Senior Trust & Grant Fundraiser

Salary: up to £33,000

Permanent full time post (part time considered for right candidate)

Location: Hybrid working with part of week spent at one of our offices: Shipley, Harrogate or Skipton

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Trust & Grant Fundraiser to lead and grow our charitable income from trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a key strategic role in securing sustainable funding, both restricted and unrestricted, that enables Carers’ Resource to enhance, expand and support our existing services and allows us to invest in organisational infrastructure, website and digital technology.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of personally securing at least £200,000 per annum in trust and grant income and will be confident developing compelling funding applications, building long-term funder relationships, and identifying new income opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled fundraiser who is passionate about making a difference and wants to contribute to the growth and impact of a respected regional charity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a trust and grants fundraising strategy aligned with organisational priorities.
• Research and identify suitable trust, foundation and statutory funding opportunities.
• Prepare high-quality, persuasive funding applications, proposals and expressions of interest.
• Secure a minimum of £200,000 per annum in trust and grant income.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, partners and stakeholders.
• Manage the full grant cycle including applications, monitoring, reporting and stewardship.
• Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop funding priorities and project budgets.
• Collaborate with operational teams to gather impact data, case studies and outcomes.
• Maintain an accurate pipeline and reporting system for funding applications and deadlines.
• Produce timely and accurate reports for funders demonstrating impact and outcomes.
• Monitor fundraising trends, sector developments and funding opportunities relevant to carers and community services.
• Support the development of partnership and collaborative funding bids where appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice.

Person Specification

Essential

• Demonstrable success in securing trust and grant funding, including a proven track record of personally generating at least £200,000 annually.
• At least 3 years experience of writing successful funding applications to trusts, foundations and statutory funders.
• Excellent written communication and bid-writing skills.
• Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple funding applications and deadlines effectively.
• Experience of developing fundraising pipelines and income strategies.
• Strong analytical and budgeting skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Passion for supporting carers, vulnerable people and local communities.
• Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.

Desirable

• Experience working within the charity, health or social care sector.
• Knowledge of issues affecting unpaid carers and vulnerable communities.
• Experience of reporting to senior leadership teams and trustees.
• Understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.

Charity People is delighted to be partnering with Into Film to recruit for their next Social Media Officer.

Into Film is the UK's leading charity for film in education and the community, providing screen industry careers information and advice, supporting young filmmakers, and bringing the power of moving image storytelling into classroom teaching.

Social Media Officer

Contract: Permanent position
Salary: £30,400 per annum
Location: Hybrid role with minimum one day per week based at the charity office in either London, Cardiff, Belfast, Edinburgh and Salford
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Lead on planning, creation and execution of content and campaigns for all Into Film social media channels, to include editorial content, case studies and photography
• Work closely with the Heads of Programmes and the Head of Marketing and Communications to promote Into Film's offer to educators across Into Film social media channels
• Support with development and implementation of Into Film's social strategy in accordance with strategic objectives, including development of new educator-facing channels where required
• Work to ensure all digital content adheres to organisational brand guidelines, tone of voice and accessibility standards
• Develop relationships and liaise with internal teams and external partners to gather content, case studies and user stories for digital channels, as well as key social education influencers
• Manage all responses to content posted to Into Film social media channels, ensuring timely replies and issue escalation
• Manage paid advertising across Into Film social media channels, including scheduling, budget tracking and reporting
• Implement and manage agreed mechanisms for monitoring and evaluation, gathering analytics and reporting across Into Film social media channels for internal reports, including to the Executive team and the Board
• Support colleagues to manage regional social media account
• Manage photography for the organisation
• Contribute editorial content for the Into Film website, planning and creating engaging, SEO-optimised copy

Key experience and skills we're looking for is as follows:

• Experience of managing corporate-facing social media channels, including planning, monitoring and evaluation
• Excellent understanding of social media engagement and how to optimise content for a target audience.
• Experience of creating visual and moving image content tailored for a particular audience, preferably with experience of design software such as Canva
• Experience of using social media management tools to schedule activity and manage reporting
• Knowledge of social media metrics and how to use them in reporting
• Experience in paid targeted social media advertising
• Experience in growing an audience on social media channels for a corporate audience
• Experience in meeting deadlines and being able to respond effectively to social media requests
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.

The Follicular Lymphoma Foundation (FLF) is partnering with Robertson Bell on a retained basis to appoint a Head of Finance on a permanent basis. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity within an ambitious, globally focused organisation working to accelerate a cure for follicular lymphoma - and to do it fast.

Founded in 2019, FLF is the first charity in the world dedicated solely to curing follicular lymphoma, an incurable blood cancer affecting more than 1.5 million people globally. Reporting directly to the Global CEO and working closely with Trustees, Board Members and senior stakeholders, the Head of Finance will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, strengthening operational maturity and supporting international growth.

The role:
• Lead the development of FLF’s long-term financial strategy, supporting growth and international expansion.
• Partner with the Global CEO, Trustees and leadership team, providing financial insight to support decision-making, programme investment and fundraising activity.
• Oversee financial management across multiple international entities, ensuring robust controls, governance and compliance.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling processes.
• Support grant funding, restricted income management and pharma partnership activity.
• Oversee management accounts, statutory reporting, audits and regulatory submissions across UK and US operations.
• Drive improvements in systems, reporting and operational efficiency.
• Provide leadership and development support to the Finance and Operations Officer.
• Act as a trusted advisor across the organisation, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on delivery.
• Present financial information clearly to Boards and non-finance stakeholders.

Essential criteria:
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.

• Experience operating across complex stakeholder environments, with the confidence to influence senior leaders and Boards.
• Strong understanding of governance, controls, compliance and risk management.
• Hands-on and adaptable approach, comfortable operating strategically while remaining close to operational detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience across multiple entities, funding streams or international operations would be advantageous.
