Job description

Focus of the role:

  • To create, implement and oversee communications programs, internal or external, that effectively describe and promote JCI London.

  • Promote events & opportunities open to JCI London members

Key Actions:

  • Create and implement a marketing campaign (fundraising and message-focused), through a communications and marketing strategy which raises the profile of the chamber within and outside London.

  • Develop the brand of JCI London in relation to the 2027 vision and plan of action.

  • Take the lead in planning, producing and overseeing engaging content for the organisation’s marketing activities online and offline (LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook).

  • Look for PR opportunities for JCI London to enhance the visibility and reputation of the organisation.

  • Research marketing best practices from other organisations to bring into the organisation.

  • Coordinate the organisation’s monthly newsletters.

  • Work with other Directors to support the marketing of their initiatives, as well as promotion of key national and international JCI events.

  • Ensure our website remains up to date.

  • Track the performance of marketing activities.

  • Recruit and manage Assistant Marketing Director to deliver all the marketing collaterals together.

Skills you will develop:

  • Strategic planning

  • Research and data analysis

  • Project management and time management skills

  • Communication and presentation

  • Writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills

  • Social media management

  • Consulting

Time Commitment:

  • Commitment period: 1 January 2027 – 31 December 2027

  • Monthly Board Meeting (Approx. 1-1.5 hours)

  • Monthly Membership Gathering

Recognition following one year of service:

To be eligible for recognition, you will need to:

  • Attend at least 80% of Board Meetings

  • Attend at least 80% of Membership Gatherings

  • Make a satisfactory contribution to JCI London
