LSCB, the Sex Ed Forum, and Community Safety teams.
• Support the development and delivery of awareness‑raising campaigns targeting young people, parents and carers, professionals, and the wider community.
• Work closely with WiSE staff and wider professionals to identify young people at higher risk and refer them to WiSE project workers for specialist intervention.

As External Affairs Specialist, you will play a central role in two of our most important priorities: strengthening our parliamentary engagement and delivering clear, timely and high-quality communication with our members.

Role Purpose

This new role within the Advice & Training team will support the development, coordination, and growth of the organisation’s training provision. We are proud to be a respected and trusted source of information for our members and international students, and the work undertaken by this role will seek to strengthen these relationships.

You will be responsible for the recruitment and administration of freelance trainers to work alongside the Advice & Training team in developing and delivering world-class training. You will play a key role in identifying trends in the needs of our membership and international students, contributing to the direction and growth of our training output. You should be able to convey UKCISA’s values and methods to potential freelance trainers and embed processes to ensure quality assurance of any training output.

Engaging with diverse stakeholders, negotiation, and being able to represent UKCISA with integrity and passion should be in your repertoire of excellent communication skills. You are confident in your administrative skills and will lead on writing and standardising contracts for and establishing workflows for new freelance trainers. The role will involve different strands of work, and so you will be required to balance concurrent tasks confidently, seeking advice and guidance where needed. You will work towards and seek to surpass targets and be willing to proactively assess and review those targets as you progress in the role. You will have an initiative-taking approach and make recommendations for the direction of targets and key performance indicators to the Advice Officer and Training Lead as you progress in the role.

In your first few months, you will have:

• Developed good working relationships with UKCISA’s wider team.
• Analysed our current training offer and begun to identify opportunities for growth.
• Begun to identify and recruit freelance trainers.
• Scoped out how quality assurance processes between freelance trainers and the Advice & Training team can be implemented.

Core responsibilities

Training recruitment and administration

• Recruitment of freelance trainers to broaden the capacity of UKCISA’s training provision.
• Writing, standardising, and administering, standardising contracts for freelance training staff in conjunction with Finance and HR.
• Liaison with the Finance team to standardise invoicing procedures for freelance training staff.
• Key liaison point between existing and new freelance trainers and UKCISA staff.

Analysis and trend mapping

• Seek to identify gaps in UKCISA’s training offer and the delivery of new services to meet those unmet needs.
• Expanding UKCISA’s offer of new training opportunities, including relating to Student Sponsor compliance, to ensure members have the technical knowledge and support needed to carry out their roles and responsibilities towards international students.
• Collaborate with freelancers and in-house staff to develop training content, in line with UKCISA quality and expectations as the UK’s main provider of training relating to supporting international students.
• Gain a deep understanding of current core training to ensure seamless integration of new courses to support learning journey of members.
• Support the Advice Officer and Training Lead in responding to trends, identifying potential improvements to the training workflow, and supporting UKCISA trainers.

Quality assurance

• Working with UKCISA’s in-house trainers to establish and embed processes to ensure quality assurance of freelance delivery and the delivery of course aims and objectives.
• Collaborate with current freelance trainers and newly recruited trainers to establish robust quality assurance processes with the Advice & Training team.
• Facilitate and monitor quality assurance of UKCISA training output.
• Coordinate the production of resources to inform and support UKCISA trainers to ensure consistent delivery in line with UKCISA values and expectations.
• Monitor the effectiveness of new training and adapt as appropriate.

Our Maintenance Team is a vital part of the Asset Management function, working across multiple properties to ensure residents have safe, secure, and good‑quality homes. The team works closely with service staff to identify and complete repairs, carry out ad hoc cleaning and decoration, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and prepare empty properties for new residents.

We operate across Brighton, Guildford, East Sussex, and West Sussex, with our services centred around Foyers in Hove, Eastbourne, Hastings, Guildford, Horsham, Worthing, and Crawley. These sites provide 24‑hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25.

In addition, we manage a number of larger shared houses (typically accommodating 4–8 residents) through our Transitional Housing teams, supporting young people as they move towards independence.

This is an important central role, responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of repairs, servicing, and routine maintenance across our property portfolio of approximately 600 bed units, alongside a number of service and office properties, to provide a positive experience for both residents and staff.

You will be accountable for raising and managing repair requests and void works, coordinating a skilled in‑house repairs team and external contractors, maintaining accurate records, producing performance data, and delivering high‑quality administrative and operational support. The role also plays a key part in supporting compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Our communities are facing unprecedented challenges with rising costs. The rising cost-of-living continues to directly impact individuals and families, with more people than ever in negative budgets, debt and housing crises. 

This role would provide direct line management to the following teams: 

• Client Services Team - the initial access points for up to 80% of clients accessing our services. From client facing work at our local town centre premises through to processing our online referral forms, this team is integral to ensuring that clients can access our services.  
• Volunteer Team – led by 2 part-time volunteer supervisors, our team of 30 volunteers deliver advice to clients over the phone and face to face. Delivering over 6000 hours of volunteering per year, this team has increased by 50% in the past 12 months and is continuing to grow across the organisation.  
• Community Outreach Team – responsible for delivering community outreach advice sessions across Bury and Bolton, as well as representing CABB in local/ neighbourhood meetings and building relationships with key community stakeholders. This team attended over 700 sessions in 2025, and with increased resources we now envisage this to continue increasing, ensuring we are delivering advice to our clients in the spaces and places they feel comfortable in, removing barriers to advice. 

These teams collectively make up our client access points, in 2025-2026 supporting over 16,000 clients to access our services and receive information, guidance and advice.  

There’s no ‘average’ day for our teams – each client, case and community location is different.  You will be responsible for supporting these teams, enhancing the service and ensuring that we are able to provide high quality information, guidance and advice to clients when they access our services.  

You will be part of the Delivery Leadership Team, a well-established team of managers responsible for their areas of specialist advice.

London Landmarks Half Marathon Communications & Engagement Officer
