About the role and its purpose

· You will be responsible for Advantage’s income and business development activity

· You will lead a broad range of income generating activities and manage relationships with stakeholders

· You will be responsible for growing income from a variety of sources, income streams and relationships

· You will have a clear priority focus on converting pilot and seed-funded contracts to longer-term sustainable contracts and developing donations and project funding

Key tasks & responsibilities

Income generation

· Use your skills, creativity and experience to develop our income generation strategy

· Develop ideas for creative sponsorship and funding opportunities, putting together and submitting proposal and tender documents; identifying suitable partners; presenting proposals and closing deals

· Converting pilot and seed-funded contracts to longer-term sustainable contracts e.g. current Postcode Lottery agreement in the North-East converting to a long-term contract with North-East and North Cumbria ICB (more information to this can be given at interview stage)

· Support drawing up and negotiating contracts and ensuring delivery

· Work with stakeholders and our internal team to scope and develop exciting new opportunities

· Develop and steward fundraising and donor relationships in order to increase income

· Deliver on agreed income targets

Partnerships and Networks

· Build and maintain a network of strategic key external contacts that can support Advantage Mentoring’s work. Stakeholders will be from private, public and third sector groups. Take an active role in representing Advantage Mentoring to appropriate Trusts and Foundations

· Develop a work plan for private sector and philanthropic engagement to achieve a joined up and coherent approach to engaging with commercial organisations across multiple outcomes (financial, brand awareness, influencing policy and support-in-kind)

Communication, marketing and external relations

· Work with Communications colleagues to create materials that will attract new strategic partners, for example highly targeted work aimed at specific sectors being clear about the value of partnering with Advantage Mentoring

· Represent Advantage Mentoring with external audiences (in the media, at events, in meetings with senior stakeholders)

Strategic Leadership

· Develop and implement Advantage’s income generation strategy and policies, as a part of the Leadership Team

· Ensure that partner organisations understand and commit to our values

Management

· Oversee the business development pipeline and ensure that enough proposals are being submitted to make the achievement of income targets probable

· Provide income generation information to the Managing Director and participate in Executive Team meetings and Board meetings

· Report to the Board on income generation as required.

· Maintain a thorough understanding of financial targets and progress

· Work alongside the Head of Operations & Projects to make sure projects are properly initiated and well managed to ensure all contractual obligations are achieved

· Work closely with the PR/Comms Manager to support the awareness of the organisation’s work on a national and local level

Reporting

· Utilise the project bids pipeline spreadsheet and capacity spreadsheet to inform planning and resourcing

· Maintain an effective database of Grants, Trust and Foundation contacts

· Monitor digital income streams to ensure they are effective and opportunities are secured

· Work in collaboration with the communications team to build brand awareness, and promote income generation and impact developing content for key messaging, PR, and branding materials to support effective marketing of the organisation

· Design and develop key income generation materials to enhance our external visibility including extending our profile via submissions for awards and recognition programmes

· Plan and support events for awareness raising and dissemination of our work

· Ensure systems and processes for managing data comply with the organisation’s data protection obligations, charity law and GDPR

· Develop robust systems for the effective stewardship and reporting to supporters of our work

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The main purpose of the role is to prepare individuals to move on to independent living in the community. Service users may step down from the intensive support service to high, medium or lower needs before moving into the community. From the outset of an individual's tenancy the focus of the support is on preparing them for their journey of recovery and independence over an agreed period.

You will be working Monday to Sunday on a shift rota starting from 08:00 until 23:00 at the latest

You work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to support and induct new peer staff and volunteers. The post holder will be responsible for managing their own clinical caseload. This role involves the assessment and delivery of appropriate high-intensity psychological interventions to individuals presenting with common mental health difficulties within an NHS Talking Therapies service.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical

1. Accept referrals in line with agreed service protocols.

2. Conduct assessments and deliver therapy via telephone, video consultation and face-to-face appointments.

3. Deliver High Intensity CBT treatment in both individual and group formats (as agreed).

4. Assess suitability of referrals in accordance with departmental protocols and refer clients to alternative services where appropriate.

5. Formulate, implement and evaluate evidence-based treatment plans.

6. Involve family members and carers in treatment where appropriate, communicating formulations sensitively and in accessible language.

7. Promote access to psychological therapies within peripheral settings. For example, therapists working in GP surgeries will attend practice meetings, build effective working relationships with primary care teams, and ensure promotional materials are readily available for both professionals and members of the public.

8. Liaise with other psychological therapy services to enhance collaborative working and improve service provision for local residents.

9. Plan and coordinate appropriate packages of care, communicating effectively with internal and external professionals to support continuity and transfer of care where required.

10. Undertake risk assessments, develop risk management plans, and initiate appropriate action when indicated, including referrals to secondary care and safeguarding services.

11. Collect and record outcome data using the TALKING THERAPIES IAPTUS system, ensuring accurate documentation of clinical contacts, records, and care pathway progression.

12. Ensure care is delivered within the stepped care framework in use within the service.

13. Adhere to the service operations manual and relevant policies and procedures.

14. Take proactive responsibility for meeting agreed clinical activity targets, including therapy contact hours.

15. Contribute to clinical governance processes within your area of practice under the supervision of a Senior Therapist.

16. Develop a specialist clinical interest area (e.g. PTSD, OCD, Long-Term Health Conditions, Perinatal Mental Health, Eating Disorders, Social Anxiety). Specialist focus may evolve in line with service needs and continuing professional development.

17. Participate in clinical audit activities, including analysing service user feedback and presenting findings verbally and in writing.

Training and Supervision

1. Attend regular clinical supervision (individual and/or group) within the service.

2. Participate in peer supervision.

3. Actively engage in continuing professional development (CPD), including effective use of supervision.

4. Attend and complete all required Talking Therapies-approved workshops and training relevant to professional objectives.

5. Contribute to peer learning through journal clubs and in-house CPD events.

6. Provide supervision to other staff where appropriate, following completion of relevant training and experience.

Professional

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

The main purpose of this role is to support rough sleepers on the RBWM housing pathway. The resettlement team help service users to maintain their tenancies and remove the risk of homelessness. This role supports people with experiences of rough sleeping, substance use and homelessness to access the RBWM housing pathway, using comprehensive assessments and co‑produced Personal Housing Plans to identify needs, risks and opportunities. You'll provide weekly key‑working sessions, help clients maintain Stage 2 temporary accommodation, and motivate them to build independence, engage in recovery, and improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Working collaboratively with education, employment, health and specialist agencies, you'll ensure support is holistic and focused on preventing homelessness wherever possible. You'll manage a varied caseload in line with service standards and Hestia values, empowering service users to take ownership of their goals and make meaningful progress toward stable housing and a better quality of life.

You will be responsible for developing, supporting and maintaining independent living skills and general wellbeing for up to ten service users within the Support Service

You must be able to work both independently and as part of a team, including supporting the induction of peer staff and volunteers. An awareness of lone working and health and safety practices is important, alongside motivation to uphold professional standards and use management and peer support to maintain resilience. TLC: Talk, Listen, Change is a dynamic, leading relationships charity based in Greater Manchester and we are looking for a Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker (Thriving Families), to deliver tailored perpetrator interventions within a multi-disciplinary team.

The role
This role will work collaboratively within Manchester City Council’s multi-disciplinary Thriving Families Team, to support families where children are open to Child Protection or Child In Need Plans. The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will engage directly with adults responsible for causing harm, aiming to increase perpetrator accountability and encourage positive change. Through one-on-one tailored interventions, the goal is to reduce risk to both victims and children, while enhancing the perpetrator's willingness to alter harmful behaviours.  The Domestic Abuse Prevention Worker will work collaboratively with the Thriving Families Team and other agencies, ensuring a multi-agency, whole family approach. Additionally, the worker liaises with victim/survivor services to assess risks, formulate safety plans to secure better outcomes for those impacted by domestic abuse.

About you

You’ll be confident in delivering direct work with those who use harm. This will include completing comprehensive assessments of risk and need to deliver tailored interventions. You’ll have direct experience of working therapeutically with a client group and be confident in addressing challenging and harmful behaviour. You will have experience of safeguarding processes and multi-agency working.

Above all you will have the ability to build positive relationships with difficult to engage client groups, and you’ll bring a positive, solution focus attitude. We’d also love to hear from applicants who are fluent in speaking an additional language.

Barnardo's Parenting Wellbeing Service (PWS) are seeking to recruit two reliable and motivated individuals to join our team who share our commitment and vision to develop an outstanding service and embed Barnardo's basis and values in all we do. Barnardo's PWS offers advice, guidance and support to parents and carers across the county of Surrey.

The contracted hours for these two positions are 26.75 hours per week. Flexibility can be discussed about how these hours are completed within the working week. It is essential that Tuesdays are a working day and there will other occasions where early evening working (up to 6pm) will be required however this would be planned in advance to cater for our parent/carer schedules.

As a Parenting Wellbeing Practitioner, you will hold a rolling caseload and provide support to parents/carers whose children/young people are experiencing difficulties with their emotional health and wellbeing. PWS aims to upskill parents/carers and empower them to explore new strategies to make effective change. PWS encourages parents/carers to use a solution focussed, goal-based strength approach, building on their existing knowledge to support their child(ren) to thrive.

Parents/Carers are offered a hybrid model of support over a number of sessions which are continuously assessed to measure progress. This is usually provided through one 60-minute session per week which can be received either online, over the phone, at home or out in the community.

The Parenting Wellbeing Service operates within a Thrive Framework where choice and shared decision making is fundamental. It is a relational model, and we hold a non-judgmental and trusting relationship between the staff member and parents. You will receive training on the Thrive model at the start of your employment. 

 

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience working with and supporting parents/carers whose children and young people are experiencing difficulties with their emotional health and wellbeing.
• Have the ability to plan, deliver and evaluate 1:1 and groupwork wellbeing interventions with a solution focussed, goal-based strength approach.
• Be able to engage and communicate online and in person with parent/carers, schools, and other professionals or stakeholders representing Barnardo's.
• Have an understanding of how to work within a trauma-informed framework.
• Have knowledge of safeguarding issues, working within multi-agency frameworks and conducting risk assessments.  
• Have good time-management, organisational, numeracy and literacy skills including competency on IT software.
• Have a full UK driving licence and access to a roadworthy and taxed car.

Although the role is hybrid with the ability to work from home, it is essential to meet the needs of the service to travel around Surrey when necessary. Due to this, access to a vehicle and a valid driving licence will be essential. Car insurance must include business use and be in place before starting with the service. The office base (Surrey Wellbeing Hub) for this role is currently in Leatherhead, Surrey and there is a requirement to regularly attend meetings and collect resources from this location. This base determines your normal deductible commute.

Barnardo's offer their staff regular supervision, external clinical supervision and give all colleagues access to at least three learning days a year (pro-rata). Barnardo's University (BU) facilitate a range of opportunities which will be available through B-learning online and the BU prospectus. However, staff can use this time in a way that works for them – for instance to spend a day shadowing another team.

Why this role matters

This new role will own and deliver FutureDotNow’s growth programme, increasing membership numbers, expanding Charter signatories and building a stronger, more diverse funding base. Ultimately, it’s all about action designed to increase the number of business helping people build their essential digital skills. 

You’ll design and deliver strategies to raise awareness of what we call ‘the hidden middle’ among businesses and organisations in the UK. You’ll help businesses see the relevance, inspire them to want to help people of working age build the digital essentials, sell the benefits of being part of the FutureDotNow coalition and provide them with solutions that make doing that as easy as possible. 

Key responsibilities 

This role’s primary focus is developing our member value proposition and driving growth in both membership and Workforce Digital Skills Charter signatories.  

• Charter & Membership Growth. You will design and execute strategies to significantly grow the number of companies who are signatories to the Workforce Digital Skills Charter and / or FutureDotNow members, alongside strategies that retain and engage the existing community.

• Membership management. You’ll own and manage the membership pipeline end-to-end, from inbound interest through to conversion, onboarding and retention. You will drive self-service into our processes so it’s easy for organisations to see the value and sign up as members and charter signatories, minimising the need for calls and meetings. For some organisations that extra bit of hand holding to get them over the line will be necessary and, in these circumstances, you’ll act as the front face of FutureDotNow.

• Member Value Proposition. You will shape and refine our value proposition to members, bringing the features and benefits to life in new and compelling ways that talk to the needs of business in their language. Effectively, you’ll be responsible for ‘productising’ our bank of reports and other resources into tools and solutions and identifying value that may have been overlooked. As part of this, you’ll maintain and develop the FutureDotNow’s training directory so it’s easy for employers to find high-quality training content that already exists.

• Organisational Maturity Framework Mapping. You’ll lead our work to position the Organisational Maturity Framework as a new way for businesses to understand the journey they may be on and position against peers (ideally creating FOMO along the way). You’ll own the first mapping of existing FutureDotNow tools and solutions to the Organisational Maturity Framework, prioritising quick wins that unlock member action, and developing this into a BAU process.

• Members Area. You will lead the strategy and delivery of our Members’ Area on the FutureDotNow website, defining the information architecture and content governance. You’ll use WordPress to add new content and keep existing content up-to-date and relevant. You’ll work closely with our Communications and Campaigns Manager to improve both the UX and value offer of the Member’s Area on our website, working with a third-party web development agency when required. 

• Digital Strategies & Campaigns. You will be responsible for setting digital strategies to engage existing members and grow the pipeline of new members and Charter signatories. You’ll create and deliver digital content and campaigns (website, social, email etc.) that drive membership engagement and growth, working with our Communications and Campaigns Manager. 

• Partner Engagement & Storytelling. You will establish efficient ways to engage with partner businesses and key stakeholders. You will work closely with our Communications and Campaigns Manager to create and deliver content that showcases what works and raises the profile of members, including case studies and other compelling content. 

• Data, Insight & CRM. You’ll own our CRM (HubSpot). You’ll use our CRM data, website analytics and member feedback to manage and enhance our value proposition, track engagement, segment the audience, and drive continuous improvement. This will include setting KPIs and monitoring campaign performance and reporting. 

• Empowering others. We have a significant community of influential organisations and individuals, and you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering content that enables us to work through them, making it easy for them to be advocates and encourage their peers to be part of the FutureDotNow coalition.

Overview of Post

The Operations & Administration Support role is a vital part-time position responsible for the seamless operational flow of Kairos. Key duties encompass a broad range of administrative functions, from managing the main email inbox and creating visual content to accurate data entry and essential record-keeping. The role provides front-of-house support, welcoming women and visitors attending our Women’s Hub and ensuring its smooth running through monitoring and ordering essential supplies and liaising with CV Life regarding building maintenance and cleaning services. The role requires an organised, empathetic, and proficient administrator capable of supporting front line staff and the Senior Leadership Team. 

Main Responsibilities

Digital & Communications

• Manage the admin email inbox, responding to all queries promptly and forwarding communications to relevant staff members as appropriate 

• Open, scan, and distribute post to appropriate recipients 

• Use online graphic design tools to create visual content such as posters, signs and information sheets for use in the Women’s Hub and on social media.

• Assist the Senior Leadership Team in website updates and social media content. 

Reception

• Welcome women arriving at the Women’s Hub with empathy and professionalism, responding with particular sensitivity to any who may be distressed 

• Use knowledge of local services, advocacy, and rights to direct women to appropriate support, so ensuring no one leaves without assistance or alternative referral options 

• Welcome visitors and external partners attending meetings, assisting in preparation of refreshments as required 

• Assist the Support & Services Lead in ordering bus passes

Compliance & Governance

• Assist the Support & Services Lead in maintaining safeguarding records and procedures, entering and updating concerns on the log.

• Assist colleagues in maintaining an accurate record of women attending groups and services, entering individual service user details onto the database.

• Maintain and circulate a quarterly policy review schedule to the Senior Leadership Team. 

• Coordinate policy update processes and distribution

Financial & Procurement Management

• Administer procurement processes for office supplies and equipment 

• Assist the Finance & Impact Lead during contract reviews and negotiations, e.g. by researching best value and actively requesting charity discounts from suppliers 

• Assist Finance & Impact Lead in reviewing service contracts for energy, phone, internet, and insurance

Facilities & Building Management

• Assist the team in ensuring the Women’s Hub and courtyard is clean, tidy and free of rubbish, ready to welcome women and visitors. 

• Manage and monitor waste collection schedules (general waste, recycling, food waste) and coordinate sanitary bin and confidential waste collections 

• Maintain stock levels of essential supplies (e.g. toilet rolls, paper towels, soap, health and safety products) 

• Liaise with CV Life regarding building maintenance and repairs, and with cleaning services 

• Arrange annual PAT testing of all electrical equipment 

• Assist the designated Health & Safety Officer in

  • conducting periodic checks of the security alarm systems and access procedures 

  • identifying and resolving health and safety issues, maintaining accurate incident logs

Relationship Management

• Maintain positive relationships with key service providers 

• Support SLT, front line team and volunteers with operational queries, liaising with contractors as required.

• Keep stakeholders informed of relevant developments and maintain regular communication

HR Administration Support

• Conduct annual driving license checks for staff who drive for work

• Verify MOT and tax status for vehicles used for work purposes 

• Provide administrative support to the Volunteering & Community Engagement Lead and Support & Services Lead during recruitment.

Health and Safety

• Assist the designated Health and Safety Officer in conducting and recording risk assessments and monitoring their implementation 

• Record workplace accidents

• Maintain supplies of condoms and pregnancy tests, liaising with Public Health

IT & Equipment Management

• Manage inventory of laptops and mobile phones, and assist the Support & Services Lead by logging and monitoring SIM cards.

• Liaise with IT service provider for equipment procurement and technical support 

• Coordinate laptop setup and configuration for new staff 

• Assist Finance & Impact Lead in procuring replacement devices as needed, seeking best value options 

• Manage and review mobile phone contracts 

• Maintain accurate records of equipment allocation and contract expiry date

Experience

• Previous experience in office administration 

• Proficiency in IT: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience using databases or CRM software
