A fantastic opportunity has arisen for community children’s nurse to join our friendly, established community health team. We are a busy service with a diverse caseload working with service families and children in Cyprus.

We are looking for a confident, innovative paediatric nurse. You will be required to work in conjunction with the visiting Community Paediatrician and Consultant Paediatricians who provide secondary car as well as the medical officers and GPs, members of the SSAFA Community Health Care Team, schools, and voluntary agencies in your local area.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high standard of child focused, family centred care delivering high quality patient care according to agreed standards which are set and monitored.

You will be offered opportunities to develop both clinically and professionally within a supportive environment and encouraged to participate in service developments. Supervision and a comprehensive, supportive induction period are provided.

About the team

You will be based in the Medical Centre working alongside the primary health care team. You will be part of a dynamic community health team including heath visitor, school nurse, CAMHS, speech and language, dietetics, and midwifery. This challenging but rewarding role offers you the opportunity to expand your clinical role in the community and school setting as well as offering the opportunity to offer support, advice, and strategies to families of children with additional needs.  This role also offers the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely on occasions, with prior agreement from Locality Team Leader.   

About you

We are looking for an experienced, motivated community paediatric nurse who can work autonomously.

You will need to be a flexible practitioner, a good team player and be able to develop collaborative working relationships with other healthcare professionals, services, and agencies.

You will have the ability to provide case management of an identified case load of children and young people with complex needs. You should have excellent interpersonal skills to support you in managing complex discussions with a range of agencies and individuals including care providers, patients, and relatives.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Thames Valley Care Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Thames Valley Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

Relationships Manager – Trusts and Appeals

Main Purpose of the Job

The Trusts and Appeals Relationships Manager’s job is to be the ‘go to’ person for trusts and grant making bodies who may support Treetops. They will generate income for Treetops by building strong and lasting relationships with existing and potential trust and grant giving organisation through submitting strong applications to them and reporting back to them in an effective way.

You will also run an appeal programme across channels including online, offline and post and liaise with suppliers and contractors. At the National Garden Scheme a central office with a team of 13 is the hub for a wide range of activity involving hundreds of volunteers, thousands of garden owners and a large audience of beneficiary charities, suppliers, supporters and partners, as well as members of the public who want to visit gardens and engage with the charity.

The Head of Operations leads and manages County Support, a team of four who deliver the resources, information and support needed by our volunteer county organising teams who support the garden owners. The Head of Operations is key in ensuring that the volunteers feel valued and supported.

What the job involves

Be part of shaping a vital new service supporting men affected by the sexual wellbeing challenges associated with prostate cancer and its treatment.

Working as part of our Specialist Nurse team, and alongside our new Sexual Wellbeing Service Manager, you’ll provide personalised, compassionate support to men and their partners, helping them navigate their sexual health and wellbeing including treatment side effects such as erectile dysfunction.

You’ll deliver this support across our helpline channels; phone, webchat, WhatsApp and email, offering expert, unbiased information that empowers people to make informed judgements. You’ll also work with men referred from NHS partners as part of our new Movember funded service, focusing on those who need timely, specialist intervention.

You’ll help shape how this service grows. That includes:

· supporting the development of targeted sexual wellbeing resources

· contributing clinical insight to service improvements and new projects

· helping to deliver online group support, patient classes and webinars

· working with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK so that the latest clinical knowledge informs our wider activities, from education sessions for clinicians to our written health information

· representing the charity at external events where needed

· collecting and recording data to help us understand impact and continually improve

This role blends hands on support with the chance to influence a pioneering new approach to sexual wellbeing for men affected by prostate cancer. You’ll be part of a supportive, expert clinical team and will have ongoing opportunities to develop your practice.

What we want from you 

You’ll be a registered nurse with experience working at NHS Band 6 or equivalent, and you’ll bring a real passion for improving outcomes for men living with and beyond prostate cancer. You’ll already have experience supporting patients with sexual wellbeing needs, whether through erectile dysfunction clinics, sexual health services, oncology or urology pathways, and feel at ease talking openly and sensitively about issues like erectile dysfunction, intimacy and treatment related changes.

You’ll be an excellent communicator who can explain complex clinical information clearly, whether you’re on the phone, responding to a WhatsApp message or delivering a webinar. You’ll be comfortable working unsupervised, while also being a supportive, collaborative team member.
