LNK Healthy Relationship Co-ordinator

This role forms part of Southwark’s commissioned Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and Domestic Abuse (DA) service, delivered through a consortium partnership led by Bede.

The post holder will coordinate and deliver structured group-based interventions for children and young people affected by domestic abuse, alongside partnership working and service development. The role requires an experienced practitioner able to work autonomously and ensure all interventions are trauma-informed, safe, and responsive. Training will also be given.

Reporting to: (LNK CEO) & Bede VAWG Service Lead): Reporting to: Lives Not Knives CEO (for formal line management and employment matters), with operational coordination and clinical case supervision provided by Bede's VAWG Service Lead.

Programme Delivery & Coordination

•        Support the delivery of 1:1 interventions in line with agreed referral pathways and safeguarding procedures, working within Bede systems and processes.

•        Deliver structured group programmes, supporting the delivery of established programme materials and content.

•        Adapt and update existing session materials as needed to ensure they remain age-appropriate, relevant, and responsive to participant needs, in collaboration with Bede colleagues.

•        Deliver sessions focused on wellbeing, resilience, safety, and healthy relationships in line with agreed programme outcomes.

•        Work with Bede colleagues to plan delivery schedules, manage programme cycles, and support the collation and analysis of data and outcomes.

•        Use Bede’s evaluation forms and systems to collect, record, and input feedback and outcomes data to support ongoing programme improvement.

•        Ensure delivery is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and consistent with Bede’s practice frameworks and quality standards.

•        The post holder will operate within Bede’s delivery framework and systems, working collaboratively with Bede staff to ensure consistent and coordinated programme delivery.

Engagement & Participation

•        Maintain appropriate professional relationships with young people/vulnerable adults to support consistent engagement in group programmes.

•        Promote participation in services through outreach and referrals.

•        Work with parents/carers where appropriate to reinforce positive outcomes.

Partnership Working

•        Collaborate with consortium partners and a wide range of external stakeholders, including schools, colleges, universities, and statutory services.

•       Primary focus will be on group-work coordination and delivery, with school outreach and 1-to-1 support.

•        Engage with wider systems and settings, including courts and parliamentary/civic settings and religious institutions where appropriate, to represent and advocate for the service and its beneficiaries.

•        Contribute to multi-agency meetings and information sharing processes as required.

•        Support a coordinated borough-wide response to domestic abuse through effective partnership working.

Safeguarding, Risk & Compliance

•        Undertake program suitability and youth-focused needs assessments, contributing vital practitioner insights into Bede’s specialist risk assessments and family safety plans.

•        Contribute to safety planning. Work collaboratively with Bede to inform and update safety plans through regular case discussions, meetings, and ongoing communication, ensuring risks and emerging concerns are shared promptly.

•        Maintain accurate confidential records.

•        Adhere to safeguarding procedures at all times.

Service Development & Quality

The post holder will support the ongoing development and quality assurance of the programme, working within Bede’s systems and under the guidance of Bede managers and consortium partners.

Responsibilities will include:

·       Using Bede’s monitoring, evaluation, and case management systems to record and report programme activity.

·       Supporting service improvement through feedback, evaluation data, and performance monitoring.

·       Assisting with the adaptation of materials to ensure relevance, accessibility, and inclusivity.

·       Contributing to the identification of emerging needs and development of interventions, alongside managers.

·       Supporting monitoring and reporting for commissioners and stakeholders.

·       Maintaining professional standards in line with Bede policies and procedures.

Skills & Experience

•        Experience working with young people affected by trauma or abuse.

•        Experience of working within a multi-agency or partnership environment (desirable).

•        Experience in planning and delivering group programmes.

•        Ability to work independently, managing competing priorities and contribute to service coordination.

•        Lived experience (desirable).

•        The ability to manage challenging situations in a calm, professional manner.

•        Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Knowledge

•        Understanding of domestic abuse and VAWG.

•        Knowledge of trauma-informed practice.

•        Understanding of wellbeing, consent, and relationships.

•        Awareness of diverse community needs.

Qualifications

•        Relevant qualification in Youth work, Counselling, Social care, Psychology or related discipline (desirable)

•        Level 2/3 Children & Young People services/Youth Work or equivalent, appropriate lived experience

•        Safeguarding training (essential or willingness to complete upon appointment).

•        Additional specialist training in domestic abuse, trauma or therapeutic approaches (desirable).
