Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.
With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our Hackney Parent Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and parenting courses for families throughout the Hackney region. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
We are seeking a capable Service Engagement Lead to manage, coordinate and support both the Infant feeding and Parenting course projects. This role is split between being out in the community and working from home, it will include regular travel across the Hackney region (expenses will be reimbursed).
About the Role
Working closely with the Hackney Parent Support team, you will be responsible for the service engagement and promotion of our community-based services across Hackney. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
· Line managing the paid peer supporters within the Hackney staff team.
· Coordinating and maintaining the active social media and Infant Feeding Services website.
· Advertising volunteering opportunities across varying platforms including social media
· Provide clear guidance and information to potential volunteers on the roles, responsibilities and training requirements.
· Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all support groups are accessible and inclusive.
· Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.
· Coordinate and deliver the Equipment Hire Service across the Borough.
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires breastfeeding experience of at least 3 months. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. There will also be training on the EPEC (Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities course) provided by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a community-based role, travel across Hackney will be required, with some home working.

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team and cover all purchase ledger systems. If you have an eye for detail and have experience in working in a finance environment we would like to hear from you.

We would like you to have good communication and relationship building skills, who will enjoy working with others to provide a first-class finance service. The role
This role works within the Finance Team, and looks after the purchase ledger, ensuring the smooth process of purchase orders and invoices. You will look after the purchase management system and support the wider team to use the system effectively. You will check the VAT coding and prepare the VAT return.

We’re seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. If you thrive in a fast paced environment and enjoy data entry, this role might be perfect for you! Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about numbers?
This role will assist the finance team with finance related queries and process of all financial transactions. This includes ensuring all purchase orders and invoices are authorised, and coded correctly, and payments are set up correctly so as to be paid in accordance with agreed terms.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the Finance office and Financial accountant with the below:

Processing of all financial transactions ensuring purchase orders and invoices are authorised and coded correctly into the system and payments are set up correctly to be paid in accordance with agreed terms – for World Bureau and AISBL.

Setting up the suppliers on the finance system.

Control of the purchase ledger.
-
Executing timely and accurate payment runs.

Raising the EVC invoices and managing receipts
-
Operation and control of the sales ledger, ensuring that invoices are produced and raised in accordance with contract terms; checking that those payments are received in accordance with agreed terms; and taking appropriate action including liaising with finance managers where amounts are not received.

Accurate and appropriate income recording and liaising with Fund Development regarding donations received.

Processing and recording of petty cash payments in accordance with the WAGGGS petty cash policy.

Processing and payments of staff and volunteer expenses in accordance with the WAGGGS expenses policy.

Distribution of cash advances, processing the receipts from the expenses and reconciling the cash advance given.

Banking cheques and excess cash held on the premises

Bank and petty cash reconciliations for review by the finance manager or Finance Director.

Provide first-line advice on queries around financial transactions and operations ensuring responses consider WAGGGS financial policies and procedures and the appropriate business context.

Administration of the WAGGGS Company Credit Cards in conjunction with finance managers and to process the credit card receipts.

Take responsibility for and able to evidence own personal development by undertaking relevant training, attending meetings, conferences and events ensuring that you are updated in all matters relevant to the role within your Personal Development Plan agreed with your manager.
Other Responsibilities (3 to 4 days a month) - Main bookkeeper for AISBL

About the role
You will provide key inbound referral management and administrative support to the Money & Energy Advisers and within our Patient Support Services team for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living.
To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with people living with kidney disease and affected by kidney disease, professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the day-to-day administration and allocation of inbound referrals into the Money & Energy Advice service across the region, effectively managing initial contact, appointments and assistance for food / fuel vouchers and other grant service administration.
• Update and maintain manual and computerised database and case management systems and records in accordance with the service’s internal policies/procedures and organisational standards.
• Collate and supply information and correspondence to internal and external contacts in accordance with required deadlines.
• Liaise with referring agencies to improve referral information and the general referral process for patients.
• Act as a gateway to local information and access to:
◌ Kidney Care UK patient grants programme, raising awareness of the programme and supporting applications.
◌ Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy service, to ensure patients have access to reliable and accurate patient information relating to kidney disease, patient pathways, models of care, and patient choice.
◌ Kidney Care UK Counselling service and other appropriate services to meet patients’ emotional and physiological needs.
• Work closely with local Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to ensure that patients receive expert advice in all areas of need, with smooth, effective handovers ensuring that patients feel supported and part of the Kidney Care UK ‘family’ at all times.
• Maintain records on the Kidney Care UK database to support service delivery and communications with patients, and to facility effective reporting to Kidney Care UK and to our funders.
• Raise awareness of Kidney Care UK and the benefit of its full range of Patient Support Services amongst people living with disease and affected by kidney disease and professionals across the region.
• Provide insight on patients’ concerns and unmet needs to inform Kidney Care UK research, campaigns, and new service development activity.
• Work in a way that respects the personal, social, cultural and spiritual needs of the individual and maintains the confidentiality of information they may have shared with you.

Fundraising Assistant
Contract: Permanent, part-time (21 hours per week)
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 pro rata (commensurate with experience)
Location: Battersea, London.
This is a part-time post, 21 hours per week to be worked on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Hybrid working available, with a requirement to be in the Battersea office 1 to 2 days per week.

You will ensure that all donor details are accurate and kept up to date on our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
