As our Adviser - Charities Expert you will:

• Contribute to the implementation of CAF’s strategic consultancy work and the delivery of the Advisory team’s strategy in the context of the broader Impact Accelerator
• Proactively support Senior Advisers in the development of the business development strategy with corporates, private clients, charities, public sector and trust and foundations
• Responsible for day-to-day project management and delivery of high-quality assignments to clients
• Deliver advisory work for charity clients on strategy, fundraising, governance, impact or other areas of need
• Act as a key source of expertise for charity clients in fundraising, in major donor, individual fundraising or corporate partnerships
• Responsible for production of quality proposals in response to business leads

The Policy and Campaigns Officer will develop policy positions and campaigns that will help ensure that the needs, rights and priorities of those living with DMD are understood and acted on by decision makers, policy makers, parliament and government. The Officer will work closely with colleagues in the Policy and Communications team to support a cohesive and impactful approach to policy, engagement and communications.

Job Description

• To ensure that the charity’s policy and campaigning work is firmly grounded in the views and experiences of the DMD community and to ensure that they are consulted and involved in the development (and delivery where appropriate) of Duchenne UK’s policy positions and campaigns.
• To maximise the benefits of our existing relationships with civil servants, parliamentarians, policy makers, relevant organisations (such as NICE) and charity sector professionals and to create new relationships which help us to achieve our aims.
• To organise events and parliamentary activity working with parliamentary supporters and the DMD community.
• To devise low-budget campaigns aimed at creating positive change in policy, practice or attitudes that will improve the lives and outcomes of those living with DMD. 
• To create campaign assets such as digital and social media content in collaboration with the communications team.
• To draft consultation responses, policy positions and occasional short reports summarising the findings of research we have conducted or commissioned.
• To monitor relevant government proposals and initiatives, identifying those likely to have a major impact on the lives of those living with DMD, and to seek to influence their development.

Person Specification

Essential experience:

• Experience of working in a policy and/or campaigning role.
• Experience of writing for a range of audiences and using different channels to produce convincing, clear and succinct content across a range of platforms such as blogs, web and print.
• Experience of working with civil servants and parliamentarians.
• Experience of using digital and social media for influencing and campaigning purposes.

Desirable experience:

• Project management experience including initiating, planning, implementing and evaluating campaigns and organising events.
• Experience working in health and social care space, with pharmaceutical industry and/or a highly regulated industry and engaging with regulators.

Essential knowledge:

• Working knowledge of the healthcare system, regulatory framework and the social model of disability.

This role will be key to our growth, particularly from gifts in Wills. We’re looking for someone passionate about delivering an outstanding donor experience that will ensure our supporters feel engaged, inspired and motivated to give through SCF to build stronger communities in Somerset.

We need someone who can confidently create and deliver fundraising strategies for growth, using data and insight to inform and evaluate their success. You’ll be methodical and analytical, confident balancing multiple workstreams and have superb attention to detail. And you’ll be a great communicator, able to effortlessly write clear and compelling copy that’s tailored to our audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead SCF’s legacy fundraising programme, working closely with the Philanthropy Director and Senior Marketing Manager to create and deliver a legacy fundraising strategy.
• Lead on the creation and delivery of a stewardship framework to deliver an outstanding donor experience for SCF’s supporters and partners, including fundholders, corporate partners, charitable trusts, legacy pledgers and individual donors.
• Lead on ensuring the team are making best use of Salesforce to support effective portfolio management and reporting, and maintaining high-quality data.
• Lead on the delivery of our annual Fundholder Impact Reports, working collaboratively with the wider team including Finance and Programmes and embedding more efficient use of CRM and AI to support this.
• Work with our Senior Marketing Manager to create and deliver a high-quality stewardship events programme, including our Annual Celebration, donor visits to charities and research and insight events tailored to the interests of our supporters and partners.
• Work with the Philanthropy Director and Senior Philanthropy Manager to refresh and grow our mid-level giving programme, reviewing our existing donor base, embedding stronger donor journeys, and undertaking research and data analysis to explore new opportunities such as next-generation philanthropy.
• Lead on the delivery of SCF’s Surviving Winter Appeal and any ad-hoc emergency appeals.

About you

We are looking for a proactive and visible finance professional who is able to engage and build relationships across the organisation as a pivotal member within a values-led high performing organisation. You will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of financial management awareness and a solid understanding of charity audits and statutory accounts preparation. You will have the ability to work with staff across the organisation in supporting good financial governance and oversight of financial operational matters. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will have good ability to meet deadlines, be IT literate with an emphasis on financial systems, spreadsheets, Quickbooks and Excel. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.

About the role

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the overall Major Donor Strategy, budget, and KPIs, providing the strategic insight needed to significantly grow the programme.

As Fundraising Assistant at sister charities, ACCT UK and CCFA, you will play a key role in the growth of existing fundraising and in the creation of new income streams. We’re looking for a new passionate and enthusiastic Community Fundraising Manager to join the team from Monday 2 March 2026, following the retirement of a long-standing member of the team. The Community Fundraising Manager plays a key role within the Community, Events and Corporate Team, which is part of the wider Fundraising function in the Income Generation Directorate.

As Community Fundraising Manager you’ll be central to driving income through community engagement, supporting local fundraising initiatives, and building strong relationships with supporters

The organisation is entering an exciting chapter, having recently appointed a new Chief Executive and launched a bold five-year Strategy, supported by an ambitious three-year Strategic Fundraising Plan. This strategic plan places community fundraising at the heart of our ambition to grow sustainable income and deepen our impact, with a key focus on new business development

This dual role is split approximately 40% fundraising and 60% project leadership and partnership development. You will play a key role in securing new income streams through successful funding applications to trusts, foundations, and public-sector bodies, while also overseeing the delivery of inclusive, community-based projects and representing ECP on key strategic forums and partnership steering groups.

Key Responsibilities 

• Research, develop, and write high-quality funding bids to charitable trusts, foundations, and statutory funders. 

• Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities that align with ECP’s mission and priorities. 

• Lead, coordinate, and evaluate community and school-based projects, ensuring delivery excellence and measurable outcomes. 

• Recruit, line-manage, and support project mentors and freelance staff. 

• Represent ECP confidently at stakeholder meetings, local forums, and strategic steering groups. 

• Maintain excellent relationships with partner schools, community organisations, and funders. 

• Ensure all project delivery, data management, safeguarding, and evaluation processes meet compliance and best-practice standards. 

• Produce reports, case studies, and impact summaries for funders and stakeholders.

You are:

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to produce persuasive, evidence-based proposals. 

• Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects, partners, timelines, and budgets. 

• Strong stakeholder and partnership-building skills, with a collaborative and inclusive approach. 

• Understanding of impact measurement, data analysis, and funder reporting. 

• Experience in community, education, or youth-focused settings. 

• Confident, adaptable, and highly organised; proficient with Microsoft Office and IT tools.

You will take the lead on our Business Supporters Network: researching businesses that can support local authorities on their decarbonisation journey, reaching out to them and establishing mutually beneficial partnerships.

You will also be the go-to person internally for keeping our organisation running smoothly. From organising team meetings to developing our CRM’s functionality and ensuring our HR policies and processes are up to date and properly implemented. You will make sure people have everything they need to do their best work.

Administration of our Business Support Network

• Research businesses that can help local authorities on their decarbonisation journey
• Run due diligence checks on potential business partners to ensure they comply with our Ethical Fundraising Policy
• Set up and minute meetings, coordinate proposals
• Prepare and issue contracts and invoices
• Maintain accurate, compliant data in our CRM

Finance and HR

• Oversee income and expenditure budgets and performance
• Produce and circulate monthly management accounts
• Manage relationships with our suppliers, ensuring we get value for money and pay promptly
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, off-boarding and HR record-keeping

Operations and Governance

• Office management and coordination with our workspace provider.
• Organise team meetings and team socials
• Maintain UK100’s Customer Relationship Management system and support UK100 staff in using the CRM.
• Support UK100’s management of IT systems, ensuring staff are trained and follow best practice guidance
• Develop and improve UK100's policy and procedures, as well maintaining key organisational documents.

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Regional Legacy Giving Manager on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week. This is a fixed-term maternity cover contract lasting for 12 months.

As our Regional Legacy Giving Manager for the South, you’ll be responsible for managing and motivating a high performing team of Legacy Giving Officers and Legacy Partnership Officers.

You’ll be tasked with managing team development, setting and monitoring KPIs, overseeing the delivery of a variety of supporter led activities and will have the opportunity to lead on strategic relationships and project management. 

This is your chance to play a pivotal role in generating essential funds that drive our mission forward, supporting those living with dementia, funding ground-breaking research, and campaigning for change. If you are seeking a people management opportunity within a supportive and experienced team this could be the move for you. with will suit someone looking to expand their knowledge of this vital type of fundraising and who is interested in leading a geographically dispersed team.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience of managing events, ideally in a charity fundraising environment. You’ll have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, with the ability to manage and motivate your team to do the same. Crucially, you’ll also be able to analyse data and information to make objective decisions.

This is a home-based role based but ideally you would live in the South of England or Wales. You must be able to travel and have the flexibility to meet key stakeholders and attend events as well as internal meetings at our flagship offices.

What you’ll focus on:

- Direct line management of regionally based Legacy Giving Officers (LGOs) and Legacy Partnership Officers (LPOs) and leading them in co-ordinating the delivery of legacy events and stewardship activities, alongside developing our Will offers and engagement with legal firms.
- Meeting agreed annual targets for both legacy gifts and Will offer metrics across five regions.
- Developing and delivering the stewardship plan ensuring ongoing engagement with supporters who are interested in leaving a charitable gift in their will by upgrading and converting through the legacy cycle: enquirer, considerer, intender, pledger.
- Providing statistical and narrative reports on Team South’s legacy activity each month and as otherwise required.
- Delivering appropriate legacy fundraising awareness training to staff where this upskilling will lead to supporter referrals for the legacy pipeline.
