We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Join Us in Making a Difference at Marie Curie

Part of our Philanthropy and Partnerships department, our Trusts and Foundations team plays a crucial role in supporting our mission by raising significant funding from grant-making organisations, trusts, foundations and major donors. As our new Trusts and Foundations Executive, you will join a top performing team, identify and engage with prospective donors, build long-term relationships, generate donations, coordinate events and steward our supporters. This is an exciting role where no day will be the same and you can truly make an impact.  

You will be responsible for:  
You'll manage and grow a portfolio of trust and foundation supporters and prospects, helping secure gifts between £5,000 and £50,000 to support Marie Curie's vital work.

  • Build and develop relationships with grant-making trusts and foundations
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities
  • Write compelling funding applications, proposals, reports and donor communications
  • Manage donor stewardship activities and cultivation opportunities
  • Support and contribute to annual fundraising plans and targets
  • Maintain accurate records and supporter information using our fundraising database
  • Work collaboratively with fundraising, service delivery and finance colleagues across the charity

Key Criteria:

  • Experience in trusts fundraising, account management, business development, partnerships or a similar relationship-focused role
  • Strong written skills with the ability to create persuasive and engaging communications
  • Confidence building relationships with a range of stakeholders, including senior contacts
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive approach and willingness to identify new opportunities
  • A genuine enthusiasm for making an impact through fundraising and supporter engagement

Salary: £28,274 - £31,415 plus London Weighting up to £3,500 (please note you will be required 

Contract:  12 month contract 

Based:  UK Remote with occasional travel for team meetings.
