The Youth Worker (Mentoring) will support Inspiring Inclusion’s Our Schools, Our Change programme by providing trauma‑informed, one‑to‑one support to Black and racially minoritised young people with adverse childhood experiences. Working closely with Camden schools and community partners, they will build trusting relationships that help young people feel seen, heard, and empowered while wider systems change progresses. They will use holistic, strengths‑based, participatory approaches, contribute to a test‑and‑learn model, and bring strong reflective and organisational skills. About the Role
The key objective of this role is to support Trustees and the Senior Leadership Team with strategic development and income growth, by identifying opportunities, presenting business cases, leading on tendering activity, and project mobilisation. Role Context
Recovery in Community is a collaborative initiative delivered in partnership between Gaddum and Manchester Mind. The service supports people to leave inpatient mental health settings and return to their community with the support they need to recover and remain well.
As a team, we deliver psycho-social interventions, advocacy, housing and welfare rights advice, peer support to adults as well as tailored support to young people (those under the age of 25).All we do is underpinned by listening and ensuring people feel heard – because we know that when people are listened to, they recover. The team works with colleagues within the mental health, primary care, inpatient and community sectors.
Role Purpose
As a Peer Support Worker, you will have lived or living experience of receiving mental health care or treatment in hospital. Using your expertise gained through this experience, you will support peers in their mental health recovery who are ready to leave hospital or are already in the community. Receiving support from your colleagues, you’ll develop and manage your casework practice and hold a small case load.
You will walk alongside people to set achievable goals to ensure they get the support that they need, ultimately feeling connected to their communities – the right services and support network.

Role Context
Recovery in Community is a successful partnership between Manchester Mind and Gaddum. We support people to manage and live with their mental health in their community. Staff are employed by both organisations but work together collaboratively and as a team.
As the Recovery in Community Worker (Referral and Assessment) you will be supporting people in who have been referred into Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) services but may not meet the threshold for secondary or specialist mental health services. The aim of this work is to ensure that people referred receive the right support at the right time.
You will work closely with the Referral and Assessment team at Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust (GMMH) to take referrals and ensure people get access to the mental health and social support they need.
Role Purpose
You will be building trusting and kind relationships with the understanding that they enable people to be listened to and heard and that this makes a difference. You will be part of a team providing effective person-centred support to people who come through the referral and assessment hub – many of whom often have tried many times to get the help they need. We want to enable people to feel connected within their communities – to services, friends and family.
You will also be building relationships with NHS and statutory services. The structure of the service is brief intervention (working with people for a short period of time) with a focus on supporting people to connect to community services and resources effectively.
You will be well supported in this role. The service takes a team-based approach, and you will be joining a team of five and you will be supported directly by a Team Coordinator as well as being part of the wider Recovery in Community Service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Take referrals from the GMMH (Greater Manchester Mental Health) Referral and Assessment Hub and build trusting relationships with people so that they receive the support they need to recover and stay well.

· Support the development of a supportive and productive referral route into and out of the service, managing exit from the service safely.
· Support the development of this new service, responding professionally to changes as we improve and evolve our working practice collaboratively.
· Provide a trauma-informed service to people: listening, offering safety, choice and empowerment to the people you support so they can effectively engage with services and make sustainable links in with their communities.
· Identify and deliver appropriate interventions.

· Independently travel to visit people in a range of settings across in Manchester and across Greater Manchester, adhering to lone working and risk management procedures.
· To integrate effectively with colleagues at Manchester Mind, taking a “one team approach” to deliver a seamless service, understanding the different roles in the Recovery in Community team and recognising each other's strengths.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and records using agreed case management systems, following standard operating procedures.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
This role involves managing a caseload of service users who require early intervention or preventative support for their mental health, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and greater independence. You will work collaboratively with individuals to clearly explain the service model, pathways, aims and objectives, enabling them to actively participate in and co-produce their support plans. The role includes delivering group activities and programmes, developing peer support networks and community-based opportunities, and encouraging service users to engage with activities that support their goals and aspirations. You will empower individuals to effectively engage with a range of professionals and services, including community mental health teams, social workers, housing providers, healthcare professionals and Job Centre Plus. Working as part of a flexible and supportive team, you will contribute to ensuring service coverage and the achievement of contractual requirements. You will actively monitor the health, wellbeing, safety and security of the service and its users, responding promptly to any concerns in line with organisational procedures. Strong administration skills are essential, as you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential records, completing referrals, assessments and reviews in a timely manner, and supporting the wider service through day-to-day operational tasks. You will also participate in regular supervision, appraisals and professional development activities, demonstrating a proactive and collaborative approach to delivering high-quality support.

Candidates will bring lived experience of mental health care pathways, such as emergency department attendance, acute admissions or engagement with community mental health services, alongside a strong understanding of the challenges faced by people with a range of mental health conditions. You will be able to communicate effectively and provide support with dignity, empathy and respect, building and maintaining trusting relationships with service users, carers, colleagues and professional partners. Strong listening and verbal communication skills are essential, enabling you to engage confidently with individuals who may be experiencing crisis, as well as with statutory and voluntary agencies both in person and over the telephone. You will have knowledge of recovery-focused approaches, mental health and wellbeing support services available within the local community, and the ability to assess needs, risks and aspirations while identifying appropriate support and signposting opportunities. The role requires excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to work dynamically and remain effective under pressure. Good IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and internet-based systems, are important, as are strong literacy and numeracy skills to produce accurate and professional written correspondence. A sound understanding of safeguarding responsibilities is essential, together with the ability to respond appropriately to concerns. You will be a collaborative team player who can work independently when required, support the induction of new peer staff and volunteers, and build positive partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for service users.

Support Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke.
We are looking for an innovative, passionate, and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in Macclesfield.
Position: 000052 Stroke Association Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based, Macclesfield, Cheshire. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week
Salary: Circa £22,600 per annum (FTE circa £28,300 per annum)
Contract: Fixed term contract until 31 March 2027. Our services are contracted. We currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2027.
