Victim Support is seeking a confident, organised, Operations Manager to lead our Witness Service Referral and Information Centre (RIC), the first point of contact for witnesses and professionals within the criminal justice system (CJS). You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that victims and witnesses receive high-quality, timely service.
We are looking for someone who brings strong people-management experience, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to building a supportive and high-performing team. You'll lead in change management and oversee the work of Team Leaders, responsible for contacting and providing information to clients and working closely with the Witness Care Unit (WCU) ensure our Witness Service meets initial contractual and quality standards.
This role is full-time working 37.5 hours per week and is home-based with occasional travel.

About the Role
As the Operations Manager - Witness Service (RIC),
You will:
- Lead the delivery of the Witness Service within the RIC, comprising of home workers. Ensuring a high-quality, safe, and consistent initial contact and assessments for all witnesses.
- Line-manage Team Leaders, supporting recruitment, training, development, performance, and wellbeing.
- Oversee the services provision, ensuring witnesses receive timely assessments, tailored support, and appropriate referrals.
- Produce accurate and compliant data, audits, reporting, and monitoring of KPIs and quality standards.
- Oversee resource planning, and service coverage across the RIC comprising of geographically dispersed teams.
- Promote excellent communication across teams, facilitating reports for meetings and sharing learning.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including the WCU, other statutory and voluntary partners.
- Foster an inclusive, trauma-informed, person-centred approach that recognises diverse needs and vulnerabilities.
- Provide leadership that champions continuous improvement and maintains the dignity, safety, and wellbeing of witnesses.
This role requires strong attention to detail, confidence using digital systems, and the ability to manage competing demands while supporting a high-performing team.
You will have:
- A strong understanding of the criminal justice system and the impact of crime on victims and witnesses.
- Experience delivering services in demanding call centre environments with a focus on customer experience and service excellence.
- Experience providing guidance, support, or crisis management to staff.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to work without direct supervision, manage competing demands, and maintain organised and methodical working practices.
- Experience gathering, analysing, and reporting information from multiple sources.
- Sound IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office and case management systems.

The Witness Service provides free, independent support to any witness giving evidence in criminal courts in England and Wales - both for the prosecution and the defence. Our trained staff and volunteers help people understand what to expect before, during and after a trial, and offer practical and emotional support every step of the way, so witnesses can give their best evidence. The Witness Service also supports bereaved family members, friends and family who are accompanying witnesses in court.

Main Purpose and Scope of the Job:
The focus of this role is on reduction of risk and minimising impact of domestic abuse by providing support, advice and assistance to adults and any children living within Stop Domestic Abuse’s dispersed accommodation who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.
Dispersed accommodation is safe, self-contained accommodation with a similar level of specialist domestic abuse support as provided within our refuges but which may be more suitable for victims-survivors who are unable to stay in a refuge with communal spaces, and/or where peer support from other residents may not be appropriate. This may include: women with male children over 16, male victims-survivors, including men with children, LGBTQ+ victims-survivors, older adults, victims-survivors with disabilities, victims-survivors facing multiple disadvantages and victims-survivors with pets
To provide safety planning, support, advice, and assistance all adults, children those living within dispersed accommodation.
The post-holder will work to empower and support all victims and survivors of domestic abuse to make positive choices.
To participate in the delivery of the on-call out of hours on a rota basis.

Role Description
The Family Matters team provides emotional support, information, and guidance to the families (e.g. partners, parents, adult children, grandparents) of those under investigation for online child sexual abuse offences.
They are often the hidden victims of crime, facing multiple problems and isolated from sources of help and support. This role provides one to one support to family members over the phone, supporting clients with attending Court hearings, liaising with relevant professionals, and advocating for clients where necessary.
Responsibilities:
- To work as a member of the Family Matters Team to deliver outcomes for the Family Matters Programme as agreed with The National Lottery Community Fund.
- To provide information and Trauma informed support at a time of crisis to service users.
- To manage a caseload of complex adult client cases, providing client centred, practical and emotional support.
- To conduct risk assessments / case management.
- To offer information and support to family members regarding the Criminal Justice process during investigation, court hearings, sentencing and beyond.
- To help family members remain informed regarding Child in Need and Child Protection processes.

The role
We are looking for an energetic, organised and enthusiastic Corporate Development Officer to join our ambitious Fundraising team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in corporate fundraising or B2B account management who is confident building strong, long-term partnerships.
You will play a key role in growing our corporate income by stewarding existing relationships and cultivating new ones. Working closely with the Partnerships Manager and Deputy Head of Fundraising, you’ll help the organisation prepare for significant planned growth and an upcoming capital appeal.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver against corporate income targets in line with our fundraising strategy.
- Identify, cultivate and secure new corporate partnerships, including Charity of the Year opportunities, sponsorships and corporate fundraising campaigns.
- Steward existing corporate supporters with high-quality engagement, communication and reporting.
- Prepare compelling proposals, pitch materials and partnership agreements.
- Plan and manage corporate supporter engagement opportunities including meetings, volunteering days and events.
- Maximise corporate volunteering and pro bono opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records using our CRM system.
- Contribute to industry insight by monitoring trends, opportunities and sector developments.
- Attend meetings, pitches, events and occasional evening/weekend activities (TOIL provided).
About you
Essential Experience & Skills
- At least 1 year in fundraising or B2B account management.
- Ability to build strong, positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience working to income targets and managing pipelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report and proposal writing.
- Good negotiation, influencing, and presentation abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in corporate fundraising.
- Experience developing pitches and securing COTY partnerships.
- Understanding of disability issues.
- Awareness of corporate fundraising legislation and practice.

- Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours.

About the FCLP
upReach is recruiting for our unique Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP). This is a great opportunity for anyone who is passionate about social mobility, and looking to gain exposure to various aspects of charity management whilst working with university students who are exploring their career options. We welcome applications from those in the corporate world who are looking for a career change as well as recent graduates wanting to kick-start their career in the third sector.
upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP) combines delivery work (supporting our Associates) with exposure to a range of aspects of charity management.
As a Programme Coordinator on the FCLP, you will deliver personalised, employment-focused support to a cohort of approximately 80 Associates, helping to transform their lives by equipping them with the necessary skills to secure a top graduate job. During a typical week, you should expect to be working across a range of projects including:

You will also be able to choose your own practitioner to support you in 1:1 sessions throughout the programme to help you unlock more of your unique potential.
What will I be doing?
The FCLP is a fast-paced but rewarding role. Programme Coordinators spend 80% of their time (4 days per week) working directly with Associates to enhance their career knowledge and skills and 20% (1 day per week) on a charity management rotation (or an apprenticeship after 18 months). No two days are the same, but your responsibilities may include:

Assisting Associates with their applications to undergraduate positions and graduate jobs
