Age UK Wandsworth is a local, independent charity that works to promote the wellbeing of all older people in the London Borough of Wandsworth. We offer a variety of services with the goal of helping older people to age well in Wandsworth.
Our charity is growing and we are now seeking a calm, professional and organised Finance Assistant for our Head Office to help our small team become even more efficient in serving older residents in the borough.

Who We Are
The 999 Club has stood on the corner of Deptford Broadway for more than 30 years, working with and supporting the local community. Our focus now is on people who are street homeless, rough sleeping or unhoused and those who have no recourse to public funds.
The Gateway is open five days a week and provides a welcoming, safe and friendly space where our members can spend time away from their usual situation and sort out practicalities like getting laundry done, taking a shower, charging their phone and having something to eat.
The Team
Exactly as it says on the tin, the Essential Services Team was set up to deliver essential services and we’re really excited to be restructuring the team. Whilst our Intervention Team works with members to figure out their next steps around housing etc. the Essential Services Team work to make sure that everything is in place we all get to spend time in clean, safe, friendly surroundings.
Working alongside an amazing team of volunteers the Essential Services Team provide it all, hospitality to housekeeping and everything in between. From welcoming members at reception to helping out with laundry, to making sure the place is clean and comfortable and well maintained, that we have enough of everything, that all the admin is taken care of and and that there’s something nutritious for lunch, the Essential Services Team are at the centre of everything we do – effectively, they are the engine that keeps the 999 Club running.

We’re looking for people who like people, who care about doing a good job and want to be part of a dynamic team, creating the best environment and providing the best service possible. We want team members with common sense, who are assertive, compassionate, have a sense of humour, a flair for hospitality and a no- nonsense, positive attitude looking to make a difference in their community.
This vacancy provides a development opportunity so we are inviting applications from people who already volunteer with us or have done so in the past.
Good to Know
Based mostly in the Gateway, a busy and occasionally unpredictable environment

The hours are 08:45am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

London Landmarks Half Marathon Event Assistant
The London Landmarks Half Marathon is looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Event Assistant to be on the frontline of participant support, helping ensure every runner has the best possible experience. It’s an exciting time to join the team as we look ahead to our 10th anniversary event in 2027.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and delivering excellent customer service. You’ll be the first point of contact for participant queries across email and phone, providing clear, friendly and timely support, and making sure every interaction is handled with care and accuracy.
Alongside this, you’ll support website updates, maintain accurate information across systems, and help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly. You’ll also contribute to community engagement and event delivery, including supporting the coordination of performers and musicians, assisting with our volunteer programme, and helping deliver a smooth and engaging race weekend.
We’re looking for someone calm under pressure, detail-focused and proactive, someone who can juggle multiple tasks, adapt quickly and keep things moving in a fast-paced environment.

About the role
As a second line IT support engineer, you’ll be the go-to contact for IT queries and incidents, supporting staff across the UK. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service while resolving issues across technologies like Microsoft 365, windows, macOS, active directory, Azure, mobile platforms, and video conferencing tools.
You’ll manage, triage and escalate service tickets, manage with onboarding and offboarding staff, provide remote and in-person support, and maintain up-to-date documentation and asset records. You'll also have the opportunity to support our key events, liaise with third-party suppliers, and contribute to improving our internal IT processes.
This is a hands-on and varied role ideal for someone with foundational IT experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking to deepen their technical expertise while delivering high-quality customer service.
About you
You’ll have demonstrable skills and experience working in an IT Support role at first or second line. As a key member of our IT team, you’ll be an active team player with the ability to engage with the people who use our IT systems. You’ll have sound problem-solving skills and be thorough in your approach with an excellent eye for detail.
Highly organised, you’ll be able to manage your time and priorities well and be capable of leading on small and medium project and playing a significant role in larger ones. You’ll have a proactive approach to continual improvement.
You’ll be able to troubleshoot a range of technical issues in a logical and professional way, resolving incidents and problems efficiently while providing high-quality user support.
You’ll have a working knowledge of supporting Microsoft 365 applications, windows and mac operating systems, Microsoft 365 Admin, Azure, active directory, and remote support tools.
Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will help you explain technical concepts to non-technical users and deliver clear, professional written communication in tickets, guides, and user documentation.
You’ll thrive working both independently and collaboratively, with a willingness to travel to other offices or events occasionally and to adapt to changing priorities.

Location, hybrid working and salary range
This role is primarily based in our London office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.
The salary range is:
£31,700 to £33,000 per annum London based
