We are particularly looking for a digital media expert with a passion for paid marketing, who has experience in developing paid digital media strategy and managing advertising accounts across Meta, Google Ads, and Microsoft. The Administrator will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of the NVN’s operations. Working closely with the General Manager, they will manage day-to-day administration, membership communications, events logistics, and financial record-keeping.

Key Responsibilities:
Administration and Coordination

Finance and Record-Keeping
- Support basic financial administration including invoicing, payments, and expense tracking.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records in coordination with the General Manager and Treasurer.

MAIN ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role works as part of a small and dynamic Communications & Digital team and has direct line management of our Comms & PR Officer. You will focus on gaining media coverage for our international programmes, understanding the issues and opportunities of our work and securing impactful media interviews. You will support our fundraising campaigns and events with media engagement.

There may be occasional opportunities to travel to countries where ShelterBox works for media purposes. This travel is not mandatory. There will be regular travel to the Truro head office to support media interviews, deliver training, and participate in organisational collaboration days.

PR & Comms Lead
- Manage a variety of communications and PR activities to raise awareness of the needs of people who have lost their homes to disaster.
- Produce a range of high-quality written materials for different audiences.
- Develop strong working relationships with people across the organisation, including in our international programmes and fundraising teams.
- Take a proactive approach to media engagement and communications as our PR and communications subject-matter expert.

Media Engagement

- Prepare and use a variety of effective PR tools, including press releases, quotes, features, blogs and photo opportunities.

Communications
- Produce high-quality written materials, including messaging, Q&As, and reports, ensuring consistency with brand and tone of voice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across social media, website, celebrity, brand, content, and fundraising) to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Support reputation management, lead crisis communications activities, and play an active role in the Crisis Management Team.
- Offer creative ideas and planning for communications campaigns.
- Coordinate and, when required, manage external agencies and consultants.
- Evaluate PR and communications activity to measure success and improve future performance.
- Manage subscriptions and licences for communications tools, including media monitoring platforms, and liaise with procurement on tender processes when required.

The Role
A highly valued role in the Secretariat Team has become available due to the portfolio growth of the existing postholder.
This is an important role which combines high quality General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) advice and collegiate support, policy and practice development and hands-on case management, such as undertaking Subject Access Requests (SARs).
You will directly support staff, including training and response to queries and proactive advice and support to area teams (bishops, archdeacons and their teams) and parishes. The Active Recovery Project gives adult survivors of abuse the opportunity to take part in community-based activities. Members of Active Recovery can participate in a variety of group activities with others who share or understand their experience and develop peer relationships, resulting in increasing confidence and reduced isolation. The activities are based on ideas from our members and include water-based activities (such as rowing, canoeing, sailing and kayaking), surfing, trips to community spaces and creative sessions (such as arts and crafts). Activities take place every week. Each activity will last approximately 2.5 hours each. Members can attend the group sessions for up to 18 months.
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a warm and passionate leader to come and join the Active Recovery Service.
As an Active Recovery Lead, their job will be to develop and deliver the Active Recovery Project in Bristol and in Somerset. Using a trauma-informed approach, the Active Recovery Lead will create and provide a safe and supportive space for clients from The Sexual Violence Alliance organisations (The Southmead Project, SARSAS, Womankind and the Bridge Sarc) to participate in a variety of group activities, with others who share or understand their experience and develop peer relationships, resulting in increasing confidence and reduced isolation.
Principal Tasks:

Run two Active Recovery groups a week, with , with the help of the Practitioner.

Provide initial trauma-informed assessment phone calls and/or meetings with potential members as part of the registration process for Active Recovery. This includes assessing need, risk and suitability for the service using a trauma-informed approach.

Create safety plans and tailor activity sessions where appropriate after building relationships with members following the initial phone calls.

Plan trauma-informed sessions for members, including producing risk assessments for each activity, visiting activity locations and delivering relevant trauma training to activity providers.

Oversee and lead on setting up, delivering and debriefing about activity sessions with members, volunteers and staff. Ensuring members are clear on each session's ground rules and safeguarding processes, using the Member’s Agreement.
