Therapeutic Management

• To manage and support a staff team, including the Head of Active Recovery, a Counselling Lead, Nexus Counselling Manager, a Family Support Group Facilitator, and administrators.

• To oversee all of the charity’s therapeutic services and ensure that efficient and high-quality services are delivered.

• To be the charity’s Designated Safeguarding Lead to respond effectively and efficiently to safeguarding concerns.

• To ensure staff are sufficiently trained in adult and child safeguarding and that training records are kept up-to-date.

• To oversee the charity’s pre-trial therapy processes and be a point of contact for the police.

• To develop and improve the charity’s therapeutic services, including any expansion of the services.

• To manage therapeutic recruitment, inductions and training.

• To hold monthly staff meetings and service team meetings when needed.

• To oversee the individual and group supervision arrangements and reporting for all staff. 

• To manage and have overall responsibility for the ongoing use of an online Case Management System, ensuring that data is inputted accurately for reporting purposes.

• To support the charity’s quality assurance and development of its services through monitoring  and responding to client feedback and outcomes data.

• To develop the charity’s survivor voice work and ensure that the charity’s services are informed by survivors and their lived experience.

Leadership

• To work collaboratively as part of a Leadership Team to make decisions and resolve issues affecting the day-to-day running of the charity and management of its staff team.

• To strategically plan and develop the therapeutic services of the charity.

• To develop relationships with partner agencies and professionals to raise awareness of our therapeutic services and strengthen our work.

• To build and maintain a positive working relationship with the Board of Trustees.

• To attend and contribute to trustee meetings and trustee working group meetings, reporting on the therapeutic services and any clinical matters arising. 

• To assist in promoting the charity by attending all relevant meetings directly connected with your work.

• To undertake any other duties appropriate to the needs of the charity.

Client Work

• To provide one-to-one counselling for survivors of abuse of all genders, both online / by phone and face-to-face, with a caseload of approximately 4 clients. 

• To maintain confidential and accurate counselling notes of all sessions.

• To attend monthly one-to-one clinical supervision with a supervisor approved by the Southmead Project. (Supervision is a requirement of this charity as members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).

• To attend monthly one-to-one line management meetings.

• To work to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy ethical guidelines.

• To work within the framework, spirit and ethos of the Southmead Project’s Equal Opportunities Policy, and actively engage in promoting the policy within the charity and in all dealings with clients and other agencies.

• All members of staff, paid and unpaid, are required to undergo the enhanced level of Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Person Specification

ESSENTIAL:

• Diploma in Counselling (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited course or equivalent); and to have BACP accreditation or be working towards BACP accreditation or equivalent.

• To be a registered member of BACP, UKCP, NCS or equivalent professional body, with over 5 years of supervised counselling experience.

• Significant experience of providing one-to-one counselling for survivors of abuse and carrying out initial assessments and risk assessments.

• Significant knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting this client group and the impact of trauma.

• Significant line management and appraisal experience with the ability to effectively co-ordinate a team. 

• The ability to support staff to foster a positive working environment and deliver a high quality of service.

• Experience of recruiting staff, including inductions and training.

• Experience of managing safeguarding concerns and supporting others to act in accordance with safeguarding policies and in the best interests of the client or those at risk. 

• The ability to work with clients online or by phone.

• Experience of working collaboratively as part of a leadership team and ability to contribute to an organisation’s future development.

• Experience of developing and maintaining working relationships with partner agencies and professionals. 

• Excellent organisational and planning skills.

• Excellent IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to confidently use and support others with an online Case Management System.

DESIRABLE:

• Training in trauma processing approaches, such as EMDR, Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET),  brainspotting, trauma-focused CBT, and Rewind Technique.

• Experience of running therapeutic groups.

We are wanting to recruit a motivated and experienced support and recovery worker to support homeless and vulnerable guests at our daily drop-in, and in Hope House - our 4 bed supported house 

Responsibilities

Our support workers both work with guests in both Drop-in and in Hope House, but each takes a lead responsibility in one or the other of these projects. This post holder leads on the housing management responsibilities for Hope House.

Drop-in responsibilities :

· Welcome and assess first time guests, identifying priority needs.

· Signpost and support guests to access key statutory and voluntary services, especially housing, benefits, homelessness services etc

· Provide practical support and advice to guests , for example with helping with forms, bill enquiries, budgeting .

Hope House responsibilities

- Vet the suitability of potential residents and support them with their transition in/out of Hope House

· Hold weekly individual support sessions with residents

· Ensure tailored support plans (using Homeless Outcomes Star) are in place for each resident

· Identify “next step” housing options for residents and work with the residents to access these.

Oversee the safe and efficient running of Hope House, taking into account any relevant Supported Housing/ HMO specific requirements.

As a Senior Mental Health Advisor, you will provide strong, supportive line management to a team of Mental Health Advisors, ensuring high-quality casework, reflective practice and staff wellbeing. The South East Gambling Harms Partnership is a consortium of regional Citizens Advice offices that include: Wokingham, Reading, West Berkshire and East Berkshire offices in Berkshire and Hart, Rushmore, Basingstoke and Tadley in North Hampshire. The Role

We are looking for a strategically-minded Regional Service Manager to lead the South East Gambling Harms Partnership. You will be the architect of our strategic engagement, building trusted partnerships with NHS commissioners and local authorities to ensure gambling harms are a priority in local health responses. You will lead a dedicated team of Training Leads and Prevention Workers, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation, building strong links with VCSE partners and the wider community.

• Strategic Leadership & Influence: Act as the lead advocate for the partnership, engaging with NHS and Local Authority commissioners to ensure gambling harm prevention is embedded into local health strategies and regional policies.

• Partnership Management: Provide cohesive leadership for a collaboration of eight Citizens Advice offices, ensuring all locations are aligned, accountable, and integrating gambling screening into daily practice.

• Operational Oversight: Lead the project team (Data Officer, Training Leads, and Prevention Workers) to meet ambitious targets, while managing budgets, risks, and funder reporting.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Foster "trusted partner" relationships with grassroots organisations and wider community sectors to reach high-risk groups, including young people, veterans, minority communities and affected others.

Our Service

Our employment services are delivered in line with the IPS model, supporting people with mental health challenges to retain paid employment in line with their aspirations. IPS is delivered in close partnership with NHS mental health services, employers, commissioners and the wider system.

The Role

The IPS Team Leader has operational responsibility for the delivery, quality, performance and sustainability of Leeds Mind’s IPS (Individual Placement and Support) teams. The role ensures high-quality IPS delivery, excellent outcomes for people accessing support, and strong partnerships with NHS mental health teams, commissioners and system partners.

The post holder will provide day‑to‑day leadership to a team of IPS Employment Specialists, ensuring high‑quality delivery through effective supervision, coaching, performance management and quality assurance. The Team Leader is accountable for embedding IPS fidelity, supporting staff development and ensuring consistent, person‑centred and recovery‑focused practice across the service.

Safe housing is crucial to the recovery of survivors and two-thirds of the women we support have a housing need. This is an exciting new role to help build pathways and partnerships with housing organisations and landlords to support women and children to safety and recovery.

About the Role

The Landlord & Lettings Partnership Manager will lead on securing suitable accommodation for our service users both while they are in Solace’s services (including refuges and supported accommodation for women experiencing multiple disadvantage) and as they transition to independent living, by building strong partnerships with private landlords and registered housing providers.

As part of the business development team you will work independently to source properties, developing landlord relationships and ensuring sustainable tenancies that benefit both landlords and tenants. You will act as the bridge between landlords and applicants — identifying opportunities, negotiating agreements and supporting successful placements.

You will act as a key link between landlords, housing providers and frontline services, building a pipeline of landlords, establishing systems and processes to delivering a new letting broker service and delivering this as a working concept. Your work will directly contribute to service targets and long‑term housing solutions for survivors.

About You

You bring experience working with landlords, lettings or housing services, ideally within supported housing, homelessness or the private rented sector. You are confident building relationships, negotiating effectively and managing a varied workload in a fast‑paced environment.

Using a gender and trauma-informed approach, the Drop-in Support Worker will manage our city centre Drop-in Centre and support the women who attend. This will involve managing volunteers, providing support and advice to women, and delivering a range of activities.

About the role:

At our Harrow Road Assessment Hub in Westminster, you will work within this short stay service with a multi-disciplinary team setting. This role involves working alongside people to navigate complex situations with empathy, understanding, and consistency. You’ll be supporting clients who have experienced rough sleeping and may be facing multiple disadvantage, often alongside mental ill health and substance use, at a point where the right intervention can change everything.

As a Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Worker, you’ll go beyond traditional support. You’ll use psychologically informed approaches, with a strong focus on harm minimisation, dual diagnosis and recovery, to build trust, unlock engagement and help clients make sense of their experiences. You’ll deliver targeted interventions both one-to-one and through our in-house recovery programme, helping people move from crisis towards stability and longer-term accommodation.

You’ll work at the centre of a fast-paced, multi-agency system, building strong relationships with health, Adult Social Care and specialist services to make sure clients can access and sustain the support they need. Alongside this, you’ll bring specialist knowledge into the team, shaping best practice and strengthening how we respond to complex needs across the service.

This is a role for someone who is confident working with complexity, motivated by impact, and committed to ensuring people are not left stuck in cycles of homelessness, but supported to move forward and rebuild.

Recovery Support Workers (Mental Health) – The Recovery House

The Recovery House is a brand new, exciting and innovative service forour client and is an opportunity to create a flagship standard of support and care for those in mental health crisis. Working closely with the Recovery House Team, the role is pivotal to the effective and safe delivery of the service.

About the role

The role of Recovery Support Worker will work as part of a team in our clients regulated services and is an important role for the delivery of recovery-based and prevention services withinour clients organisation. The role will be central to the smooth running of the 24/7 service provided by Recovery House.

You will support the Waking Night team of Recovery Support Workers in providing a continuous and safe delivery of support, always ensuring high quality and person-centred care. Ensuring that compliance and adherence to CQC standards is upheld and provide appropriate information to managers. You will work in a person-centred way alongside colleagues an NHS clinical partners to de-escalate mental health crisis and help service users to return home and be pivotal in the provision of a welcoming, calm and safe environment.

The Recovery Support Worker will support the team in mobilising the service and work in a way that conforms with the expectations of the CQC, NHS and our clients standards. You will take an active part in all appropriate meetings and create and implement service user assessments and support practices.

About you

You will need to be skilful in quickly developing strong relationships with users of the service and able to support the de-escalation of crisis and the provision of a calm and supportive environment; delivering person centred interventions.

We are looking for someone who experience in delivering services in a CQC regulated residential or supported living environment, who has experience of working in partnership with key stakeholders and partner organisations. You will be knowledgeable in and committed to the “Recovery Model "of mental health support and be experienced in delivering person centred care. You will be able to provide a caring and compassionate care to service users, with the ability to provide and maintain a high-quality environment at short notice.

This role will involve working on a rota, including some evenings and weekends.

Species Recovery Manager

For decades, we have worked tirelessly to conserve and restore precious habitats across the UK and whilst there are many examples of success, we have not managed to reverse the decline in wildlife. What is needed is far greater scale and restoration of processes that enable habitats to be managed more effectively with less human intervention. This requires the return of missing species to drive those ecological processes. This includes extensive grazing with large herbivores like bison and elk, plus cattle and ponies (as proxies for extinct aurochs and tarpan), reinstatement of predator prey relationships with wildcat, lynx and white tailed eagles plus a host of translocations at local scales to help occupy empty habitat niches and increase ecosystem complexity.

This post will work across teams to support species reintroduction efforts, share best practice, develop new programmes and work towards species recovery being built into day to day conservation practices.

You are an inspiring and engaging nature recovery professional who is comfortable testing novel approaches to improve species recovery efforts, learning as you go and sharing lessons learnt with others to constantly improve the understanding of teams and across organisations. Your outgoing and collaborative working style makes you adept at building working relationships that lead to positive action.

You will have a good understanding of the complexities of species reintroduction efforts in the UK, understand the reasons for and against and be able to build support from a place of deep understanding and respect for others views. You will be used to managing complex projects in an adaptive way to achieve results.

Embrace’s Fundraising & Communications cluster comprises expertise in fundraising, marketing, communication, trading (web shop), supporter engagement and retention. Working collaboratively, we serve our supporters by providing authentic and engaging communications inspiring active social witness, engagement and giving to charity.

Cluster Purpose:

The Fundraising & Communications cluster strengthens Embrace’s communication, education, and fundraising efforts to drive growth, so that more people engage with our content; more donors are attracted to support; and the UK church is more deeply engaged with the cause - enabling us to fund more work in the region and generate a deeper understanding of Christian service in the Middle East.

Role Purpose:

As Retention & Development Manager, you’ll grow sustainable income by keeping individual supporters inspired, informed and engaged - so they give again, stay longer, and deepen their support. You will deliver excellent supporter journey experience, project managing engaging and compelling direct, and digital individual giving activity (including – but not limited to – appeals, regular giving conversion & upgrade, lapsed reactivation) and incorporating legacies marketing, raising more than £1m voluntary income each year.

What success looks like:

• Higher Life-Time Value (LTV): more second gifts, upgrades and cross channel giving; stronger legacy pipeline.
• Lower churn: reduced lapse rates for cash and regular givers.
• Better donor experience: faster thank yous, clearer impact reporting, higher satisfaction with fewer complaints/optouts.
• Sustainable mix: growth in regular giving and mid-value segments; predictable, repeatable income.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter Experience & Journeys:

• Map and continually improve journeys: welcome → second gift; regular giving nurture/upgrade; mid-value; legacy prospecting; lapsed reactivation; complaint recovery.
• Set cadence and channel mix (email, mail, phone, SMS, social, events, digital) for consistent, donor‑first communications in appropriate channels and accessible formats.
• Donor-first approach: clear, inclusive language; accessible formats; low‑friction giving/retention flows and personalisation e.g. name, last gift, interests, location, project etc.

• Project manage individual giving product development and testing; identify new audiences and routes to market.
• Collaborate with Webshop team and the Digital Marketing Campaigns Manager to optimise Alternative Gifts and cross-sell opportunities focusing on a digital first approach.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Supporter Experience Team to ensure that supporter journeys are being optimised and feedback from supporters is being captured and acted upon.
• Commission and work with the CRM and Systems Manager to develop clear and understandable dashboards, ensuring that the insights are used to develop plans and measure performance.
• Closely liaise with the Legacy administration team, working with them to ensure the packs and information are up to date and legacy marketing information complies with the latest Institue of Legacy Management standards.

Person specification

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge:

• Educated to degree standard or equivalent (E.g. practical experience within fundraising).
