With your expert admin skills and experience you’ll be able to apply them within the cancer community at a crucial time for these individuals as an Administrator in this Service and join us for a 3 year Fixed Term contract.

An important and meaningful office admin role keeping the wheels turning for this Advice service when it comes to all thing’s admin, processes and procedures.  It’s not just any admin role doing data entry and computer work but very customer focused too and involving phone work. It’s a varied, busy and meaningful admin job so is something you may relish if you match our values, can work in a busy office team environment and have the admin skills to be a top performer.

What’s key is our service user customer experience is slick, professional and personable and our Advice service have the important admin support required.

You’ll have an instant impact as you represent the Advice service often being the person that takes the first call, referral or enquiry into the service from someone affected by cancer. This may be from a cancer medical professional or someone going through cancer personally at any point from diagnosis. This means our administrators are professional people, they get the important information right from the outset and handle sensitive calls and communication with care and understanding showing resilience and reliability.  

You’ll work in an organised way on IT systems and capture information on spreadsheets, scanning forms, inputting data, sending forms and calling our cancer service users with updates and collecting key information from them. It means as a first point of contact, you’re an independent and sensible thinker who has focus and confidence and can adapt to the type of work needed.

It’s a busy, involved and varied role where you’ll work as part of a team, responding to the workload and keeping focus on shared goals and adapting to priorities.

The role requires a minimum weekly attendance at our Cardiff Head office where you’ll work closely with team members, meet and greet visitors, handle post, receive and make calls and perform admin duties.  Whilst you can have an option to work from home a lot it’s important you can commute to Cardiff regularly each week with a higher concentration of office time during your induction and probation period for training and team interaction days.

This is a first line, important and meaningful holistic information and advice-giving role for an experienced Welfare Benefits Advisor. It’s about using information you collect to provide immediate welfare benefits advice and guidance, and/or refer, escalate and signpost seamlessly to other colleagues and services according to client needs.

It’s a rewarding welfare benefits job working with people with a cancer diagnosis. It’s one where you’ll make an immediate difference through your practical and sound advice, existing customer service skills and knowledge and experience in the welfare benefits area.

The role is primarily home based with Cardiff Head Office working welcome. You’ll need to be flexible to commute to Cardiff as required with a higher concentration of days during your induction and probation period for training and team interaction on at least a monthly basis.

Working as part of a Financial Health and Wellbeing service, you’ll be making a first line assessment to determine urgency and priority for new client referrals gathering key financial and health information. Your work is mainly done over the phone but may also be in person or digitally where you’ll be advising and making decisions on next actions including giving advice to complete your cases, referring on or escalating the most complex cases.

Service referrals may come from cancer medical professionals or self-referrals from cancer patients. What’s important is you understand the whole picture and gather the right level of financial health information to give appropriate financial benefits advice and signpost to other services from the start of the relationship, so all potential cancer support opportunities are handled professionally.

Our service user experience is key, you’ll make sure the way you work is professional and personable and quality. You’ll be supporting and advising your own caseload of clients with a chronic cancer condition or a life-limiting cancer prognosis so knowledge of working with people with disabilities, people too ill to work or in a distressing situation is something you can comfortably manage in a targeted environment.

Fundraising at the Sutton Trust

We are seeking a dynamic and driven fundraiser to be our Trusts and Foundations Manager. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.

Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially in our programme numbers, securing a relatively stable income of c.£6m over a number of years. In recent years this has grown to c.£7m, and our organisational strategy to 2030 will continue this fundraising trajectory to increase income to £12m. Trusts and foundations income currently accounts for c.37% of our fundraising, and we know there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity in the grant-making world for building strategic partnerships with us.

Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on driving towards major gifts and strategic multi-year partnerships, leveraging a range of drivers to secure Trust, Foundation and Statutory support.

The Role and Team

As Trusts and Foundations Manager (maternity cover), you will be an experienced, proactive relationship manager and fundraiser. You will be confident in delivering high quality reporting and stewardship to a wide variety of Trusts, Foundations, Statutory and organisational donors, as well as proactively approaching funding prospects and preparing applications to secure funds.

We have strong relationships with a range of trusts and foundations, and over the fixed term contract period we are looking for a confident fundraiser to manage and support a portfolio of funders as cover for a maternity leave within the Development team.

The role will contribute to growing the portfolio of Trusts, Foundations, and organisational donors (predominantly at the five-figure level), while also providing strategic support on grant management of our major six-and-seven-figure Trust and Foundation partners. This will include compiling key reports and supporting the gathering and analysing programmatic data. You will work closely with colleagues across both the Development Department, including the Development Director, and the wider organisation.

Main duties

New Business

• Undertake prospect research into trusts and foundations, statutory opportunities (contracts or grants), and organisational funders in collaboration with Trusts and Foundations colleagues, and other senior staff and senior volunteers. This includes identification, due diligence, qualification, and creating briefings and outreach plans.

• Work with Trusts and Foundations colleagues to cultivate a prospect pool of potential donors, looking at lapsed supporters, the prospect pipeline, stakeholder network mapping through the Board and Trustees, as well as funders with an active interest in education / social mobility.

• Submit compelling funding proposals and reports to mid-level trusts, foundations, statutory and organisational donors to secure income (predominately at the five-figure level) for the Trust. Work alongside other Development team and wider organisation members to ensure high-quality submissions.

• Alongside team members, manage the shared Development inbox to ensure all enquiries are dealt with in a prompt, consistent, and friendly manner.

• Follow all relevant policies and processes to ensure due diligence is completed for prospective donors and that income projections and plans for the portfolio are kept up to date.

Account Management and Development

• Manage and grow a small portfolio of trusts, foundations, statutory supporters, and organisational donors, delivering impactful stewardship (e.g. impact reporting) while meeting all donor reporting requirements to maximise financial income and partnership longevity.

• Support senior team members on strategic management of our major trust and foundation partners, including leading on compiling key impact reports, coordinating meetings, attending programme visits, event invites, writing targeted donor communications and reporting.

• Work with the Head of Fundraising Operations to compile and analyse key programmatic data for use by the Development team in their grant reporting.

• Be accountable for achieving agreed trusts and foundations income targets, looking for opportunities to grow funding and diversify income for this stream.

• Ensure all record keeping and administration relating to trusts and foundations income is maintained, up-to-date, and processed in accordance with GDPR and Sutton Trust policies and procedures.

Fundraising Finance and Reporting

• Act as an ambassador for the Trust with external audiences, delivering presentations and providing expertise as required.

• Work with colleagues to deliver impactful events to cultivate prospects and steward partners, with a focus on experience for trust and foundation supporters and prospects.

• Work with colleagues across Development and Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, income tracking and reporting for trusts and foundations income, through the Trust’s CRM (Salesforce), account management plans, and all relevant income pipeline documents.

• Ensure you appropriately follow policies and procedures on due diligence, Salesforce and data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.

• Stay up to date with grant fundraising best practice, learning from senior members of the team, and keep abreast of developments and opportunities within the wider fundraising space.

• Other duties as necessary from time to time.

Person Specification

We welcome applications from individuals who have:

• Experience in successfully securing, managing, and developing Trust, Foundation, Statutory or organisational donor partnerships at four and five figure-level, from initial prospect research to securing income and ongoing grant management.

• Experience building and managing relationships, particularly in the philanthropic sector with organisational donors.

• Strong presentation skills and the ability to write compelling proposals and impact reports, or pitch to audiences with the intent of persuading them to your point of view or secure a specific outcome.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to summarise information from readily available sources clearly and concisely.

• Experience managing multiple priorities and tasks to successfully achieve project or other goals.

• Excellent prospect research skills and strong analytical skills.

• First-class interpersonal skills - a natural ambassador able to represent the Sutton Trust with confidence in a range of settings.

• Knowledge of fundraising in the education and/or not-for-profit sector.

• Experience using CRM software (ideally Salesforce) to accurately record funding relationships (desirable).

• Sympathetic to the aims of the Trust and its mission to address educational disadvantage and increase social mobility.

Terms of Appointment

• Contract: Full-time, Fixed term contract until 31 August 2027

• Salary: £42,000-£47,000

• Working location: Minimum of two office days per week. Our home working policy gives staff the option to - work from home for up to 60% of the time, with approval from their line manager.

• Office location: The Sutton Trust, 9th Floor, Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP.

• Hours: The standard working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. This role is likely to also be required to attend events / meetings outside of normal working hours during weekday evenings and occasionally at weekends, in line with organisational policies.

Covering the Hywel Dda or the Cwm Taf University Health Board this is an important and meaningful advice role in the cancer community for an experienced Welfare Benefits Caseworker. Managing a fully triaged caseload of welfare benefits clients across your specific area when it comes to cancer you’ll put your existing expert welfare benefits knowledge to good use, so your clients receive their full benefits and entitlements.

Your work is mainly done over the phone but may also be in person or digitally where you’ll be delivering a casework management and advice service for people with a cancer diagnosis and providing all the necessary support.

You’ll receive your referrals through your colleagues delivering the first contact element of the service. These referrals will contain full details of the advice needs ready for you to action the next steps. You’d also be required to independently build professional partner working relationships to support your role across the University Health Board as we grow the service.

The Social Media and Digital Content Manager is central to shaping and delivering the Young Vic's social media and digital content strategies. This role will take ownership of the Young Vic’s social media channels, promoting the full scope of programming and projects and bringing the Young Vic’s brand and tone of voice to life for our online audiences. This is a hands-on and strategic role for an experienced fundraiser who thrives in a small to medium sized charity environment. Job Title: Deputy Service Manager

Location: Based in Luton. Unfortunately this service has no step free access.

Salary: £28,700 (Annual)

Shift Pattern: Fixed Term Contract until March 2028 working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota which can vary between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00, 10:00 - 18:00 and 12:00 - 20:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as per service and resident requirements and will include bank holiday working. You will also form part of the out of hours on call rota for managers.

About the Role

We are seeking a Deputy Service Manager to support the Service Manager in leading our residential based service which is based in Luton. Penrose Women's Luton SHAP support women who have experienced multiple forms of exclusion such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug/alcohol dependency, and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. The team supports our women to create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment to create a space where they can call home. They provide person-centred care and support to help them overcome personal challenges and rebuild their lives for brighter futures.

In this role, you will support in leading the team by providing overall leadership to the service and line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower your team to deliver high quality support to our residents. You will support in driving service outcomes in line with contractual requirements, ensuring quality and consistency within a trauma and psychologically informed environment. You will ensure the service runs smoothly in collaboration with the team, wider teams, and external partners. We're looking for someone who is solution focused, has experience within a similar service environment, and can create a safe space for individuals to learn, and grow. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Line management and leadership, offering guidance and support throughout the employee lifecycle, fostering a supportive leadership culture focused on staff wellbeing, learning, and development.
• Encourage productivity, engagement, and wellbeing of the team through regular check-ins, training, meetings, and supervisions.
• Support with day to day tasks within the service, supporting the team to deliver the best possible outcomes with their residents.
• Ensure Risk Management processes and policies are followed within the service.
• Property and housing management, ensuring accommodation standards, timely maintenance and reporting.
• Striving to ensure excellence and quality in our service delivery.
• Financial Management of service budget with cost saving mechanisms. 

About You

We're seeking someone who has a genuine passion for making a difference to lives, and helping to create safer communities for all. You will be a proactive leader, with the ability to motivate and empower a team to drive excellence, both as individuals, and as a team, whilst providing practical solutions to challenges which arise. 

You will be knowledgeable of the trauma and challenges that women face within the service including exclusion. We're looking for someone who can build rapport, trust, and create an environment which allows individuals to grow their skills and experience and develop as individuals. 

• Due to the nature of the service, it is an occupational requirement that the postholder is female.
• Previous experience in supporting individuals in a similar capacity or managing a service which supports residents who have experienced multiple forms of exclusion such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug/alcohol dependency, and enduring high levels of violence and coercion.
• Ability to provide high quality support and line management to staff.
• Ability to motivate and empower a team to achieve KPI's
• Ability to support the Service Manager and help manage staff with daily tasks, caseloads and overall day to day running of the service.
• Ability to provide advice, guidance, and support to the team on all aspects of service delivery including resident related queries.
• Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands and needs of the service. For example, Provide an emergency on call service as and when required in case of emergency.
• IT proficiency - we use various systems so look for someone who can learn and navigate new systems including case management, Microsoft, ATS, HR systems, and other types of organisational software.
