Salary: £48,500 - £52,500
Contract Type: Permanent, ideally, full-time (35 hours per week) although 28 hours or flexible hours may be considered

BACKGROUND
For more than 20 years, Magic Breakfast has been helping children and young people start the day with the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive. But the impact of breakfast goes far beyond food. Every morning, we help pupils arrive at school feeling valued, included, and ready to reach their potential.
Today, 2.1 million children across the UK are at risk of hunger, the equivalent of four pupils in a classroom of 30. Working with schools in disadvantaged communities across England and Scotland, Magic Breakfast is committed to ensuring no child is too hungry to learn. One breakfast at a time, we are helping children and young people build brighter futures.
This is a pivotal moment to join Magic Breakfast. Governments in both England and Scotland have committed to expanding access to free school breakfasts, recognising the vital role they play in children’s wellbeing and attainment. Yet significant gaps remain. Pupils in secondary schools, alongside younger children in nursery and early years settings, are still at risk of starting the day hungry. Hunger does not begin at age five, nor end at age 11, and neither does our mission.
By joining Magic Breakfast, you will become part of a passionate, ambitious organisation driving lasting change for children and young people across the UK.

To apply

Aims and scope of the post
The Museum Data Manager helps museums through all the stages of bringing their collections data into the Museum Data Service (MDS). They help make the onboarding process reassuringly quick and easy, particularly for those museum staff and volunteers with limited technical knowledge. The postholder also makes the ingested data as useful as possible to end users by mapping the various source data fields to Spectrum units of information.
MDS is a transformative service from Collections Trust, Art UK and the University of Leicester. It aims to connect and share all the object records across all UK museums, providing the raw material for anyone to work with this wealth of knowledge. The core MDS system uses Knowledge Integration’s CIIM middleware.
Main responsibilities and tasks
- Responding to museums that have expressed interest in joining MDS and leading them through the onboarding process.
- Setting up and managing organisations and user accounts in the MDS CIIM and where needed, Wikidata.
- Generating and filing customised data processing and data deposit agreements based on MDS templates.
- Helping museums export collections data from a range of collections management systems and other systems.
- Helping museums apply access permissions to their data in the MDS CIIM.
- Mapping source data fields to Spectrum units of information.
- Proactively liaising with, and helping, museums to update their MDS data at agreed intervals.
- Responding to enquiries from MDS CIIM users, troubleshooting non-technical problems and liaising with MDS technical support as needed.
- Helping to prepare guidance and deliver training relating to the onboarding process.
- Responding to enquiries about MDA codes that identify UK collection-holding organisations and their collections and maintaining the database of these.
- Undertaking data cleaning work for Collections Trust to support collections consultancy work.
General responsibilities
- Following the principles of Collections Trust’s policies and procedures and those of MDS.
- Additional duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

The postholder will work closely with the MDS Technical Manager alongside the User Engagement Officer (based at Art UK) and technical support team (based at the University of Leicester).
Person specification
Collections Trust is committed to encouraging equity, diversity and inclusion among our workforce, and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative of all sections of society and our sector, and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. The Museum Data Manager will need to be based in, and have the right to work in, the UK. This role is remote working, with occasional in-person meetings and conferences.
Essential knowledge, skills and qualities
- Three years’ experience working closely with museum collections data in at least one collections management system, preferably a Spectrum Compliant one.
- A good understanding of museum collections data and the way it is produced and shared in the sector.
- Good working knowledge of Spectrum: the UK Museum Collections Management Standard (version 5.1), particularly its units of information.
- Experience of showing others museum professionals how to perform IT-related tasks, ideally remotely via video.
- A rigorous approach to routine administration, with an excellent eye for detail and consistency.
Desirable knowledge, skills and qualities
- Good understanding of the main principles of UK data protection and copyright law.
- Strong communications skills, able to convey technical information to non-technical people.
- Autonomy and ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Enthusiasm, flexibility and proactive approach.
- Experience of different data formats, standards and data cleaning processes used in the cultural heritage sector and/or research.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
As a Data Selections Analyst, you’ll play a key role in turning supporter data into well-targeted, well-timed campaigns across fundraising, membership, Poppy Appeal and campaigns. Working with a CRM database of more than four million records, you’ll use Apteco FastStats and PeopleStage to build and deliver the audience selections behind a wide range of multi-channel activity, from long-term campaign programmes to fast moving requests where priorities can change quickly. You’ll work closely with Campaign Managers and colleagues across Data & Insights, IT and external partners, bringing your technical expertise into the planning process and helping shape the best approach rather than simply taking a brief and running with it.
Come and be part of the leading Armed Forces charity, making a difference to the lives of those who have served to keep us safe and protect our way of life.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of data and understands how the right selection can make a real difference to campaign performance. You’ll need strong experience of data manipulation and CRM or database marketing, ideally with hands on knowledge of Apteco FastStats and PeopleStage or a similar platform. Just as important is the ability to spot what others might miss: understanding consent and suppression requirements, identifying potential clashes or over-communication, challenging a brief where needed and making sure every extract is accurate before it reaches a supporter. You’ll be comfortable managing several campaigns and deadlines at once, while maintaining the high level of accuracy and quality expected when working with millions of supporter records.
This is a role for someone who can combine technical confidence with strong communication and stakeholder skills. You’ll be trusted to explain complex data and selection decisions clearly to non-technical colleagues, work through competing priorities, manage relationships with suppliers and contribute ideas that improve how campaigns are targeted and delivered. You’ll also have the opportunity to use campaign insight, segmentation and propensity modelling to continually refine audience selections and support better return on investment. If you enjoy working where data, technology and direct marketing come together, and want a role where your expertise is genuinely central to how campaigns reach the right supporters, this could be a great opportunity to join the team.
You will be contracted to your home address, and you will perform most of your work remotely there, with occasional travel (incl. For monthly team meetings).
Employee benefits include -
- 28 day’s paid holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing with service, with optional annual leave purchase scheme of up to 5 working days
- Enhanced paid maternity, paternity and adoption leave
- Generous pension scheme with employer contributions ranging from 6% to 14%, depending on length of service
- Range of flexible working options may be available, depending on your role
- Employee Assistance Programme providing confidential counselling, financial and legal advice
- Range of courses delivered by learning specialists to support your development goals and objectives
- Opportunities to volunteer
- Travel loans, Cycle to Work, and more!

Salary: £26,436 per year (pro rata), paid monthly
Experience: No experience required
Degree needed: 2:1 or first-class honours

Who we are
Are you a high performer who wants to learn more about software, AI, data and digital projects? This internship is full time (40 hours a week), five days per week for a six-month period, with an initial one-month probation. Our intern will be given regular reviews to track progress and a formal assessment after 1 and 3 months.
Flexible working location
Our staff have the choice about whether to work from home in the UK or from our office in Tooting, SW London, or a mixture of both, during regular operational hours. If working from home, staff must have a working environment suitable for holding video-call meetings with clients.
Wherever you work, you will interact regularly with senior team members to gain new skills and exchange ideas.
How to apply
Please send your tailored CV and a cover letter by 11.59 PM (BST) on 18 September 2026. Clearly state the reference 17638 in the subject line of your email. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting beneath the numbers and working out what they are actually telling us. As Data Analysis & Insight Coordinator, you’ll work across Fundraising, Poppy Appeal and Membership, using data from a range of sources to understand performance, spot opportunities and help teams make better decisions. You’ll take ownership of analysis across campaigns and activity, monitor KPIs, contribute to forecasting and modelling, and turn complex information into clear findings that people can genuinely use.

The role involves working closely with colleagues across different areas of the organisation, as well as supporting external analytical work, so you’ll need to be comfortable moving between detailed data analysis and conversations with people who may not work with data every day.

You’ll have experience with SQL reporting and analytics tools and be confident interpreting KPIs, identifying patterns and presenting your findings in a way that is straightforward and useful. Just as importantly, you’ll be someone who can build good working relationships, manage competing priorities and explain your thinking clearly. Experience with tools such as Apteco FastStats, Power BI, Qlik, Tableau or geodemographic systems would be an advantage, but we’re particularly interested in someone who can take good quality analysis and turn it into insight that leads to action.
