As SRO you will help parishes and deaneries respond to the social needs in their community. This will focus particularly on the effective use of the Lowest Income Communities Fund, and other resources, to make a real difference to people’s lives.

Much of this work will involve working alongside volunteers and clergy in parishes to identify local need and the appropriate responses to help meet this need; supporting them to develop projects including measures of success. The role is also about promoting the prophetic call to serve those in need; building networks and trusting relationships across the Diocese; and acting as a persistent advocate and champion within, and beyond the Diocese, for those at the margins of society.

You will have significant experience of working with vulnerable people and doing so in in partnership with a range of stakeholders. Being able to manage multiple projects, including budgets; build the capacity of others and be effective and proactive in communicating are all key. An understanding, and appreciation of, God’s call to serve the poor is essential as is being comfortable in talking about Christian faith and theology.

• Familiarity with the most recent laws pertaining to minors and safeguarding procedures

The Role

As our Team Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Creating and managing monthly rotas;
• Supporting and supervising assistants;
• Organising and leading weekly team meetings;
• Inducting new starters into their role and completing competency observations;
• Overseeing reporting such as medication records, health and safety, and quality assurance;
• Leading on the planning and facilitating community events;
• Working as part of the senior leadership team to maintain a high quality of care;

The Team Manager supports the Registered Care Manager in creating and promoting community and a sense of home, leading the service delivery in line with L’Arche values, traditions and standards, and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission [CQC].

About you:

• Well-organised, IT literate and adept at allocating and delegating work appropriately.
• Accomplished in effectively leading and managing team performance, such as providing clear objectives, reviewing outcomes, putting in place development plans, and taking appropriate action to deal with poor performance.
• Proven ability to guide, support and teach the essential skills of supporting people with learning disabilities/autism.
• A clear understanding of care planning processes.
• 1 or more years’ experience as a Team Manager working with adults with learning disabilities.

We are seeking a Programmes Coordinator/Facilitator to join the Safe Ground team in HMP Lowdham Grange, Nottingham and take the lead in the effective setup, delivery, and evaluation of Safe Ground's programmes. The role involves delivering arts-based interventions aimed at supporting participants in their personal development, family relationships, and rehabilitation. You will be based at HMP Lowdham Grange, where you will develop collaborative partnerships with colleagues at the Visitors' Centre, as well as with key prison teams, wing staff, and, most importantly, the programme participants.

We're looking for someone with a passion for arts-based interventions, you will see relationships as central to personal development and be creative in your approach to positively influence and persuade others. You will be able to use group work, arts, and drama techniques to support participants to rehearse new behaviours and experience alternative perspectives. You will have excellent communication skills, and support skills. 

What we are looking for:

• Background in arts education, dramatherapy, applied theatre or equivalent 
• Practical experience and/or knowledge on group work facilitation
• Experience of working with and engaging with diverse groups of people from varying backgrounds
• IT proficiency, able to learn new software. Confidence in Microsoft packages
• Resonance with Safe Ground and Social Interest Group values
• Understanding and/or experience working with therapeutic groupwork techniques, be able to deliver this to others

• Previous experience within a prison or other criminal justice setting and/or within a similar role

• Create and deliver engaging high-quality programmes which support rehabilitation, reintegration, and reablement for participants within the prison at various stages of their personal journey.
• Coordinate all aspects of promotion, recruitment and evaluation of programmes.
• Develop content and deliver this to different learning needs and styles.
• Co-Facilitate workshops and activities to support rehabilitation, combining arts-based interventions with course delivery.
• Collect and manage feedback, using this to continuously improve content and programmes. 
• Support with all aspects of risk management, information management, and case recording as needed.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.

The Community Leader (Director) leads the Community in living the mission of L’Arche in our community life, by providing outstanding, person-centred and financially sustainable care and support services, by support for shared community and spirituality, and by engagement with the wider community around us.

The Role

• Maintain and enhance high-quality, person-centred care, support, and housing for people with learning disabilities, both at home and in our day services. .
• Ensure the Community’s financial sustainability through robust financial planning and management. 
• Foster a culture that maximises the voice and power for people with learning disabilities, and builds listening and collaboration between Community members with and without learning disabilities (including through an active Community Support Group, Community Council, Community Gatherings, listening circles, and other forums).

Mental Health Homelessness Outreach Team Leader

Working base: Flexible to one of our seven Wellbeing Centres across Hertfordshire, dependent on location.

About the Service

This is a pilot service working as a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs. The Complex Needs Housing Team Leader plays a significant role in the co-ordination and running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Complex Needs Housing Service are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
• To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health with positive outcomes for the individual.
• To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
• To work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) consisting of Change Grow Live (CGL), District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.

This role is key to the development and support of the team and the wider organisation. 

The post holder will need to:

• Support the Services Manager with effective running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.
• Provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. These will be clients who are presenting to District and Borough councils as homeless and need intervention and support with their mental health.
• Line manage staff and where necessary volunteers.
• Lead a team of Mental Health Outreach Workers. Ensuring the team are using databases and outcome tools as required to report for the project.

Key Responsibilities

• To receive and process referrals from the local district and borough Councils for those who have presented as homeless with a mental health need, as well as other appropriate referrals pathways across Hertfordshire and make direct contact within 72 hours of referral.
• To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working.
• To manage a caseload of up to 5 clients.
• Embed a holistic, trauma informed and person-centred service
• Proactively recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies.
• Ensure a direct community service is in place which encourages, motivates and builds patients self-esteem and confidence. This will include goal setting and support with social and practical skills development.
• Ensure all person-centred risk assessments and support plans are completed as appropriate.
• To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, drug and alcohol services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
• To work with partners both internal and external to ensure that vulnerable person’s cases are monitored and risks evaluated in order to promote community safety.
• Support clients to build their emotional resilience and crisis planning tools, promoting self-management through building an understanding of their own triggers/coping strategies.
• To work with HMN staff in other services in order to make onward referrals to other projects.
• Liaise with appropriate HPFT staff to ensure that individuals are assessed for personal budgets to support with any longer-term needs.
• Support individuals to develop sustainable local social networks, both through our Herts Mind Network Wellbeing Centres and other community services and resources.

The successful candidate will play a significant role in the co-ordination and running of the Complex Needs Housing Service.
