As an Education and Community Officer you will:

- Effectively Team teach with other Dogs Trust colleagues either in school, training or in a presentation when the need arises
- Manage a network of schools and services within a geographical region, including establishing and developing relationships to promoting our programme.

Dogs Trust Education Team have been carrying out workshops in schools and in the community since 2003. Educating the dog owners of the future about responsible dog ownership is an important part of what we do at Dogs Trust. By helping young people learn about the responsibilities and commitment involved in dog ownership, we believe that we can reduce the number of dogs that are mistreated and/or abandoned. Our workshops also incorporate key safety messages that are integral for keeping young people and their families safe when around dogs.

Working in our Education Team and reporting to the Chief Education Officer you’ll have the opportunity to manage and deliver our activities in London and the South East of England. New Horizon provides a range of Youth Work opportunities for young people experiencing homelessness. One stream of work is our Jobs, Education and Training (JET) team. Job summary
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Education Coordinator, passionate about community-based learning to join our small and friendly team. The Education Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery and development of all aspects of the work of the adult and family learning programme and will have the opportunity to develop other provision at the centre. Our adult learning programme supports over 250 local adults each year through a range of programmes designed to improve their English language, digital and maths skills and increase their employability and involvement in the community. Our family learning programme supports over 200 children with online after-school classes in Maths, English and Science. You would also be responsible for coordinating 6 teachers remotely to deliver weekly online after-school classes for Year 3 to Year 9 in all three subjects. We also deliver a range of informal family learning provision across our Family Programme services to over 1000 users, and some of these programmes may be included in our Adult Education offer and so you will be required to support with the administration of these activities.
The Education Coordinator will be based at our centre at 2 Thorpe Close W10 5XL and will have responsibility for working with the heads of departments, tutors and education administrator, to plan and deliver the learning programme. The successful candidate will have a full UK teaching qualification in the Further Education sector, and delivery of FSE/ESOL at various levels would be desirable; have excellent leadership and inter-personal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; be highly organised and efficient.
The salary is £33,500 per annum and in addition to bank holidays we offer 25 days’ annual leave, additional Christmas time leave, a pension scheme, cycle to work scheme and a comprehensive training programme.
The employment is subject to a probational period of twenty-six weeks from your start date of employment with Nova, during which time you will be required to demonstrate to the leadership team’s satisfaction your suitability for the position in which you are employed.

Role description
Results has a long and successful history of engaging with UK parliamentarians around international development issues and providing them with the briefings and questions they need to raise these issues in parliament. As the Parliamentary Advocacy Officer for Education, you will lead our parliamentary work on education issues in line with our new strategy and commitment to equity. You will have a good understanding of how the UK Parliament works and how to engage parliamentarians in our issues.
You will lead relationships with UK parliamentarians around global education, including providing the Secretariat for the APPG Global Education.
Key responsibilities
Parliamentary advocacy
● Working with the Head of Parliamentary Advocacy and others in the organisation to develop and implement a high impact and politically astute advocacy strategy for global education.
● Alongside the specific global education strategy, contribute to the development of Results’ overarching parliamentary advocacy strategy, working closely with the Head of Parliamentary Advocacy and other members of the team.
● Lead on the parliamentary work on global education for Results UK, by building and strengthening relationships with MPs and Peers that result in their championing the end of poverty, specifically the importance of global education, and building support for the key elements of strong national education systems.
● Provide the secretariat function to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Global Education. The APPG secretariat/coordinator function includes guiding the Group’s work programme and activities, arranging meetings and events, corresponding with the APPG Officers and Members, briefing MPs and Peers to ask questions or speak in parliamentary debates and representing the Group externally, for example with the FCDO, Global Partnership for Education, Education Cannot Wait and others.
● Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of Parliamentary Delegations to other countries and advocacy tours to the UK, working with the relevant Policy Advocacy Officer and others in the Parliamentary Team.
● Work closely with the Grassroots Advocacy Team to ensure parliamentary and grassroots campaigning activity is coordinated and the greatest impact is achieved between the relationships our grassroots campaigners build with their local MPs, and the work led from the office to support MPs in Parliament.
● Ensure our parliamentary advocacy and relationships always remain non-partisan and cross-party, in line with our charitable aims and objectives.
Partners and coalitions
● Liaise with other global Results organisations, to coordinate our parliamentary advocacy at a global level.
● Work closely with civil society and other partner organisations and allies in the UK to coordinate parliamentary advocacy in the UK.
● Represent Results UK in global coalitions and consortia, such as Send My Friend to School (SMF), the FLN (Functional Literacy and Numeracy) Hub and others as agreed with the Head of Parliamentary Advocacy.
● Identify and develop new partnerships in line with our new strategy and our focus on equity.
Communications and media
● Where capacity allows, identify media opportunities and support media activity (including traditional and social media) related to global education.
● Contribute content to Results UK’s website, blog and social media to help achieve our organisational objectives and strengthen our brand presence.
● Publicise the APPG's activities, primarily through its website and twitter account.
● Represent Results at external meetings and events in relation to global education advocacy.
Organisational Development
● Carry out effective monitoring, evaluation and learning of your work, recording activity and outcomes that enables Results UK to measure its success, in addition to measuring the impact of your activities towards these outcomes.
● Be a key part of Results UK’s organisational development by participating in strategic discussions, evaluations, sharing your experience and ideas, and working flexibly to support other staff as required.
● Actively develop and support funding ideas to help appropriately expand Results UK’s portfolio in close collaboration with the Head of Parliamentary Advocacy and the Operations team.
● Build new and strengthen existing relationships with donors, external partners, and our advocacy targets.
● Together with the Senior Policy and Parliamentary Advocacy Officer for Education, be responsible for regular reporting to grant funders.

Person specification
This role is ideal for someone with public affairs or political advocacy experience, preferably in the UK, who understands the way that political decisions impact global poverty and wants to influence these decisions. A strong understanding of and passion for global education. Equally important is a proven ability to quickly gain an understanding of a complex new area and translate it into succinct, clear, achievable recommendations.

New Horizon provides a range of Youth Work opportunities for young people experiencing homelessness. One stream of work is our Jobs, Education and Training (JET) team. Role description
The Parliamentary Advocacy Coordinator (Education) will work with both organisations, providing crucial support to the Results UK Education and IPNEd Teams. We are looking for someone who will be proactive, efficient and flexible in supporting our parliamentary advocacy work both in the UK and globally. Having a can-do attitude that includes the more administrative aspects of the role is essential. Supporting the work of the Results UK education and IPNEd teams

Training and Education Lead
We are looking for two Training and Education Leads to work for an exciting organisation, one permanent and one parental cover (6 months).
Position: Training and Education Lead (two positions)
Location: London/Hybrid
Salary: £30,000 - £31,500 per annum (pro-rated for parental cover)
Hours: Full-time
Contract: Permanent and 6 months parental cover
Benefits: Pension; up to 26 days holidays (plus an additional two days at Christmas for office closure); training and development opportunities; contribution to further studies and study leave allowance

About the role:
We have two events-based roles to support our training and development courses. These courses are delivered either face-to-face or hybrid and are often delivered by a team of the organisation’s members. We use tools such as WebEx, MS Teams and Slido to support the delivery. There is an agreed schedule for the rest of 2024 for our public (open) training plus some bespoke, in-house training to be agreed upon with clients. There will also be additional in-house training to be secured for the remainder of 2024 and the first part of 2025.
The role holders will work within our professional development team, headed up by the director of professional development. They will report directly to the director and work alongside other team members to deliver an effective apprenticeship programme.
Our working pattern is hybrid, with attendance in the office expected for three days per week, including every Wednesday. You may also be expected to attend events across the UK and overseas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the course working parties including the production of agendas and minutes
- Create booking pages via iMIS and make them live when approved.
- Manage bookings and respond to queries.
- Prepare and distribute course information, delegate packs, learning materials and handbooks as required.
- Organise and attend volunteer Working Party meetings as required.
- Negotiate contracts, attend site visits where needed and finalise contracts.
- Liaise with suppliers, delegates and speakers to ensure all final details are communicated.
- Process bookings via iMIS, including sending booking confirmations.
- Respond to queries from delegates and potential delegates such as queries on their course or programme and progress.
- Ensure that accurate and complete records of attendance and progress are maintained.
- Ensure delegates' and speaker needs are met before and after the course.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need experience managing events (face-to-face and hybrid) including liaising with speakers and managing the technology. You will be able to work with colleagues to identify and contact potential speakers. You will also be able to manage the budget for the course delivery. To be successful at the organisation, you will need to be able to work in a small team, be flexible in accommodating changing priorities and thrive in an ever-changing environment.
You will also bring with you the following skills and experience:
- A qualification or experience in event and/or learning management
- Experience in managing the delivery of courses and training programmes including course agendas, delegate and speaker support and course administration
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills with the ability to multitask
- Excellent oral and written English
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills including record-keeping and attention to detail
- Basic financial awareness and understanding for example working to a budget and controlling costs
- Suitability to work with apprentices and vulnerable people including acceptable DBS record
- General IT skills including MS Office (e.g. Word mail merges and Excel reporting). An aptitude for learning new software/portals and experience with customer databases such as iMIS, webinar and eLearning platforms will be an advantage

EDUCATION FOR ALL MOROCCO transforms the lives of marginalised girls, in the High Atlas mountains, enabling them to fulfil their potential, reducing social injustice and inequalities, improving the quality of life for women, and their communities.
Prior to the Al Haouz earthquake in September 2023 EFA funded six boarding houses, enabling young women to access senior school education. Five boarding houses were destroyed. Astonishingly, no girls or staff were in them at the time.
We are unashamedly ambitious to build on EFAs transformational work over the last two decades. Our Covid Recovery Strategy focussed on widening our impact, and the earthquake has just made us even more determined to deliver on our promise, because we have never been more relevant.
Due to the extraordinary generosity of donors, we have funding in place to support a major rebuilding programme. However we don't want to simply rebuild. Due to covid and the earthquake there is a lot of catching up to do.
As Head of Fundraising & Communications you will work with the trustees to deliver the strategic vision, by developing and implementing a successful fundraising and communications strategy. A new website is under construction and the successful applicant will play a leading role in determining its fundraising functionality, content, and messaging.

In a typical month you’ll:
-Plan, execute, fundraising events and campaigns, attend conferences, develop compelling social media stories.
-Undertake research, identify new funding opportunities, write donor proposals, complete donor grant applications.
-Liaise with Moroccan partners, co-ordinate marketing, and fundraising activities.
-Work with donors, developing a range of benefits, events, and engagement opportunities.
-Working with trustees, prepare a monthly update report.
-Manage administrative and compliance tasks including a budget, logging donor communications into the database etc.
-Evaluate the impact and update policies and procedures.

Location: remote, withoccasional meetings in London. An annual strategy weekend in Marrakech in November.
Hours: 35 hrs per week (compressed).
Salary: £40,000 £42,000 per annum.
