The Senior Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in leading Alzheimer's Research UK's social media function, driving supporter growth, brand awareness, engagement, and income; as well as significantly advancing our influencing and advocacy goals. This role is a key investment in transforming our social media output, aligning with the broader Digital, Data and Technology and Strategic Marketing plans that are developing our future operating model.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing a compelling, integrated, proactive and reactive organic social media strategy that positions Alzheimer's Research UK as the leading voice in dementia research in the UK. This role will ensure our social media presence consistently reflects the highest standards of quality and creativity, while driving our strategic roadmap across platforms. Beyond responding to conversations and trends, this role will help the charity contribute to discussions, shape narratives, and influence public dialogue in ways that support our mission and values. You will lead a talented and passionate team, continuing to build a high-performing environment and acting as a visible ambassador for our socials both internally and externally.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Strategic Leadership
· Social Media Strategy Development: Build on an existing comprehensive, integrated social media strategy aligned with our fundraising, brand, communication, influencing, and advocacy goals, ensuring it contributes to our organisational strategy.
· Team Leadership & Management: Provide strong leadership and line management to the Social Media Manager, continue to build a high-performing social team of five others, setting clear objectives, and supporting their professional development.
· Cross-Organisational Integration: Work closely with senior colleagues across the organisation to integrate social media into wider marketing and organisational objectives, ensuring a fully prioritised, holistic 'engagement-first' approach.
· Future-Proofing & AI Adoption: Lead the strategic exploration, development, and implementation of AI tools within the social media function, identifying opportunities for AI while ensuring human guardianship for brand consistency and strategic alignment.
· Performance Reporting: Be accountable for social media performance, providing detailed and accurate reporting to senior stakeholders, using data and insights to drive optimisation and inform future strategies.
Operational Excellence & Innovation
· Content Strategy & Oversight: Oversee the development and delivery of proactive social media content that resonates with a range of audiences across multiple platforms (e.g. people with dementia/carers, decision-makers, supporters, wider public). This content should come from multiple teams and sources; and this role will focus on ensuring the highest levels of quality.
· Breaking News & Responsiveness: Ensure the team can react quickly and appropriately to breaking news and channel-specific trends, developing and executing robust processes and protocols for rapid, impactful responses.
· Community Management Excellence: Champion and oversee best-in-class community management, ensuring empathetic, timely, and on-brand interactions with our supporters, stakeholders and the public.
· Target Audience Engagement: Work with teams across the organisation to develop and manage processes to engage with key target audiences including celebrities, influencers, politicians and fundraisers.
· Out-of-Hours Coverage: Implement and manage a formalised structure for out-of-hours cover, ensuring consistent responsiveness and shared responsibility across the social team.
Collaboration & Empowerment
· Internal Training & Upskilling: Drive internal digital and social literacy by providing expert guidance, training, and support to other teams across the organisation, enabling greater shared ownership of social media best practices.
· External Partner Management: Provide strategic oversight and guardianship for any outsourced social media support, ensuring high standards of service, brand alignment, and value.
· Stakeholder Influence: Influence and collaborate at the highest levels with senior stakeholders across the organisation, advocating for social media's critical role in achieving campaign and organisational goals.

What we are looking for:
· Proven experience in developing and delivering comprehensive social media strategic plans within a complex organisation.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

The Humanitarian Mobilisation and Partnerships Senior Lead plays a key role in strengthening collaboration, mobilising expertise, and driving systemic change in line with the HLA Strategy 2025-2027. This role ensures that the HLA's initiatives are rooted in equitable partnerships, locally led action, and collective leadership efforts rather than isolated interventions.
The role will provide strategic oversight, coordination, and innovation to ensure that the HLA's work in leadership, learning and partnerships is aligned with global and regional humanitarian priorities. We are looking for someone with the following experience, competencies and skills
• Direct experience of contributing to the mobilisation of humanitarian expertise, such as managing or delivering through rosters, surge mechanisms, or regional leadership networks, ideally in ways that connected people to timely leadership, learning, or crisis response support.
• A strong track record of developing and maintaining partnerships with national and local actors, where collaboration is structured, accountable, and grounded in shared goals, not just relationship management but delivering through partnerships in practice.
• Ability to think strategically and systemically, including identifying where partnerships, mobilisation efforts, or resourcing models can shift leadership closer to crisis-affected contexts.
• Demonstrated experience aligning partnership or mobilisation work with organisational strategies and funding opportunities, including contributing to proposals, working within donor frameworks, and supporting sustainable delivery models.

Role purpose
This is a new role, where the director will bring together the work of the Advocacy and the Communications teams to lead JCWI's campaigns. The Director leads JCWI’s campaigns and community organising; policy and parliamentary advocacy; working in alignment with directly impacted communities and partners within and beyond the migration sector. The Director builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensures the organisation’s collective expertise influences political debates and the public narrative on migrants’ rights and racial justice.
The role provides strategic leadership for JCWI’s campaigns to drive forward positive change for migrant rights in an increasingly hostile political climate, and supports a wide range of work building campaigns, coalitions and networks to advance migrant justice, ensuring that JCWI is a generous and collaborative partner, working in solidarity with all groups, including grassroots and community groups, unions, faith groups and NGOs.
The Director provides line management and strategic leadership to the Advocacy and Communications Team, overseeing the direction of the team, overseeing the teams' work and ensuring close, collaborative working relationships across all teams.
The Director is a lead spokesperson for the organisation, representing JCWI and our values at public forums, in the media and within coalitions. They will set the narrative and agenda for public discourse on migrant rights and border reform, lead the organisation’s long-term digital outreach and engagement work and support the team to create compelling and accessible content, driving traffic to our digital channels and converting this into successful supporter and donor recruitment and engagement strategies. They maintain the visibility of JCWI and its messages and protect & promote JCWI’s reputation as a leading voice in the discourse on migration, rights, and racial justice in the UK.

Main purpose of post
To support accurate financial administration and effective donor data
management. This role is vital to ensuring that income from donations is
processed promptly and accurately, enabling timely thank-you
communications and excellent donor stewardship. The role will also undertake
data work to enable the charity to manage its data effectively, monitor its
service delivery and impact.
Key responsibilities
Donation Processing & Stewardship Support
Accurately process all cash and cheque income batches into our
fundraising CRM and finance systems.
Process and code incoming donations from a range of sources, including
online platforms (e.g JustGiving, Raisely, PayPal, Stripe, CAF, Enthuse).
Ensure all funds are banked in a timely manner and act as the main
contact for arranging cash collections.
Maintain and update the donor database with accurate donation records
and supporter details.
Process supporter Gift Aid declarations and assist with submission of Gift
Aid claims.
Liaise with the fundraising and communications teams to ensure donors
are thanked promptly and appropriately.
Flag anomalies or issues with donation data to relevant staff to maintain
high standards of data quality and supporter care.
Finance Administration
Support the monthly reconciliation of income between finance systems.
Support the Finance Executives with processing purchase invoices, staff
expenses, and supplier payments in accordance with charity procedures,
as needed.
Support monthly and quarterly finance reports and audits as required.
Data Management
Ensure high standards of accuracy and integrity of CRMs and finance
databases through regular data cleaning and maintenance.
Help compile reports for funders, internal monitoring, and annual
accounts.
Assist the Data and Systems Manager with reviewing existing systems
and processes to identify opportunities for improvements.
Follow GDPR and internal data handling policies when processing
supporter and financial information.
General administration and collaboration
Work closely with colleagues in data, finance and fundraising.
Undertake other administrative duties as required by the line manage
Who you are
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Data and Finance Assistant who is
highly organised and with a flexible approach to work.
You must possess strong analytical skills and enjoy working across team functions to
produce high quality results. This is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a team that

Based at Rennie House, Tring with some travel between all Rennie Grove Peace locations required to meet business needs.
