We are looking for a new senior fundraiser to join our energetic team to raise major gifts for a range of posts, scholarships and other priorities across the Humanities. About the Role
This fundraiser will work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division. The post will focus primarily on funding for posts, scholarships and access and outreach in the academic faculties as well as securing support for the activities of the Cultural Programme and Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. An interest and appreciation for the arts and humanities is essential.

We are working in partnership with Hampshire Cultural Trust (HCT), who were established as an independent charity in 2014. HCT operate visitor attractions, galleries, museums, and arts centres across Hampshire, and are responsible for conserving and maintaining one of the largest and most significant regional collections of historical artefacts in the country. HCT are now seeking to appoint a Director of Development to lead and deliver a trust-wide strategic approach to fundraising, in alignment with organisational needs and priorities. The director will develop and lead a high performing team and will be responsible for growing income from a range of sources, including trusts and grants, individual giving and developing a philanthropy programme based on a portfolio of designated funds to support strategic projects and ongoing revenue funding. As Head of Corporate Partnerships, you will be responsible for maximising sponsorship and philanthropic income from the corporate sector. You will work strategically - both individually and through your team - to secure major sponsorships and donations, optimise the Corporate Membership scheme, and attract in-kind support. You will meet agreed targets and operate effectively within a demanding environment involving multiple stakeholders. You will bring a sound understanding of corporate sponsorship and have extensive experience of fundraising for a major cultural institution, university, or charity, or of working in a comparable sales or target-driven relationship management context. This position is situated within a small team of five information professionals who work closely together to embed professional best practice and deliver a high standard of service to internal and external audiences.
Who We Need
We are looking for someone who will support the Archivist, Records and Data Protection Manager to successfully manage the demands of a busy and growing repository.
You will assist with the everyday work of a small specialist archive including, in particular, reducing the cataloguing backlog and helping ensure that all archive collections held at PMC have been appraised, catalogued and are accessible to interested audiences. You will help assess offers and liaise with donors regarding the acquisition of new material. You will assist with the promotion of the archive collections, supporting the Centre’s commitment to audience reach and fulfilment. You will have specific responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Public Study Room and copying service. You will work to embed best practice across all areas with a view to securing Archive Accreditation.
This role would suit an experienced professional who embraces all aspects of core archival work, thrives on juggling competing demands but also relishes seeing projects through to completion. The PMC is an educational charity that champions new ways of understanding British art history and culture. We publish, teach and carry out research, both in London at the Centre and through our online platforms. Through all areas of our work, we promote activities that enhance and expand knowledge about British art.
