About the role

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, with shifts over seven days.

Key responsibilities of the role:
- Design and create personalised and inclusive activities and experiences for our residents, giving them the support they need to regain and maintain daily living skills
- Support the team so they can deliver person-centred services and social activity plans
- Schedule rotas, lead and support the team with the delivery of varied programmes while recording assessment, monitoring and evaluation data
- Mentor and act as a role model to team members and volunteers. Assisting with the induction and ongoing development of the team.

About the role:

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
The main purpose of this role is to empower a caseload of service users to manage their health and wellbeing, maintain their independence, identify their strengths and achieve their goals and aspirations, under the direction of the Service Manager. This is a 24/7 service and will require you to complete sleep in shifts as well as cooking for service users at the weekends as well. This can result in longer but few days worked but you will on average only work 39 hours per week.

In this role, you will bring experience of working with individuals who have mental health needs and dual diagnosis, gained in either paid or voluntary settings. You will take a solution-focused approach, working constructively and collaboratively to address challenges, while using de-escalation skills to support clients who may display difficult or challenging behaviour.
You will also demonstrate flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work unsociable hours, including early, late, overnight and weekend shifts as required by the rota. You will be quick to learn, able to gather and process information effectively, make defensible decisions, and record detailed and accurate information to be shared appropriately within the framework of confidentiality. Most importantly, you will show a strong understanding of safeguarding, ensuring that issues are identified and addressed promptly to maintain the safety and wellbeing of service users at all times.

About the Role:
The Nightstop Coordinator role is busy and varied role, it involves working with young people from when they approach the service to when they find longer term accommodation. You will be responsible for being the first point of contact for all young people, assessing each young person’s needs and risks, finding short and long term housing options, organising the logistics of each Nightstop placement and making sure that each Nightstop placement is safe.

You will be joining us at an exciting time as we set up our new RNID Near You service in Somerset working alongside our current RNID Near You in care homes service, Somerst Foundation Trusts Audiology team, and RNID’s Health Programme to develop and deliver a new self-referral pathway and wraparound service in the Somerset Foundation Trust area. As a Co-ordinator, you will focus on developing and delivering our volunteer lead community service across the Somerset area through sessions in community settings. The service will offer:
