Mental Wellbeing Manager
Job Summary:
The Mental Wellbeing Manager will lead Manor Gardens’ culturally competent, trauma-informed mental health work with young men aged 18–25 funded by City Bridge Foundation, and oversee our wider wellbeing programme, funded through other sources including individual giving. They will be responsible for delivering early intervention and therapeutic support for young men from Black and minoritised backgrounds and refugees and asylum seekers, while also managing the delivery of a broader programme of community wellbeing activities for adults.
The postholder will line-manage two Activities Workers and have oversight of a pool of sessional staff and volunteers delivering peer support, group activities, and therapeutic interventions. This role requires a strong understanding of mental health, experience in group and 1-to-1 support, and a commitment to culturally competent, person-centred approaches.

Role Overview and Purpose:
The Mental Health Nurse is a key member of our team, focused on delivering high-quality mental health services to young men in the community. This role requires a proactive approach to engage with individuals who have not previously accessed mainstream mental health support, using culturally sensitive methods to build trust and promote mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
1. City Bridge Mental Health Programme Delivery (50%)
· Ensure the effective delivery of therapeutic and early intervention support for young men aged 18–25, including one-to-one and group support.
· Oversee work delivered by sessional psychotherapeutic staff and ensure quality, safeguarding, and continuity.
· Facilitate or coordinate safe, inclusive peer support spaces in community settings.
· Use culturally competent and trauma-informed practices to build trust and engagement among the target group.
· Conduct initial screening or assessments where appropriate and manage referrals to statutory and specialist mental health services.
· Collaborate closely with the Clinical Lead and Evaluation Lead to ensure the quality, safety, and effectiveness of delivery.
2. Recruit, train and support Peer Mentors
· Recruit two cohorts of 8 young bilingual adult men and women from Black, minoritised and refugee backgrounds, who have lived experience of mental ill health, exploitation, violence or traumas related to their experience of migration.
· Oversee the accredited training of 16 young adults as Peer Mental Health Mentors (two cohorts) in partnership with CANDI and ensure additional training in safeguarding, cultural competency and equalities
· Provide 121 support to Peer Mental Health Mentors and ensure they access clinical supervision
3. Management of Wellbeing Team and Sessional Staff (20%)
· Line-manage two Activities Workers responsible for delivering adult wellbeing activities (e.g. gardening, yoga, ESOL, conversation cafés).
· Provide supervision, direction, and support to ensure delivery aligns with MGWT’s values and trauma-informed approach.
· Oversee a pool of sessional facilitators and volunteers, ensuring coordination, safeguarding, and quality of delivery.
· Support co-production and ensure wellbeing activities are shaped by the voices of service users with lived experience.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation (10%)
· Maintain accurate records of all therapy sessions, assessments, and referrals.
· Collect and analyse data to evaluate the effectiveness of mental health interventions.
· Work with partners at Metropolitan University to ensure the external evaluation of the service.
· Contribute to the development of evaluation reports and share findings with key stakeholders including the All-Age Mental Health Partnership Board and Locality Leadership Boards.
5. Partnerships and Community Engagement (5%)
· Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners (e.g. CANDI, MIND, housing providers, youth and refugee organisations).
· Represent MGWT in borough-wide forums (e.g. All-Age Mental Health Partnership Board, Bright Lives Alliance).
· Promote the service through local outreach, events, and communication with community partners.
6. Organisational and Other Duties (5%)
· Contribute to MGWT-wide initiatives and cross-organisational learning and planning.
· Attend internal meetings, training, and working groups.
· Undertake other duties as reasonably required to support the effective functioning of MGWT services.

· A recognised qualification in mental health or psychological support (e.g. RMN, PGDip in Psychotherapy or Counselling, Occupational Therapy (Mental Health), or other UK-recognised accreditation).
· Significant experience delivering mental health or wellbeing support to people from minoritised or refugee backgrounds.
· Experience delivering trauma-informed and culturally competent support.
· Proven experience facilitating group and 1-to-1 support in community settings.

Job Description: Training and Events Officer
The Training and Events Officer will play a key role developing and delivering high quality professional development, training, events, workshops to SLA members and wider audiences. The postholder will develop inspirational, insightful and innovative routes to supporting SLA members to deliver on their school library provision remit, enabling children and young people to reach their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about school libraries, education and training.
You will work with the CEO, SLA colleagues and key stakeholders to develop and deliver a comprehensive training offer, including leading on logistics planning and delivery of our flagship annual conference. In addition, you will develop and maintain a calendar of exciting events and opportunities to share knowledge and insight, working with colleagues to ensure the offer is timely and informative. A confident facilitator and coordinator, you will be comfortable leading on training delivery, or recruiting and working with external facilitators in order to achieve specific outcomes. Creative, with a flair for spotting opportunities for professional development, you will have a keen eye for detail and an ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines. Resource creation will be second-nature to you and you’ll be comfortable writing for adults and children, and young people.
Duties include:
- Logistics planning and delivery of the flagship event, SLA Annual Conference (currently called the Weekend Course) providing high quality professional development and networking opportunities to members
- With CEO and key stakeholders, supporting the development of a comprehensive, engaging and exciting conference programme and recruit 40 exhibitors, plus event speakers as needed
- Supporting development of the training strategy working with the CEO to define aims and objectives
- Developing and maintaining a calendar of training, workshops and events aligned with the training strategy, working with the CEO and SLA colleagues, in particular the Outreach Support Officer

The salary for this position is £21,945.95 (FTE £29,000) for 28 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a LifeSupply Facilitator to join our passionate LifeSupply Team at Causeway. As LifeSupply Facilitator, you will play a vital role in distributing material assistance to service users at Causeway.
You will assist the LifeSupply Coordinator in organising and fulfilling donations of useful items such as bedding, sim cards and clothing to our service users; whilst also assisting on the smooth fulfilment of the Glasspool grant. This includes ensuring trackers are organised, up to date and meet the requirements necessary, whilst liaising with advocates about their applications.
A key part of the role will be working from the storage unit in Hillsborough, Sheffield, photographing and valuing incoming donations of stock, along with LifeSupply volunteers, to keep the LifeSupply platform up to date with donations for the service users to choose from. The role will be split 50% in the storage unit, physically packing orders, photographing donations and organising the space, and 50% laptop-based work, completing Glasspool applications, valuing donations and maintaining trackers, which can be conducted at home or in the office.
You will contribute on improving service user’s access to material assistance during their time at Causeway. Your work will help ensure that every service user has access to items which will improve their quality of life, such as clothing and homeware, and bridge the poverty gap that they often face.

SUN was launched in 2021 and is a service delivered by MFT and SABP for people with difficulties associated with the diagnosis of personality disorder. The innovative SUN service is based on therapeutic community principles and members are expected to both give and receive support as part of their membership.
The Role
The SUN facilitator with lived experience will be working closely with a SUN specialist clinician to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) support groups in different community-based locations across Surrey and North East Hampshire.
SUN provides community-based, open access facilitated peer support groups and aims to help people develop effective ways of coping and improve their relationship with themselves and others.
We are looking for individuals who are highly resilient and are confident in sustaining an emotionally demanding paid role.
Key responsibilities include:
• Co-deliver regular SUN support groups in the community, both face to face and online, with a clinical facilitator.
• Work in collaboration with the co-facilitator and the SUN members.
• Use own lived experience of mental health problems associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder to support the development and knowledge of the service and wider services.
• Contribute to ensuring that any potential risk is being constantly assessed within a culture of positive risk taking and shared responsibility.
• Co-lead on different areas of the service on a rota basis, i.e., reporting, outreach, and member involvement.
• Undertake all the required training in line with the development of the post and as agreed with both your line manager within MFT and the service manager of SUN.
• Attend and contribute to additional service development meetings as required.
• Assist in the promotion of the service through active liaison, meetings, and presentations with people who access services, staff and other organisations.

Key Responsibilities
Hospitality & Wellbeing Support:
- Greet all guests, acting as the first point of contact between the team and external stakeholders visiting 1 Wharf Cottage, namely our clients, volunteers and partners.
- Prepare and serve teas, coffees, and refreshments to clients, volunteers and visitors, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist the operations and psychology team with daily administrative tasks, including managing scheduling meetings and client assessments / reviews.
- Assist in the set-up and facilitation of nature-based mental health group activities, providing support to the group leaders and facilitators (where required).

Good relationships shape our health and happiness, yet we are taught so little about them. LMK is a registered education charity on a mission to change that. We run workshops educating young people about healthy and unhealthy behaviours, so that they can avoid abuse and thrive in relationships.

Expectations of LMK Leaders

With teams in England, Scotland and Wales, working with hundreds of ‘at risk’ students, we are looking to appoint a Regional Manager in South East Wales who will be responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of our programme in Wales.
