Adult Carers Support Worker
About Kingston Carers Network:
Kingston Carers Network is an independent charity providing information, advice, advocacy and support to unpaid carers who are caring for someone with an illness, disability, or substance misuse problem.
We support carers across Kingston, including carers as young as five, so that they can live and care well.
About the Role
Kingston Carers’ Network is seeking a compassionate, motivated and organised Adult Carers Support Worker to join our Adult Carers Team and help ensure that unpaid carers receive the support, information and recognition they deserve.
Key Responsibilities
As an Adult Carers Support Worker, you will provide tailored information, advice and support to unpaid carers across Kingston. You will carry out statutory carers' assessments and reviews, develop personalised support plans, and advocate on behalf of carers to help them access the services and support they need.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone who has excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and can support people facing complex and emotionally challenging situations. Experience of supporting carers, advocacy work, welfare benefits advice, community care, or knowledge of carers' legislation would be advantageous but is not essential.
Our mission is to provide tailored information, advice and support to unpaid carers, advocating for better local services that meet their needs.
