Interim Director of Programmes Transformation
Specialist charity providing frontline support to vulnerable people
Salary: £70,000 FTE, pro rata for six months
Contract: Six months
Location: London | Hybrid – 3 days office, 2 days home
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader to join a specialist charity at an important point in its development.
The Interim Director of Programmes Transformation will provide senior leadership across a large, multidisciplinary Programmes Directorate, combining day-to-day operational leadership with a significant programme of transformation and change.
Reporting to the CEO and joining the Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure the continued delivery of high-quality frontline services while leading a defined six-month programme to strengthen and future-proof the Directorate.
About you
We are looking for a collaborative senior leader with:
· Significant experience leading frontline services and multidisciplinary teams in a complex, safeguarding environment.
· A strong track record of leading organisational or service transformation and embedding sustainable change.
· Experience of contract implementation, compliance and performance management.
· Strong people leadership and workforce planning experience.
· The ability to balance strategic transformation with effective day-to-day operational delivery.
· Excellent stakeholder management, judgement and resilience.
· A commitment to delivering safe, effective and high-quality services for people experiencing vulnerability.
This is a hands-on interim leadership role offering the opportunity to make a significant impact over six months, both on the effective delivery of services and the organisation's future direction.
The successful candidate will be available to start in September 2026.
