Job description

Join the MINDSET HR & Volunteering Committee

Help Us Build an Amazing Volunteer Programme From the Ground Up

MINDSET is a brand‑new men’s wellbeing and personal growth charity — and we’re looking for a small group of committed volunteers to join our HR & Volunteering Committee.

Our mission is to help men build resilience, confidence, emotional awareness, and healthier coping skills through practical, reflective, skills‑based support. To make that happen, we need brilliant volunteers — and a brilliant volunteer experience.

If you can spare just a few hours a month and want to help us recruit, support, and empower the skilled people who will bring MINDSET to life, we’d love to hear from you.

What the HR & Volunteering Committee Will Do

We’re looking for volunteers who can help us:

  • Build a positive, supportive, and inclusive volunteering programme

  • Develop simple, effective volunteer recruitment processes

  • Help us attract the skilled talent we need to launch

  • Support onboarding, induction, and volunteer engagement

  • Create volunteer role descriptions, adverts, and pathways

  • Shape policies around volunteering, wellbeing, and safeguarding

  • Bring ideas that help us create a great volunteer experience

  • Ensure volunteers feel valued, supported, and part of something meaningful

You don’t need to be an HR professional — just someone who cares about people and wants to help us grow.

Who We’re Looking For

People who are:

  • Passionate about men’s wellbeing and community impact

  • Organised, friendly, and good with people

  • Interested in HR, volunteering, or team development

  • Comfortable helping with simple processes and admin

  • Happy to contribute ideas and take on small tasks

  • Excited to help build a charity’s volunteer culture from scratch

Experience in HR, volunteering, recruitment, or people management is helpful but not essential.

Time Commitment

  • A few hours per month, flexible around your schedule

  • Occasional online meetings

  • Short, manageable tasks you can do from home

Perfect for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference without a big time commitment.

Why Join Us?

  • Play a key role in shaping how volunteers join and experience MINDSET

  • Help us build the team that will launch the charity

  • Gain experience in HR, volunteering, and charity development

  • Be part of a supportive, purpose‑driven team

  • Help create the culture and community that will define MINDSET

Your contribution will directly help us recruit the people who will change men’s lives.

Interested?

Tell us a little about yourself and why you’d like to get involved.
