Lead Change Across Salford Communities

At Mustard Tree, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.

For over 30 years, we've worked across Greater Manchester to combat poverty, prevent homelessness and help people build brighter futures. Through practical support, skills development, employment programmes and welcoming community spaces, we support thousands of people every year.

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Area Manager to lead our services across Eccles and Little Hulton and help shape the future of our work in Salford.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong people leadership with a genuine commitment to making a difference. You'll lead established teams, develop partnerships, oversee community hubs and ensure our services deliver meaningful outcomes for local people.

As Salford Area Manager, you will:

  • Manage and support a team of experienced staff, creating a positive, high-performing and inclusive culture.
  • Oversee two community hubs, ensuring they remain welcoming, effective and responsive to local needs.
  • Build strong relationships with partners, stakeholders and community organisations across Salford.
  • Support safeguarding, wellbeing and good practice across all services.
  • Use data and service outcomes to identify improvements and demonstrate impact.
  • Contribute to the future development of Mustard Tree's services, helping us reach more people and create lasting change.

About You

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience leading or managing teams.
  • Experience working in community, support, housing, social care, charity or related services.
  • A passion for supporting people to overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Confidence managing competing priorities across multiple services or locations.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable adults.

You do not need to meet every desirable criterion to apply. If you believe you have the experience, values and potential to succeed in the role, we encourage you to submit an application.
