The Role;
The Trusts Fundraising Manager plays a key role in securing voluntary income for Kisharon Langdon by leading the development and delivery of a strategic trusts and foundations programme, with responsibility for achieving significant income targets and supporting the organisation’s long-term growth. The role involves proactively shaping and managing a high-value funding pipeline, using insight, planning, and data to drive sustainable income and maximise opportunities across the portfolio.
The post-holder will take ownership of relationships with a portfolio of funders, developing tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies aligned to funder priorities, while also identifying and securing new funding opportunities. They will bring a strong, proactive approach to prospecting and pipeline development, ensuring a balanced mix of short- and long-term funding.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Trusts Fundraising Manager will lead on the development of compelling, high-quality funding applications and reports, drawing on strong impact evidence and strategic narratives, while supporting continuous improvement in success rates and income growth. They will work closely with and provide informal support to the Trust Fundraiser
Key Responsibilities;
- Develop and deliver a clear trusts and foundations strategy to maximise income and support organisational growth.
- Build, manage and continuously strengthen a high-value funding pipeline, balancing short-term income and long-term opportunities.
- Manage a portfolio of trusts and foundations, leading on cultivation, solicitation and stewardship to secure significant grants and meet agreed income targets.
- Prepare and submit high-quality, compelling funding applications and reports, tailored to funder priorities and deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective funders, developing appropriate cultivation and stewardship plans.
- Act as a key ambassador for the organisation, including attending meetings, events and funder visits where required.
- Work closely with colleagues across services and departments to gather compelling evidence, data and case studies.
About You;
- Minimum 2 years proven successful experience in applications to charitable trusts and foundations.
- An ability to write engaging and persuasive funding applications and proposals to the highest standard.
- Strong IT skills including sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication skills both in written work and verbal communication.
- Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
- Able to record and monitor income performance and report accurately to others.
- Researching and gathering data and evidence to inform funding proposals and to report on impact and outcomes.

The Head of Delivery & Partnerships is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the
successful implementation, quality of outcomes, and retention of DFN Project SEARCH programmes
across the UK, the Republic of Ireland and Iberia, in line with our franchise agreement from Project
SEARCH . This role leads the Delivery & Partnerships team, ensuring strategic alignment, excellence
of delivery, and sustained impactful partnerships.
You will play a pivotal role in driving programme quality, ensuring retention, maintaining model
fidelity, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for interns. Additionally, you will oversee the growth of
our number of programmes, in line with our strategic regional and national plans. You will also
contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation, working closely with cross-functional teams
to maximise DFN Project SEARCH’s impact.
Regular travel throughout the UK will be required, with occasional travel to other areas of our delivery.
In addition, occasional international travel may be required, for example to the annual conference in
the United States.
Essential Experience and Skills

PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role is responsible for the service delivery of an effective, high quality, person centred support service to residents with a background of rough sleeping and range of medium to high needs. These includes entrenched drug and/or alcohol issues, mental health diagnosis and a range of offending backgrounds.
They will be the principal providers of support to residents in the Harbour Project team and will also work alongside Assistant Support Workers, to promote resident engagement through the development of positive relationships with our residents and contributing towards the promotion of a fulfilling, safe and inclusive environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
To be responsible to the Team Manager for the day-to-day delivery of the Harbour Project Team.
Use motivational and asset based interviewing techniques to interview, assess and create support plans and risk assessments that address the needs of residents.
Take a positive, trauma-informed approach to working with residents with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
Conduct regular reviews of support plans and risk assessments as required.
Take a pro-active approach in multi-disciplinary support required for residents.
Work within a Psychologically Informed Environment approach and strive to meet targets and deliver results.
Ensure a high standard of customer service is upheld
To attend team meetings and take part in service policy and planning.
To participate in team meetings, team review days and other meetings as agreed with the Team Manager.
To keep abreast of current housing legislation, welfare benefit legislations and other matters relevant to successful support and move on of residents.
To respond and process all referrals made to the Complex Needs service and ensure those accessing the service meet the service eligibility criteria.

Experience
A demonstrable level of experience and understanding of the range of approaches appropriate to working with challenging behaviour including current drug /or alcohol use, antisocial behaviour, offending, substance misuse and complex needs
Experience of working with clients in a trauma-informed way with proven effectiveness
Demonstrate an understanding of statutory compliances and standards such health and safety, equal opportunities, data protection, particularly within a residential setting.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Ability to develop good working relationships and rapport with residents and stakeholders.
Using motivational interview techniques to produce and approach referrals, needs and risk assessments and support planning in a SMART manner
Knowledge of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE).
Demonstrable experience within local authority, voluntary, independent, charity or social housing sector

About the role
We are seeking to appoint someone on a fixed term contract to the end of December 2027, to join our Grants Team in delivering The Ideas Fund, an exciting programme which looks to connect communities with researchers in order to develop and try out ideas related to mental wellbeing. The Fund is delivered in four areas of the UK – Oldham, Hull, the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, and North West Northern Ireland, although this role can be remote, based anywhere in the UK.
With support from the Head of Grants, we expect that you will have lead responsibility for grant management across these areas, building strong relationships with our Development Co-ordinators and contributing to the successful delivery of the overall programme.
You will oversee the support for grant holders to learn from what is working and feed this learning into our overall approach with the Fund, as well as sharing insights externally. It’s an exciting time for the Fund as we work to build partnerships with others who are interested in community-led approaches to working with research and researchers. You will work with our existing Grants & Learning Manager to ensure that our due diligence and grant reporting requirements are met, responding flexibly and creatively to issues that arise. Importantly, you will consistently focus on how our learning can influence long term change in funding and research practice.
As noted in the job description, we also expect this role to include supporting the Head of Grants with developing the BSA’s strategy around future grants programmes. This may include working across funding programmes other than The Ideas Fund as they are developed and funding secured.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Grants and our existing Grants and Learning Manager to continue to deliver an innovative programme that constantly evolves based on what we learn.
- Ensure excellent grant-making using relational, flexible and participatory approaches with high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Champion innovation in supporting community/researcher collaboration, community-led research, systems change and grant making across relevant sectors including:
- Developing and delivering strategies for sharing learning, practice and ideas with a broad range of stakeholders through a range of approaches
- Representing the British Science Association at external events to share innovation and learning
- Developing and delivering events and/or content to showcase practice and share learning with a broad range of stakeholders using a range of approaches
- Support the implementation of our learning and evaluation strategies and processes, reviewing and refining as needed. Manage relationships and/or contracts with learning partners where appropriate
- Oversee the smooth delivery of the programme, including budget management, payment processing, due diligence activity etc.
- Support local Development Co-ordinators to:
- Work with grant holders, collaborating researchers and project partners to overcome challenges they might face in delivering their projects
- Collate and share local learning as part of wider learning strategies
- Develop and manage a small pipeline of discretionary grants to add value to the portfolio and/or make systemic impact at local or national level, if necessary. Develop bespoke application and grant management and learning processes as appropriate
- Engage a network of key existing stakeholders, and build further external relationships, to ensure successful delivery of the programme
- Support the Head of Grants with developing the BSA’s strategy around future grants programmes. In addition, the post-holder will be expected to:
- Support colleagues across the organisation, especially at busy times or on specific areas of expertise

About you
The Grants & Learning Manager role would suit someone who has strong stakeholder management skills and experience in curating and sharing learning. Good attention to detail, experience of grant-making, and an understanding of the benefits and risks involved in delivering innovative grant-making approaches would all be beneficial.
The role would suit someone who is comfortable using their judgement and working with an evolving programme, and who can confidently communicate with a variety of stakeholders. We are particularly interested to hear from people who have experience in supporting and influencing wider systems change.
Your experience in terms of the person specification could come from either a personal or professional background. You may not have experience of everything listed in the person specification, but will be open to challenging yourself and developing in the role.

About the role
As a Trainee Multi‑Disciplinary Advocate, you will work across 2 of our local Advocacy Teams. The first Team has a fixed base at Langdon Secure Hospital on Exeter Road in Dawlish. The second Team works remotely across Devon & Torbay as part of the Devon Advocacy Consortium (DAC) whose headquarters are based in Exeter. You’ll support people with a wide range of needs — including mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and physical or sensory disabilities — to express their wishes, understand their rights, and be part of decisions that affect their lives.
You don’t need previous advocacy experience.
What you do need is compassion, commitment, and a willingness to learn.
We’ll support you through:
- Full enrolment onto the Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice qualification
- Protected study time
- Shadowing, observation, supervision and ongoing training
- Gradual progression to holding your own caseload
- Development in instructed and non‑instructed advocacy approaches
Once qualified, you’ll move into a full Multi‑Disciplinary Advocate role.

This is an opportunity to join our dynamic team in delivering Independent Professional Advocacy across our projects in Gwynedd and Anglesey. We can offer up to 37 hours per week but are willing to be flexible as we are seking a number of candidates. .

We currently have a rare and exciting opportunity available for a Stock Controller and Administrator to join our team at the Garden Centre. As part of this role you will be responsible is assisting with the successful day to day running of the garden centre by processing orders, serving customers, stock control, and being able to liaise with external company representatives.
This role requires a very practical & hands on approach. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer services, serving on the till, creating / receiving purchase orders, stock taking, being able to liaise with Suppliers and external company representatives and using our EPOS system.
Previous horticultural knowledge is essential within a similar setting.
You will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to adapt to lots of different situations and roles within your normal day. You will be required to work as part of a 2-week rolling rota but understand that during busy seasonal times you may need to be flexible.
