You will be delivering exciting, innovative and fun workshops to large groups of young people in secondary schools in underserved communities across the UK.
You will be flexible, adaptable and enjoy face-to-face facilitation opportunities, which connect young people, support teachers and engage industry volunteers in a wide range of skills-building and confidence-boosting workshops.
Last year we supported over 60,000 young people build their skills and confidence and broaden their horizons.

The facilitator role is a freelance position. We offer flexible hours with delivery taking place during school hours/term time in schools, partner offices or community event spaces.
Our priority areas for delivery are in Scotland due to demand from our schools network. Please only apply if you can travel within Scotland to deliver workshops.

Safeguarding
The facilitator's responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom they are responsible, or with whom they come into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Talent Foundry Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the facilitator identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, they must report this in line with the Safeguarding policy.
The facilitator will be subject to ID, DBS and criminal record checks.

Overview of the Directorate
- The Education Department develops, resources, delivers and manages the ESU’s portfolio of education programmes. This portfolio encompasses teaching programmes, domestic and international competition(s), short- and long-term interventions in schools and external educational organisations, continual professional development opportunities for teachers, school membership, awards & scholarships, all of which are focused on giving young people the speaking & listening skills and the cross-cultural understanding they need to thrive.
Purpose of this role
- The main purpose of the role is to carry out and assist in the administration and day to day running of the ESU’s educational programmes, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and managing delivery staff to ensure collective goals and objectives are reached
Responsibilities and Expectations
· Support with the smooth running and delivery of ESU Education’s domestic & international programmes as needed
· Be the first respondent to incoming calls and emails from educators, ESU partners and the general public, providing timely and professional responses to all enquiries
· Manage ESU spreadsheets and data across various Excel and our CRM system to ensure clean and accurate data collection and collation
· As needed, support with the development and improvement of education resources
· Liaise with the ESU’s Accounts Department regarding invoicing, delivery staff pay and expenses.
· Maintain accurate records of all bookings, delivery staff status, schools, public feedback and other relevant information.
· To support with delivery of workshops in schools, undertaking training to ensure delivery and teaching matches ESU standards
· Where appropriate source venues, confirm catering arrangements and other operational requirements regarding Education events.
· Assist the department in ad-hoc admin work as needed such as printing
· Participate in call-rounds as part of the department’s sales and onboarding efforts
· Co-ordinate the collection of process evaluation & impact data.
To work or travel over occasional evenings and weekends as directed by line manager, with time off in lieu.
· On occasion, support young people during workshops, residential programmes and competition events to ensure these key beneficiaries are supported throughout their engagement with the ESU.

The Role
This exciting fixed-term role will help the IOP to understand and support Wales’s education and skills sectors and to ensure that the voice of Wales is heard and represented in the IOP’s broader work across the UK and Ireland. The Learning and Skills Manager (Wales) also leads a team of professional teacher CPD coaches and a Welsh Government funded project that provides support to non-specialist teachers of physics and help schools to nurture an equitable and supportive learning environment.
What will I be doing?
- Developing long-term, impactful education and skills projects and activities in Wales and managing successful delivery.
- Identifying risks and opportunities associated with the Institute’s education and skills work.
- Producing high quality outputs that achieve influence with key audiences.
- Supporting the production of influential policy and research activities in the education and skills spheres.
- Advising colleagues across the IOP of education and skills policy, practice and priorities in Wales.
- Offering advice and making recommendations to senior colleagues, members, trustees and external stakeholders.
Projects you work on may include:
- Scoping and delivering the Welsh elements of collaborative, cross-IOP projects, in particular those led by the Learning and Skills team.
- Working with colleagues to develop new policy positions, such as on the recruitment, retention and training of teachers.
- Leading a Welsh Government funded project supporting non-specialist teachers of physics and encouraging greater equity in schools.

We are seeking a new Head of Business and Operations to play a crucial role in supporting the Head to review and drive continuous improvement.

- Finances: You will oversee and manage all finances and a multi million pound budget for the school.
- Human Resources: This will include leading on people strategy, workforce planning and performance management including evaluating the schools operational model.

Job summary
The Director of National Programme has overall responsibility for PSTT’s UK-wide programme of support for primary science teachers. They lead the development of the Primary Science Teacher College, ensuring that our Fellows develop professionally and can play their part in delivering our strategy more widely. They also run the annual Primary Science Teacher Awards, with a new focus on increasing the diversity of nominees.
The Director builds on sector partnerships to increase shared understanding of what works in primary science, and – working with the Director of Regional Programme – to incorporate this into PSTT’s core national offer. The Director leads on PSTT’s national thematic activities and our offer for trainee and early career teachers, and commissions new projects and resources as required. They are also responsible for managing our team of Area Mentors and other National Programme staff.

The Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) programme is a one-year postgraduate diploma course and is part of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Psychological Training Programmes (previously CYP IAPT). The programme trains graduate entry mental health practitioners to work in educational settings offering help for common difficulties in children and young people including anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties, primarily with a focus on CBT-informed evidence-based guided self-help interventions. The programme is a key part of the Green Paper to transform children and young people’s mental health provision.
In collaboration with University College London (UCL) as the degree awarding body, Anna Freud is recruiting a Programme Director to lead the delivery of the Educational Mental Health Practitioner programme.
The EMHP Programme Director role sits within the Education and Training Division at Anna Freud within the Workforce Programmes stream in Post-Graduate Studies.
The post-holder will deliver a high quality, academically coherent and inclusive programme curriculum in line with the evolving EMHP National Curriculum, UCL and British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation standards.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of implementing CBT-informed interventions for low mood and anxiety as well evidence-based interventions for behavioural difficulties in educational settings; have a strong, demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and education and have experience in curriculum design, assessment and teaching in Higher Education.
The role is held within a supportive leadership team who are committed to improving the mental health of all children, young people and families.
Location
Hybrid working (a mixture of onsite and home/remote working). Staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).

The Practice Tutor will be expected to facilitate practice tutor groups, contribute to the training and support EMHP trainees in a variety of ways to develop their learning and practice as EMHPs. The post-holder will also contribute to teaching sessions, undertake marking, personal tutoring and other similar tasks to support the delivery of the programme.
The ideal candidate must have knowledge and experience of delivering CBT or CBT-informed interventions for low mood and anxiety as well evidence-based interventions for behavioural difficulties and have experience in inclusive facilitation of small group learning.
Location
Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working), the delivery of teaching and Practice Tutor Groups facilitation by the post-holder is almost all face-to-face. For face-to-face work, the post-holder will be required to attend in person at our London office (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH).
