About the roles:

Camden’s Integrated Drug and Alcohol service is offering an incredible opportunity for individuals with lived experience of homelessness and/or substance use to join a pioneering team supporting others in their recovery journey. With one year of funding secured, we are seeking two passionate and dynamic individuals to take on specialist roles, based at both treatment sites and within Camden hostels. These roles will also involve working alongside the In-reach team and the Specialist Women’s team, allowing you to make a tangible impact on the lives of clients by helping to shape and enhance services for those who need them most. You will be a familiar, trusted face, guiding clients through their recovery journey, empowering them to access treatment and overcome barriers, while contributing your own insights to ensure services are truly supportive and accessible.

In these roles, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in trauma informed interventions, working alongside expert practitioners to transform how clients experience treatment. To do this we are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to provide a range of financial support duties and administer the organisation’s general ledger and finance system.

As Senior Policy Officer you will be part of the Patient Advocacy team who work to ensure that the patient voice is heard and acted upon by UK and devolved nations healthcare policy decision makers. Purpose of the role

· Be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of operations & programmes, overseeing and directing interconnected projects ensuring consistency in programme and project work.

· For 2025/26 this will focus on the roll out of our Information, Advice & Guidance programmes and extended brief intervention programmes to the public via digital tools to a mass audience and to underserved groups.

· The post holder will be required to manage a small dedicated team ensuring that robust project plans, clear goals, timelines and resources are established and managed as well dependencies within and between projects.

· Act as a Safeguarding Officer ensuring safeguarding is embedded within all programme delivery.

The Finance Officer will join a small and dynamic team that covers Finance, Human Resources, IT and Business Operations. The Finance & Operations team play a critical role by running the day-to-day operations and providing the infrastructure that enables the continued delivery of the Trust’s mission and objectives.

The Sutton Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance Officer to join the team and provide crucial support on a range of key finance processes. The Team

This role will fit into the small Finance & Operations team and will be line managed by the Finance Manager.

Main Duties

• Maintaining the Purchase Ledger including processing supplier invoices, staff expense claims, grant and bursary payments, reconciling statements and making the relevant payments
• Maintaining the Sales Ledger including raising invoices and allocating receipts
• Cash management including checking bank transactions daily, allocating transactions on the accounting system and producing regular bank reconciliations. Paying in cheques and reconciling floats, if required
• Maintaining accurate records of both unrestricted and restricted fund transactions including receipts, grants, staff expenses, overheads and cash
• Providing timely and accurate financial support to the Programmes, Development and Research teams to assist them with forecasting, budgeting, reconciliation and (donor) reporting
• Supporting with the month end procedures such as balance sheet reconciliations, depreciation, month end adjustments, salary and overhead allocations
• Gathering monthly payroll information and reviewing monthly payroll reports

About the role

This role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting those who struggle with complex needs, substance use, and dual diagnosis. We are looking for someone who can work flexibly to support residents and participants who struggle to engage with the support available to them through various providers. You will be at the heart of engaging our participants to regain motivation and the strength to step down from acute psychiatric wards and other supported living, by empowering them with the relevant skills and knowledge to support their journey. You will support them towards achieving their personal goals including independent living. You will be based across various homes, hospitals, wards, and supported living accommodations based around Lewisham.

You will provide pathways, support, and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements, and deliver to achieve more safer, integrated communities for our stakeholders. The areas of support will include: Prevention, Transition, Activities of Daily Living (ADL), Support, and Social Inclusion. 

This role will work alongside South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLAM) who provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. They also provide substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol with 4,600 staff serving a local population of 1.3 million people.

• Support a caseload of participants, contribute to the development of support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
• Positively promote the pathways available towards independent living within the community. Ensure participants understand what tools and resources are available to them to regain independence.
• Participate in, and encourage R&Ps to participate in the running and development of projects, initiatives, training and volunteering.
• Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.
