Volunteer Social Media Assistant
Help Forces Support share stories, raise awareness and make a difference for bereaved Armed Forces families and Veterans.
Are you creative, organised and confident using social media? Forces Support is looking for a volunteer Social Media Assistant to help promote our charity, support our shops and share the impact of our work across the UK.
As part of our friendly team, you will help create engaging content for Facebook, our website and other digital channels, supporting campaigns that encourage donations, increase footfall in our charity shops and celebrate the people who make Forces Support special.
What you will be doing
· Creating and updating social media content in line with Forces Support guidelines.
· Helping store teams promote donations, shop activity, seasonal campaigns and community events.
· Supporting website updates using WordPress and Elementor Pro.
· Capturing and sharing positive stories from volunteers, staff, shops and charity partners.
· Assisting with branded promotional materials, leaflets, posters and pricing cards.
· Helping maintain Google Business information and supporting responses to online reviews.
· Exploring opportunities to promote our work through digital retail and e-commerce platforms.
About you
· You enjoy using social media and can write clear, friendly and engaging posts.
· You have good attention to detail and can follow brand guidelines.
· You are reliable, organised and happy to work as part of a team.
· You are interested in supporting the Armed Forces community, bereaved families and Veterans.
· Experience with Facebook, WordPress, Canva, photography or video

Time commitment and location

Volunteering Arrangements
The site will follow the COVID19 safety guidelines and volunteers will be reimbursed reasonable expenses incurred whilst supporting us.
All volunteers are required to undertake our core training programme. This covers basic safeguarding and other key features, such as data protection.
New volunteers will have an opportunity to ‘shadow’ experienced volunteers and members of staff
Potentially, depending on the candidate, there may be additional opportunities to participate in a variety of accredited training courses. Please ask a manager for further details.
Volunteers are required to adhere to the organisation’s policies and practice guidelines.
Reasonable expenses, including travel whilst undertaking this role will be reimbursed. This includes mileage (currently £0.45 p/mile) and parking costs.

Flyer Distributor
What You’ll Do
Help promote Age UK Enfield services and events by distributing flyers and posters in local community spaces. You’ll raise awareness and act as a friendly face for the organisation in your local area.
You will:
· Distribute flyers and materials to homes, libraries, shops, cafes, community centres and GP surgeries
· Engage with the public in a polite, friendly way
· Answer basic questions about Age UK Enfield
· Keep a simple log of where you’ve delivered materials and how many
· Report back to your supervisor with any feedback or updates

· Confidence working independently
· Good communication skills
· Willingness to walk and stand for periods of time
· Professional and approachable attitude
· Reliable and well organised
Time Commitment
2–4 hours between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm
